    NO - do not mean to yell, but you really should see the correc type of doc once pain due to working out becomes bad enough to prevent exercize. It may not be a pediatrist, it might be a sports med doc - then you could also get in a fit test and such.

    I have begun to replace the crisp of a cracker with dried edamame, soy nuts, kelp and such - I also found acracker made from pressing hard aged cheddar and baking the fat out of it...7 g protien!

  8. There have been at least three this morning - from two people. One of the most important things we need to do is get away from bad habits - and the triggers and cues surrounding them - these types of "it helped me" ads were the tug in a thousand ads that pulled in millions of people. It is just too close for comfort, in aiding pre-sleeve habits. It is also unethical to treat this board as an opportunity for financial gain. I say that, and yes, I bought a exercize DVD from a young lady on here recently - but it was being offered as she cleaned up her closet - and she stressed she never used it. I have recommended products, too - but I do not profit from them. We have all probably recomended something, which is different.

    Absolutely! Your nutrition is so important now! Get on vitamins ASAP - get in your essential amino's and start drinking a protien drink again - and get to your doc right away.
  12. All scar creme is is a mild acid - just wait on that. Keep hydrated, lose as modestly as you can - at first it will probably be more than you can control, but slow loss will give your stretch marks time to "heal" the never go away. Also remember - stretch marks generally do not tan as well as undamaged skin - so the more you bronze up, the more it will show. Vitamins are good, but a complete Multivitamin is as good as anything else - b vitamins are important and bee pollen is good, too. It has all the essential amino acids. PROTIEN IS ESSENTIAL FOR YOUR SKIN - believe it ir not it is mega important, and I stand by the studies that say lean, healthy forms of animal flesh will help your skin just as much as your muscles, teeth and hair. I had a good friend who literally crawled oot of a small aircraft when it cought on fire - the had 3rd degree burns everywhere - he had been a vegan for over a decade. He had a list of doctors that was the who's who when money does not count - and each one told him, eat meat or take up to 300% longer to heal, with more scars...

    Canadian Gym Bans Skinny People

    Allowing companies to discriminate against anyone opens up the ability to interperet the policies they decide upon unfairly. I hate to say it, but they will fail if they do not let the more trim, athletic people in - what do you do for trainers? Hmmm...somewhere there is a solution, I just don't think this is it.
  16. I don't kno whow much more it is really - it SEEMS like alot more. I have been going back and forth with liquids while my tummy decides to be OK or not. I think it has finally agreed to be less disagreeable. I ate a buffalo slider patty from central market - probably 3-4 oz grilled down (wish I had weighed it before) a medallion about 2" in diameter and about 1/2 inch thick. I was able to eat some very mushy zuchinni also - but was obviously full when done. With liquids this is no problem for me, but this much "food" I am not sure I have ever done before..is that a reasonable amount? I feel discomfort in my tummy area today, but only recently, and it seems past my stomach - further down the path, I guess. Could I have irritated the sleeve? I kno wtechnically you cannot easily stretch out the sleeve, but can you "trick" your tummy into delaying feeling satiated? I want imput from sleevers, not medical journals on this one! Should I switch back into a liquid diet? a boot camp, so to speak? I am doing the zombie 5k in december, and starting the Insanity workout with my Hubby in a month, so I had hoped to be able to have real animal flesh well before Insanity.

    Pshaw! I think I would be another dress size smaller if not for sagging skin...if you actually removed the "lap" then i don't know...I am very prone to abdominal fat. So almost all my loss, all the time has focused on my mid-section (when I say no hips or thighs, ladies and gents, I mean it). I am also prone to muscle gain in my chest, which pushed the fat out on my arms, leaving me a mini-fold mid bicep. I can take a pair of size 8 jeans and pull them right up to my hips till they hit the lap. no kidding. That was one reasson I am thinking about a panni (I think that is what they call it) before I start the last stretch...and the hardcore plastics. Realistically the pani would not take too much, like I said maybe a size, because abdominal fat is marbled throughout the abdomen...

    If I recall correctly that sounds good to start. I go everyday now, but it may be very little. I have begun to add fiber to my diet, and my workout routine is a part of it...Yoga=poop.
  19. Your employer! I meant to mention this - if you are an employee in good standing your employer might consider paying it. You just have to ask.
  20. Either your insurance coordinator, or the accounting department - accounting is going to be more familiar with whether or not they will arrange somethign with you. Why do they cover the surgery in full and not your doctor? If you chose another doctor would you have less to pay? You might be suprised at how much you can come up with quickly...figure out how much you can pay the doctor, by what date - and then ask if they can arrange for the rest. There are more ways to get this than any one of us realize...anything from ebay to yard sales to cutting off cable and not eating out, to a card that is 0% within so many months. Not my idea but one young lady moved back with her parents for an agreed upon time, the difference in rent is her surgery! I sold a kidney! Ok..I didn't sell a kidney...
  21. runforyourlives.com zombie 5k obstacle course. You are literally chased by zombies - you can volunteer to be a zombie, too!..and I have friends who have already to been to a few, and they say it is awesome! There are events scheduled in several places, still! Come run with me! lol.

  23. Well, aside from maybe chewing better, I think it sounds like I did OK - it was def. under 3 oz, because it was just about that, precooked. The size of zuchinni was not enough to take it past a half cup of food - volume wise. Weight? meh - probably not either. Good suggestions and reminders. 1: chew better 2: 1/2 cup by volume 3: measure before you eat while out! Thanks everyone - and please - more omput from anyone who can. Thanks!
  24. I can't speak for the weigh you started at, but over 10 lbs a month is great...if you did that for a year you would lose 120 lbs + !!! At this rate your skin will recover much better than it would have otherwise. Just take it slow and easy - relearn your body - get rid of your old habits and create good ones...read alot and not just here - I will make a book list for you if you are interested. "The Power of Habit" has been an incredible find...
