    Sex After Weight Loss

    Our relationships post-sleeve are something everyone has thought and worried about. Thanks for reminding everyone that there are some very real, very positive things to be shared after surgery with your signifigant other. I wrap my lleg around my Hubby's waist now when I am asleep...I apparently dont even know it. he seems quite pleased Just one of many things we enjoy now

  3. OMG people! I just busted my lip raising up my knee to tie my shoe. I am in my office chair and I leaned forward slightly raised my foot off the ground to be able to reach my foot to tie my lace, and I raised my knee so high I smashed my lip! No belly in the way, so it just kinda "wham"...sooo happy no one saw it here, yet had to share...I take them where I can get them!

    Are there any other symptoms than really bad cramps? Do you run a fever? Do you EVER have blood in your stool?

    Question About Pre-Op Liquid Diet

    If you are asking what i think yo are asking, it should be High protien, low, low carb and low but reasonable fat - think 70/10/20 protien/carb/fat - or at least that was what I did.

    So Hungry!

    Try this: Take a Soup, I recommend something like V8 cambells golden butternut, and a roast beef of some kind - a little fatty BUT we are going for easy on the tummy since you are only 4 weeks out. Blend well, and have small, timed sips - this should take at least 1/2 hour. Stop if you feel full. Time how long till you feel the feeling. Well, it stops there for now, because that determines alot...message me if you do this and let me know how it went. Sorry I have to be brief but at work and headed into a meeting
  7. Follow the plan, be very good to your tummy, eat low carb, get in your protien, take your Multivitamin, get in your Water. Exercise. sleep. Work out your "issues" as you go so you can maintain later. You will accomplish your goal if you follow "the plan" you will maintain your goal if you follow maintenance. There is no such thing as an inability to lose NOTHING on what we are doing. Be diligent, and be calm...you will get through this. Hugs and gentle, cool, white energy headed your way...

    I Can Suddenly Eat More

    I find it still comes and goes a bit, but yes, it did seem to happen quickly when it did finally happen. bu tthe leftover hungry feeling may be a bit of acid, and the only way you can tell, for sure, is take an antacid - I can tell mild hunger from acid just by taking a tums sugar free. Just no reason to tempt the old head if you don't have to. PS - you will be tempted to "push" your sleeve t osee when you are full - don't. i suggest stick to about 1/4 of protien at a time, mind the liquids rule, and if in about a week you are good, try about a tablespoon more...you aren't aiming to stretch, just get in as much protien as you can. Good luck and yay on not being so dependent on the shakes!

    So far been losing by butt in a major way, which says a bit since I never really had one...I was an apple, in a bit of an upside down triangle sort of way... You can see my butt in one of my pics, pretty much says it all. But what I have left, Hubby has noted, is pretty solid!

    Tired?

    Have ou changed anything else? Meds? sleeping patterns? Could your menses be changing? I sound like a worry wart but go get some bloodwork - Iron, bvitamins, etc...don't readily blame it in the food unless you have changed up your eating or exercizing.

    Um, one question - has your hubby spoke up to her and said "ask her yourself (please)"? Or is he having convo's and then later telling you about them? That is an aspect you might consider, IF you feel thatm well it is something you need to consider... That sounded so PA but wasn't meant to!

    Not enough info and would still probably be open to interpretation. I had people do that that some were being nosey an dsome were interested but embarassed and some wante dto be postitive to me, but also wanted to make sure "underneath" I was handling things.

How much can we or do we, yo ucould theoretically eat a TON of calories - your sleeve is just a tool, and not designed long-term to limit your calories, just reduce your hunger needs - remember, without constant exercize you will never really need much mroe than 1000 calories a day. Get back to an eating schedule. Eat your protiens first, in a measured amount (say about 4 oz), not to exceed that amount but feel for your fullness, and know that if you hit a half cup or so you are good - this is where your tummy stops and your head hunger begins...where you have to grab the reins. You know you graze, so avoid it and get away from the kitchen, the house if necessary.

    Try some tums gas strips, or take a sugar free TUMS and let it dissolve or chew really well - you can even break it up in a pestle first... Good chance you have acid, and it feels like hunger - I think alot of our head hunger can be countered wit an antacid...the head part triggers a physical release of stomach acid - and it has gerlin like reactions...
  22. Phew! You figure it out you let me know. It is hard. I still don't see myself at the size I am. I just had a young lady from the acro yoga class post to facebook that "we all think you are amazing and we love you so much!" - I haven't even responded. I don't know what to say, WE? that caught me too - because I know I am occasionally a 'topic' and people discuss me, but when it is brought to my attention I just don't know what to say. I was in the middle of a field last weekend, and TEN people from the group I practice with all walked up to me at once, and these are just kids - teens, early twenties, students, waiters, some grads - and they all were like "no offense, is this you?" and they had a pic of me posted to a friend's gun range, and I was a size 28 then. Before I could die of embarassment one of the guys said - "I told you she did it, and that was how I knew I could too" - and I was like what??? But then I realized this was the same man that I had a conversation with in March - but about 40 lbs lighter. To make a long story short I faced all these people and they all wanted answers, because they ALL had people they loved, and wanted them well, and it was overwhelming. My husband has begun to read me well, he knows when to come in and get his arms around me, even if we are just standing around somewhere. He kids me that I have changed so much, and I have noticed my friends are more protective now. Has anyone else noticed this?

  24. Consider she crab soup, you can add extra crab, or I did on my soft stage. Soups with mushy veggies, or strained veggies. Thick meat purees, sometimes - I had caviar at this phase too...and baked almonds - but they have to be baked in something, like a cranberry goo, lol. they get super tender that way. I had cheddar cheese, BUT softened by leaving at room temp. mushed zuchinni, turnips, cauliflour, and if you can stand it avacado. whey is an option now, too if you like it. quail eggs lightly poached are most awesome. I had tefa at this point, but in moderation.
