  1. Nice! I love laughing cow cheese! I didn't realize it was ok for me to eat! Thanks I'm gonna go get a slice right now!!!
  2. That's the attitude! I agree 100% I cannot and will not give up something I love like volleyball! It keeps me sane and is also a good workout! Thanks
  3. Thanks everyone I was sooooo depressed when I read some of the things people were saying about volleyball. How I should never play again, thats just not a option. Im a very active 26 yr old and volleyball is something i could never give up. Thank you for the suggestions, ill definitely talk to my doctor about getting something to protect the port because theres no doubt in my mind I will be falling on it (eventually)!! Im on my 3rd week post op so im going to give it a few more weeks before I get back into the game, just to be sure! My port is tender by touch, will that ever go away???
  4. Hi everyone I was banded 11/11/11. I not only play volleyball 2 times a week (power) but also coach. I'm not going to say its very minimal contact because it's not, I'm sprawling a lot and on the floor digging balls up.... I'm worried about the port and band when I start to play again. I have read someone say I could never play again and others say u can play right away. Any thoughts?? Ps never playin again is NOT a option!!
  5. I checked out the site, very helpful! Thanks!
  6. Haha ok thought maybe there was some other way of getting protein lol!! And how many grams per day were you all told??
  7. I'm almost 2 weeks post op and I'm sooo gasy and feel bloated all the time!! Ive been eating slow and chewing good. Is this common? And if so can is there any medicine I could take to help??
  8. Thanks everyone!! That was my first post, glad someone responded!! It's also really hard for me to drink the whey drinks, any suggestions??
  9. I was banded 11/11/11 (I will never forget that date!) My doctor moved me onto puréed foods but didn't mention anything but drink 20 grams of protein, calcium citrate, and vitamins daily. I just joined this website and notice people talking about calories and stuff like that?? Should I be counting calories? Also since there's not much I can eat I've been living on yogurt, mashed potatoes and eggs!! I was on the south beach diet previous to surgery but feel that's impossible to do until I can eat solids.... Any suggestions??
