How nice and fresh your life is turning out walker. What a difference WLS makes. Very happy

I'm sorry you have more grief. Divorce is painful. Losing an older friend hurts a lot too. But now to have to reveal private info. How dreadful. I like lisacaron advice about the privacy issue. And DO remember why you cannot live with this man anymore.... Sigh. Wish your mom could remember why also. You need some things now from her..... (Love support and documents)Most likely she will at some time need you too down the rocky road of life????

I'm in Swell Hell, and other musings from recent plastics
Julie norton replied to MichiganChic's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Happy to hear all sides of plastics here. Thanks for all the practical advice. I'm gonna need it in march My youngest son is getting married at the end of May. Hoping to have some results by 3 months out. ??? Sounds like we all do differently with these procedures -
Anyone have to reboot and essentially start over?

I agree. Hard to understand how people are able to "eat around" the band. I'm thinking if your properly adjusted, too much food would just 1)make You very uncomfortable 2) make me vomit 3)make me feel like I wasn't being serious if it happened more than a few times I truly don't understand but would be open to listening to how regains of all weight loss happen. It could happen to any of us not working our band right I suppose. I see it on this board a lot???? -
I don't know Dylan. Those Seahawks can be down right overpowering. Interesting to see which coast takes it. Hope it is an exciting game!!!

Marie It is loving ourselves that I find hard at times. And whatever is a great size for you.. We are all behind our fellow bandsters feeling right in their own skin???? -
I am so pleased that even with a little incorrect eating, I can still get back on the wagon and go down the road I've chosen. I adore my band almost always. Except when it gets fickle But I'm sticking with this good tool and happy with my choice. Sometimes it is difficult to see so many people complain about a tool. I'm sorry it didn't work for them, but I don't want to read a lot of negative posts some days. Just me

Even with excess skin, you are healthier.....right? I watch those 600 lb shows too. What is it about them that makes me watch and root for those that lose a lot? Amazing results at most times even if they don't get to anyone's "goal". I have read the bmi charts were made by insurance companies and are not accurate. I like that explanation

Happy to see others joyful. Rotten Year losing my husband suddenly in May. His birthday tomorrow... Mine next week. Not feeling it????????. Just want it to be 2015. Sorry to be a negative nancy ... I just want to hide til after the new year????????
-
I too have to remind myself to eat. Who woulda thunk? Such a different mindset after all these years. I do get hunger signals sometimes around 4-5 pm. I use protein bars and readymade protein shakes for those days I just don't feel like eating. But I know I need something to fuel my body. Easy huh?

I feel your body sort of selects a set point where it is comfortable. May be higher than charts and docs want. But what do YOU want? A size 12 was great for me. I am so healthy a few extra lbs come and go. But I basically hover around the same weight for 7 years that is how I figured my end zone. Good luck

Thank you walker. You are such an insightful person. I truly appreciate the truth from those that have been through widowhood and back. Seems like the fog has lifted a bit.....still trying to get thru My health is wonderful. That is the most positive thing I can say and my kids are coming Sunday for a family luncheon. Thanks again. I value your posts toake me laugh. And cry

Compliance is a hard job. Diligence is hard Weighing 80lbs more is harder than any of those. I'm thrilled with my band for many years. Not perfect. But really happy w/a size 12 -
Yes. My support group is 99%sleevers. I am the only bandster present. Plus after 8 years I have a fairly compliant attitude. I too wish for a seasoned bandster group Maybe you could start one? I would be first to join. Like "5year banded". Or something like that?? Just a thought

Thanks WLS pals. There was a lot of info on plastics. I'm scheduled for a TT march 10. Been 8 years and I'm tired of my "extra cat" sitting on my lap(I have 2. That is enough for now ) Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Like compression? Where do you get those. ?And is it like spanx?????? Thank you -
