Today they submitted my things to the insurance company. I am so nerves and excited all at the same time. I started this process back on Jan 7 2012 and I have completed my psych eval and pre op diet/ nutritionist visits for 3 months. Those were the only things I had to do. I have stopped drinking coffee, teas, and sodas. I quit smoking in Dec of 2011 and I really don’t drink too often and when I do it is only one small glass of wine. I have been trying to eat good foods and not eating too many fatty foods or sugary foods. So from today I think it will be about one month till surgery. Wow time will fly I am sure.

I like those cookies too and it has been so hard to stay way. But I give you props for giving them away. You have done a good thing for your self. -
So I have been looking at all kinds of food and was wordering if anyone has used Trive or Shelf Reliance foods as part of thier diets?

So I went to my first consult with the Dr. Sanchez and met with the Nutritionist / Dietitian about the 3 month supervised diet that is required for the insurance. I started with doing what the dietitian told me and watching what I eat, proteins first, 2 servings of both fruit and veggies a day, started taking a daily vitamin and calcium, increasing my water intake from 64oz to 78oz and logging everything that touches my lips. I have not been cutting my food in to smaller pieces I have however been trying to chew my food to a pulp but don’t feel I have been doing a very good job at it. I have been trying to do all of these things and I feel like I am not doing a very good job. I am hungry and have to pee all the time.

Wife Just Got Banded--What Should I Know?
Bremartus replied to The Hubby's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Being there for her is great. Ask her what she might like? I have not had the surgery yet but when I had my gallbladder remover a year ago My husband would carry things for me, he would make sure that our kids let me rest and helped me up and put things I needed with in reach. Goog luck to your wife and you. -
HI Annie we have our appointments on the same day. I cant wait, I am so excited to finaly get to talk to someone about the whole process. I hope to hear more on your journey.

Gaining Weight, Acid Reflux, Night Cough And Band Tight!!!!! Help
Bremartus replied to gigim's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
It could be due to the fact that if you’re not eating much your body may be in starvation mode and so you will gain and not losing any weight. Talk with you Dr about it. -

I have a question about the west side lovelace....Did any of you go the seminar to start your journey? How long ago were you banded? And last question?? Are you happy with the results so far? I am asking all these questions because I am going to seminar on Jan 7 2012. I am excited and scared at the same time. -
New To Lapbandtalk And Thinking About The Lap Band Procedure
Bremartus posted a topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Hello Everyone, I am new to this site and I am thinking about having the lap band procedure done. Right now my BMI is 42.3 and I have trouble breathing when I walk short distances. I have a full time job with most of my time spent is behind a desk. I am also a full time student working towards my BA Degree. I am married and have 5 children at home. I feel that if I don’t take care of myself, how am I able to take care of my family. I would like to know the pro and cons about the procedure, because it is better to know all the information before getting the procedure than finding out after it is done. I do have my first Doctors appointment on Dec. 19. I do know that my insurance will cover it because of my BMI. I am aware that this is a big/huge lifestyle change. I have been trying to make some changes before I see my doctor. I have quit smoking, changed my eating habits and am watching my portions during meals. -
