This Friday I go for my EDG and I am currently on a liquid diet until I am done with this procedure on Friday. Two days of a liquid diet are not bad. However it does make me think that right before the surgery on Dec 16 I will be on a low cal. diet. My problem or fear is this is also when I have finals and work becomes busy with student trying to get their Financial Aid done for the next term. I am worried I will fail at this. I was on a liquid diet for one full month from Sept 20 to Oct 20 of this year and I know I can do this but just thinking about it today has raised concerns for me. I know I can do this but man the thought of it sucks LOL sorry ranting about all of this.

That is a great IDEA. It will help with modivation and such

I have been off the soda for over a year not but sugar is so hard. How did you do it. I find that when I am stressed I want sugar more. Then caffeine I love me some caffeine like coffee not much else and I do go with sugar free sweetners but it is still sweet.

I too have a date of Dec 16. I too find that I am seeking more information. But everyone here has helped a great deal too.

I am going to try for the school break too. I work at a college and surgery is scheduled for Dec 16 right after finals the back to work right after new years. I hope there are no complications because they will put surgery off till Dec 31.

Hello, I am going through my EGD on Nov 22 final part of the process then surgery on Dec 16. I am having a revision to the sleeve. I am very excited and nervous at the same time. I have a loving family that suports me and I have come so far I don't want to go back. Before WLS 258 After the band 210 Hieght 5'4"

Yes that should be ok. It is a cream soup and strained. I had to do that for me band and am looking forward to doing it again for the sleeve. Because the band is stinky. LOL good luck on Monday.

I hope to getting my band out on Dec 16 2013. I cant wait. I have the feeling I will be in more pain but will be happy to be done with it for sure.

I just came off a month of full liquid diet from my band problem and I found that Forza Pro has the best taste of many of the Protein shake stuff and it mixes well too. They come in some great flavors and can be mixed easily with coffee or cream of wheat and things.

I will do that and thank you for your support that is a big help. I have one person who has the sleeve but she never had the band. She has been helpful too.

I will keep you posted on what they tell me when I am done with that part. I talked to the Drs. office today and after that apointment I will have to go to weekly meetings even right after surgery.

I have my EGD scheduled for 11/22/13 at like 7:30 in the morning. I am nervous too I have my approval already for the surgery and everything but just have to go through the test. I am hopeing to have surgery by 12/16/2013 so that I can have Christmas with my family and be some what normal. I do know that I will not be eating food yet but that is ok too. I have a meeting with a support group and the surgon on 11/21/2013 and then I guess I will see where it goes from there. I am excited, scared and anxious all at the same time.

So is the hunger part of the stomach acid part of things. I heard you have to take a PPL after surgery or that's what me Dr says. I have not had my band revised to the sleeve yet, but hope to by mid Dec.

Yes they are that is the insurance I have as well. I find them to be very supportive too.
