Coops what movie did u see? Popcorn and movies a great escape. M2 the NYE wedding sounds like fun. Enjoy and yes pics! UK Cathy u have a road ahead of you take a step at a time. CGJane u sound conflicted. From what little I get from you you'll settle things down in your mind when your able to be as active as your used to. How long ago was your surgery? Your mind and body may still be settling down from that major change. Keep pushing. Georgia 60 in a few days!! Milestone birthday. Hey 60 is the new 40 (LOL) and your as young or old as you feel. I spend NYE in church singing. And reflecting. Its really a fun time. Well everyone Stay safe and looking forward to buckling down -
New Goals for the New Year?! :) Before and after pics.
BrownDoesAll replied to Lisa's Hope's topic in WLS Veteran's Forum
My goal for 2014 is to continue my weight loss journey. My surgery was in 2011 and I only lost 75 pounds had much more to go. I have managed to keep the 75 off but now want to get moving the scale down again. In 2014 will be using the sleeve as my weight loss tool to get at least 50 more pounds off. Plan is to take it slow and steady battling my frustration to give up when the. Scale doesn't move as quickly as I like. Well that's the plan -
OD 5 years? Way to go ! Its great to know the weight loSs can be maintained so far out. Despite my recent set back I am encouraged.

Weight Over 200 Pounds Do U Wanna Check In Daily?

How are u doing with the holidays? I am not. Doing well. Managing to maintain when I really want to be losing. Will focus again when 2014 gets me back on a normal eating schedule. -
HI former_vgb. What I think I hear u say is what worked for u before is no longer working. I am in the same low carb eating boat. No matter how low pounds still not coming off. I have been told our boddies get used to something and that stops working when trying to lose. I have been told when that happens u gotta switch it up. Scary but look into introducing the good carbs while eating balanced. I am trying to start the scale moving downward with 5:2 and haven't found the right balance of. Calories, protien veggies and good carbs that work yet. Looking forward to getting back on the 5:2 wagon after all the holiday feasts are over

2 years post-op-gained 25 lbs! I'm so scared I've blown it!
BrownDoesAll replied to Pagie's topic in WLS Veteran's Forum
Hi Paige. I am a 2 year vet haven't gained any post surgery. I weigh myself daily and pull back when I get close to $y 5 pound bounce range. I can agree that losing is tough now. The sleeve is truly a tool. The real work is eating clean, small portions and exercise. Your not a failure you are human. Stay connected to the site. Take a day at a time. Check out the 5:2 plan it has helped several. Also search for Miss Diva boot camp on this site. the boot camp is a back to sleeve basics and it helps too. Good luck -

Hi ladies. Sarsar I have my 3 take a portrait together every 5 years. They actually look forward to it. Its wonderful to look back on. The last one they were 20,25, and 30. Yep my crew are. 5 years apart. One day I will take a true family pic when I think I photograph thinner. I don't know why they ask for your weight on US drivers licence. They have your pic. I am sure everyone lies. CGJane the lift was my problem too. Is skiing something u think you will stick with for a winter sport? I remember liking the smell. It was freshh and clean. I am a city girl and fresh air and wide open space was something to be enjoyed. Haven't heard from M2 lately. U out there? Family had pizza yesterday. Sleeve only allows one slice. Hubby put away four slices almost half a pie. OMG! Sunday will be the last food related event for me. Its a tradition from hubby side. The last Sunday of the year his grandma would empty the fridge and cook everything. Not sure of the superstition behind that but it was. A tradition in their family. It has turned into a year end brunch blow out. Hubby cooks for it all breakfast and brunch items waffles, eggs, biscuits, gravey, bacon, u get the idea plus donuts, bagels, his friends bring other goodies. This year my contribution if fried apple fritters. Iths called the Feast of Saint Feed Your Fat face! It starts around 10 and last year the last person left at 4. My hubby is a black belt and runs a Karate school. He has zero family here in Cincy but this day all of his Karate buddies come over eat, tell stories, laugh and enjoy. I am glad he does this. He really enjoys it. I am busy helping him host so only nibbling. But it is an all day eating feast with these guys.actually I commented once on how sinful and glutinous this feast was. Hubby was offended. He compared it to Thanksgiving harvest and such. Its the few times in the year his martial arts buddies get together and not in competition. To me its a scene from a Viking movie. Hubby loves it! Once the feast is over I can get back to a normal eating pattern again. Well hang tight ladies we'll be back to normal soon -

Good morning ladies. Interesting this too was my year for reflection. Things are changing at 57 I am starting to see changes in the family dynamic. In past years we would travel around to all my Moms sisters houses exchanging gifts, cards and hugs with family. This year mom is too weak to do all that. She's uses a walker and its really difficult for her to get in and out of the car and up and down steps. So we stayed at my house and sadly none of her sisters or their families stopped by to see her. She says she didn't care but it sorta pissed me off a bit. Oh well my crew was still here we enjoyed each other, ate and played games. One of my favorite gifts chocolate covered potatoe chips. I LOVE sweet and salty. They were delicious. Cathy I really love the baby Jesus tradition. That touched my heart. Globe so glad u were able to connect with family. Let the feeling flow. I agree sometimes it comes to the surface and u gotta go with it. CGJane glad u enjoyed skiing. I have only done it twice in my life back in college but skiing is fun. I seem to remember having the hardest time getting off the lift. Then there is the stopping. The first time down I was going straight instead of a zig zag motion and was going fast all I heard were people yelling at. Me to fall down. I did. And that was my method to stop till I got the hang of it. Then it was fun. Also great pic in the Sweater and slippers. I took a pic of me in front of our tree. When I saw it I decided I was too fat to post it. I took several different angles but same fat butt followed me on all the angles. Hubby loves it and I love me so. Maybe pics later in the year. Enjoy the day ladies! -

AH Christmas Eve. I've bEen busy shopping and wrapping gifts. Since I'm not at work the daily treats have stopped. I feel more in control. Though today I make a cheescake and cherry cobbler. My Christmas diner glazed ham and chicken stuffed with wild rice, veggies, rolls, gravy. The season's feasting will be over soon. Looking forward to getting back to normal. Stay safe everyone. -

M2G I've added u to my mental list of amazing artist. Beautiful colors. I am in awe of people that make something from nothing. Artists and musicians are special. I think we all have God given talents not exactly sure what mine is I love to sing. I am no Aretha Franklin but it brings me joy but I can't draw a circle. SherylJane sorry Fraiser flaked out on you I was routing for u guys. That was kinda weird. Laura could be menopause or too much chocolate or just this season. Lots to do added to our normal preSsures would make anyone a bit nutty! Marched in the office yesterday again thinking fast day greeted with home made goodies of course lots of chocolate and chocolate dippped things like pretzels and strawberrys. Followed by catered Italian lunch. At least the sleeve still helps with portion control. Salad , chicken parm, and garlic bread. I past on the cheesy carby Lasagne. No guilt. Just enjoyed lunch with my co workers.I have one more work day then I am off until after the New Year. ?? Who had the New Years wedding to attend? That sounds like fun. My hubby has a year end party tradition from his side of the family. Its called , and I am not kidding, the Feast of Saint Feed Your Fat Face! I will explain tomorrow. Have a great day ladies. It's all good -

Hi ladies. I tried to fast yesterday got side tracked by blueberry bagel. Cause of the high carbs I haven't had a bagel in forever. Rest of the day was clean still ended with 950. Gotta let go of the 200 cal power crunch bar. Used to eat them for the protien but honestly the calories is like a candy bar. It is comforting to know I am not an uncontrollable freak I see we are all in the same holiMONTH boat. Gonna stop punishing myself and try to maintain for now. Globe and Kim it just amazes me the artistic talent inside some people. Such talent! I hope it brings you as much joy to produce youw work as the joy we take in seeing your work. Jane I am really liking Fraiser good luck with your what are your intention discusssion. I hope u two want the same thing for now. I can't express my thoughts from my blackberry but what happens if he wants more than u want right now. Decent men are hard to find and so far he sounds like a good one. My daughter tried online dating never went on a date all corresponers either looked like MIs matches or sounded like serial killers. So good luck Jane. Hard to post from my blackberry. Have a great day everyone -

What did Brown eat today?
BrownDoesAll replied to BrownDoesAll's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
During the past year when I typically eat the same things during the week would track for a while then would stop cause it was always the same meals and around the same cal-protien-carb count. The weekends are when I usually have to track. I eat at fast food places. Not fries and burgers but fish no bun. Wendy's chili. Nuggets stuff like that.I was able to maintain my weight loss. When I started 5:2 I tracked faithfully. But with the lack of success I don't track faithfully during the week cause it doesn't seem to matter. For now I am holding on by the skin of my teeth. Weighing daily eating smaller portions increasing veggies and trying not to snack. When I get back to 5:2 I will track faithfuuly again. For now I am trying to get past the holiday. I never realized before Thanskgiving was just a Day. But December is the holiDAYS and I am mustering the strenght to skip the treats and not gain. How do u track the bite of cake from hubby plate? The few chips and dip at the party? U get the point. For now I am counting steps and clean days. Those are days when I have been able to get through a day having only eaten my planned snack for the day. When I can count 5 clean days in a row then I will know I am in control and ready to start 5:2 again. Please don't take my comments as defensive and if it sounds like I am tell me. I am asking for help and advise and I sincerely here u especially Kim who reads and posts here with me. Know that I am trying to be honest and explain where my head is at right now. I know diet wise I am not in a good place but desperately trying to get there. -

Hi ladies. I was born and raised in New York. When it was time to purchase a house I could not afford one in NY up'd the fam and moved to Cincinnati Ohio. My mother has 7 brothers and sisters all raised in NY then one sister married a man from Cincy and the family migration began. When I moved here 17 years ago aLl 8 of them where living in Cincy. I myself am an only child but with my cousins, last count there are 30 of us, I was never alone. I still claim NY as my home. On the privacy topic though the group is closed and apparently hidden this is still part of a larger web site on the internet and at any time things could change. Just like those few days when we were lost and couldn't find the group. Anything could happen. Also please don't take offense Susan, but if I am not mistaken, Susan was able to join the group based on her site status. I would assume there are others with that site privelige that has the ability to read everything on the site. I don't want to kill the spirit of our disussions but remember the internet is never totally private. -
