Robin Brown replied to Rebekahrefurbished's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Hi! Don't do what I did...DO NOT EAT A BOILED EGG! I thought it was a good idea...WRONG!!! I had the hiatal repair as well and the egg hurt worse than anything...for about 3 minutes I felt as if a boulder was stuck in my esophagus! I didnt vommit but I sure wanted to...this was on day 10...Today is day 13 for me and I am still working on chewing better and eating slower. But it is a good idea to be intune with your body. ~Robin -
New To Lapbandtalk And Thinking About The Lap Band Procedure
Robin Brown replied to Bremartus's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I am 13 days post op. For me the whole process took 1 1/2 months. I opted to postpone surgery a little while due to family emergency. I wouldnt change a thing!!! But as said before it will not change your mind or mouth, but I found once I was off of carbs I don't crave them near as much anymore. I am new here as well and would love to be LBT friends. Keep in touch! ~Robin -

Theme Park Thrill Rides and the Lap Band
Robin Brown replied to hunkin702's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am in the same boat. I have only been banded 12 days, but EVERY SINGLE TIME I set foot in a car I am sick to my stomach! I dont feel it has anything to do with my age. I am a big fan of amusement park rides...and I go on cruises regularly. I hope this passes...And SOON! I hope yours goes away as well...this feeling is not nice! -
Day 5 on my journey - Your body is your forum
Robin Brown commented on genesishanna's blog entry in genesishanna's Blog
Wow, you had it rough! I had gas pain as well... It was in my shoulder, felt like a heart attack. But I noticed it went away after walking and drinking chidrens Ibuprofen. I also used gas-x because I could not and still cannot belch...Which is a horrible feeling...I had a hiatal (spelling?) hernia repaired as well and the doctor says that "It is not gas in your stomach, and there is no need to belcjh." Which I find to be a load of crap! I know when I need to belch! But I am glad you were not having a heart attack. I wish you the best on your journey!! ~Robin -
Today is day 12 post-op. I am feeling better than ever, except....when in the car, I find this strange because I never used to get car sick, especially while driving. It seems like everytime I am in the car I get nauseated. I thought it was a phase, or maybe the meds...but I have been off of meds for 7 days and still feel sick in the car. Has this happend to any one else? It usually hits as soon as I go over a bridge, but this morning on the way to work I didnt go over a "bridge" it was more like an overpass over the water. I noticed I was not feeling well prior to the "bridge" anyhow...This is strange and I guess maybe brought to the attention of my doctor, but I'm uncertain.

Thanks everyone for the encouragement. As for ginadon- My post op diet was up to day 3 clear liquids, up to day 7 full liquids, up to day 10 soft food (fish, chicken, well cooked veggies, egg, tuna, chicken salad, eggs...etc) and starting day 10 was normal food MINUS the carbs of course. I was like you, not hungry until about day 7 or 8...the doctor told me if I am not hungry, not to eat...simple really! until your brain says otherwise. Best of luck to you!
