rebecca b replied to chigga77's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story

Hang in there and look around for tips found so many here that helped me along recovering sleeved 12-19-11 -

I Want Your Thoughts On A Very Modest Goal Weight.....
rebecca b replied to FishingNurse's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Did you have a body analysis. I had one during the pre-op period. I was shocked and dismayed to find my lean weight based on musce mass was 155, I am 5'4. I rather have the higher BMI and more muscle mass to help bur the calories! -

Curious, Did This Happen To You?... No 3 Week Stall, But A Gain!
rebecca b replied to happy1957's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Having the tail end of the 3rd week stall. I also threw out the HCTZ after surgery and thought also that I might be retaining. In my case I think I was just not getting enough Protein so I am working hard on that. I found that a stool softner help keep things going along smoother. Hopefully when I weigh in Saturday I will have lost something. It is frustrating. Hope things pick up for you! -

Should I Call And Ask My Insurance Again?
rebecca b replied to Kiki Von Moonshine's topic in Insurance & Financing
the coordinator for the surgeon you pick should be able to tell you the requirements of the insurance company, also my coordinator said that after the inital call i should let them handle everything so there was little chance of a first denial. Good Luck! -

1/3/12 First Weekly Roll Call For December Sleevers - Check In!
rebecca b replied to LoserMama's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Sleeved 12/19 Hardest thing is the head hunger, and wanting but not being able to eat things like pizza and cheeseurgers.(i know this is for the best) Have trouble getting Protein in but getting easier every week. I also have weird dreams that I can't get under 300 pounds and I am somewhat worried that I won't lose enough weight. It seems like alot of people have this fear. the best thing is the clothes getting smaller, and not being short of breath doing easy things. I am glad at the encouragent my friends, coworkers, and family are giving me, and of course the sleevers here. My hubby and I went on a hike in the woods today, and it's been so long since I could do that. The recovery feels complete to me, I am blessed with a great pain tolerance. Learning every day how to listen to my sleeve, and thankfully I am able to drink fluids with little difficulty. I have some hardness under my lap sites, but I am told this s normal, Congrats to all you losers! YOU are doing your sleeve proud!!!!!! -
WTG!!! you are awesome! :purplebananna: [/code]

How Long To Start Losing Weight After Surgery?
rebecca b replied to enixon2010's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
the elevation in weight is from all the IV fluids they pumped into you It can take awhile for your body to reabsorb that, then you will see the weight melt off surgery date 12/19/11 HW 362 SW 344 CW 326
