cheese sticks, greek yogurt, deli meat rolls with cheese....there are lots of ways to get extra calories....think creatively and think healthy....

I'm almost 9 months out and I can eat about a cup of salad at a time....just wait until you are 3 to 4 months out to try it...so you will be pretty much healed when you eat it...

My doc said to wait 18-24 months before evening thinking about a baby.... but like you said..have to find a decent man first... I did have a friend who had her 3rd baby after she lost 150 pounds from RNY....she gained weight from the baby, but as soon as she had her girl she began to walk again and lost most of her baby weight, she's still battling with 15 pounds, but like I tell her, who doesnt have 10 or 15 pounds they would want to lose...

Is this a trick question? I take bites of my food...sometimes big sometimes small, but I eat my food... As long as you chew your food it doesnt matter how big the bite is, you will be fine....

I honestly dont think the weightloss is as rapid with VSG then with RNY...my friend/co-worker was at goal in 9 months when she had RNY 6 years ago and she lost 160 pounds....I'll be 9 months in March and 2 pounds away from 100 and I have 70 more pounds to lose...

now this is a funny posting....people eat food to live....and as long as we still have over indulgence, and people glorifying food, or and have healthy food cost more than junk food...McDonalds will remain the powerhouse place it is.... funny

I got banded in 2005 also...very very little weightloss...I eventually gained the 40 pounds I lost back, plus 20 more....I also developed a pouch over the top of my band...my doc was hoping that it would go down after he unfilled my band, but it shrunked just abit....what he did was started my VSG under where I developed the pouch...which means that my weightloss is a bit slower and I can eat a bit more than the typical patient...I'm just happy to be 98 pounds lost and still losing praise God! I revisied to VSG on 6/11/12 and I'm loving every bit of it....

A lady in my support group went through this...after our doc stretched her alittle more, she was fine, no worries

I started therapy before I had my surgery, on my surgeon's recommendation...I am a revision person, meaning that I've had WLS before and VSG was my second surgery, and he recommended that I go through therapy for extra support....and it has helped....I use my therapy time to really self-examine how I managed to lose and regain 120 pounds in the past....and I'm still a work in progress

Well most people come on here to be validate...esspecially when a person is suffering from complications....so I dont know about your comment about that... and like I said before about rudeness, its relative...but like you said, its your opinion...not everyone have your personality or "decorum" that's society, if you dont like it, become a hermit....
