you could sell them, or try to see how it would taste to mix them up in certain things....like a vanila RTD protien shake, may taste good and you can double up on Protein... just a thought

I'm starting therapy this week, to begin mentally preparing myself for this change....I've been overweight for over 25 years...I see that I am still having issues even in pre-op....I'm having a hard time watching what I eat, because I have this thought playing in the back of my head that I will never get to try this and that again.... Needless to say, I am looking forward to the session....

You can't just get in a taxi and go home after the procedure.....unless there is someone there to ride with you....they are going ask if there is someone who can help you make decisions.....that's because you will feel groggy and loopy afterwards...

I told my boss, but I told her to swear not to tell...first she laughed, then she looked at me and I had a straight face she knew I was serious...and she told me to calm down she swear she will not tell... my colleagues know I have changed my eatting habits, and asked, I told them I'm doing Medifast again, and they were like oh ok....some of them have changed their eating, but they think I'm on Medifast.... Only my close friend/colleague knows the truth and that's because she had RNY and noticed me taking time off every month....she put it together and confronted me and I confessed and swore her to not tell...lol...

Im looking forward to eating apples again...my band doesnt like apples or anything that has skin on the outside, that's including apples and cinnamon oatmeal and yogurt containing apples....

The shot thing is fairly new....when I had knee surgery back in 2010, I was presribed those same shots every 12 hours for 6 days, that crap was expensive thanks to my insurance.... Its a preventive thing doctors are doing when he or she has to remove tissue or anything from you....it prevents you from forming clots in that area and it traveling...which is VERY dangerous...when he told me that, I didnt complain anymore, my aunt reminded me every 12 hours to take the injection or she would find a place on my body and give it to me...lol So I complied...

We are sleeve twins!! I'm June 11th too....its about time someone else has my date!!! yippie!!!

Wow...that was eye-openning....that was the first video I've seen that showed the surgeon pulling out the stomach.....my eyes were glued.....I would image the pouch would stretch over time....just because the regular stomach can stretch as well over time.....but because so much has been cut, and what is left is the firm part, it probably cant get as big as a regular stomach (this is just me guessing, I'm pre-op)

I've tried medifast cocoa too...they are very good, but the ones through bariatric pantry.com have less carbs and sugar...equally as good...

I cant do the things that I really want to do....cant go the places I want to go....even though I've been overweight the majority of my life I have always been an active person....in the last 4 years I've been diagnosed with osteoarthritis in both knees, and my weight has increased over the last 7 years I need surgery for a permanent fix, but my insurance has a total exclusion for WLS.... so I've been saving and took out a loan for half and now I'm having VSG to gain my life back!

I like them....I'm starting to drink them instead of coffee in the morning....I'm having a cappuchino(sp) as we speak....

I wanted to ask about gas after the procedure....how long did it stay with you and what were some things you did to eliminate it quickly????

I totally agree with you and OEA...I'm currently in therapy, it was suggested from my psy eval because I've been overweight for most of my life....WLS patients do have issues with food, and if they are not resolved, it will sabotage your hard work!

I can't wait to.... 1) Be able to goto more stores in San Marcos, texas other than lane bryant and assoccery stores 2) have a baby....(my family always corrects me and say the MAN first, THEN the baby....)I'm 33 turning 34, I dont really care at this point... 3) Travel More...can't wait to travel overseas....Italy, Greece (Greek men are HOTT), and some parts of Britian 4) Dance Dance Dance....do a belly dancing class, also a texas 2-step dance...a friends already made me promise to do line dancing with her... 5) Do Pilates and Yoga....I have some joint issues that will go away with the WLS....so I am looking forward to joining a class!!
