    Nsv At The Gym!

So this is kind of a scale-non-scale-victory! Lol!!!
  3. thanks! love the birds! i have 2 green cheek conures!
  4. Weeks 2 and 3 are almost going to be like a job for me...I have to eat my mushies from 9-9:20, then wait a half hr, then sip a few oz of Protein for a certain amount of time, then wait then eat the wait then drink....all day every day for two weeks every hour I am awake!!! Just wondering if anyone else had to do this too, for some reason I can't get it straight in my head, I feel like I am going to have to keep looking at the chart! Some things you just learn and retain by doing, I suppose!
  5. Met with my surgeon today to tie up last minute loose ends. Filled and picked up my prescriptions for liquid vicodin, antacids, and chewable calcium. Picked some gas x, fiber chewables, liquid multi vitamins, and a pill crusher at Walgreens. My protein powders and new blender bottles came in yesterday, I believe I am prepared! One thing bothers me, can't get my engagement ring off!! :-/

  6. fecal impactions are a HUGE problem with my horses in the winter...horses can be picky about water temp and if it is too cold, they don't drink enough. couple that with eating pure roughage and you have an impaction. make sure you drink a lot of water!
  7. I really wouldn't worry too much about how you sleep. Remember, this is to get an accurate representation of your breathing while you sleep...so sleeping as you normally do will the be most indicative of a potential problem! I know sleeping on your back is definitely more prone to having apneas, but I never sleep on my back, so why start now?

Surgery 2/17 But I'm Scared Now

we will be hot mamas in no time ))))
  9. Got a call from the fraud dept with my credit card company today...they made me hold, then an account representative came on the line to ask me if a recent "uncharacteristic" purchase in the amount of $119 paid to bodybuilding.com was a legit purchase. I literally laughed my butt off. I said, geez! Can't a girl have a new years resolution?! I confirmed the charge, which was my post op Protein powders, and one item I ordered for my mom, and the account rep wished me well...just thought I would share with you guys, hopefully you find it as funny as I did!!
  10. Just so we are all clear, this is not a long term diet....weeks 2 and 3 ONLY.
  11. This schedule came directly from the nutritionist/dietician that is affiliated with my surgeon so I am assuming the diet is sound advice, as there are many success stories to come from my drs office. I have seen many different plans as far as preop diets, clear liquids after surgery, full liquids after surgery, etc. I am thinking that maybe this schedule is to get my metabolism going again, hopeully it works!

Surgery 2/17 But I'm Scared Now

Flaquita we both know we didn't go through all the preop hoops including the dreaded SLEEP STUDY to quit now! Im scared too! TERRIFIED in fact. My surgery is before yours, Jan 30. If I can go through with this (never had surgery before, big baby, did I mention I was scared?) YOU CAN DO IT!

Exercise, And I Think My Mom Is Finally On Board!

Its so great that you now have the support you longed for! We can all support you here, but there is nothing like the support (or lack of) from a family member. I know its hard with the cake, but remember the band allows you to have everything in moderation, try having a portion much smaller than a portion you would usually have. But if you think that will set you on a rampage (I cant have stuff like that around without it callllllling me!) then maybe you better stay away!

    Am I Crazy?

Hi Amy, I had a preop class yesterday with my nutritionist, and she said if the patient is losing weight and doesnt fall within the zone of being too hungry during meals, they usually dont give you a fill if you dont feel like you need it. did your surgeon give you a chart with the yellow red and green zones, and the description of each? or do they have one in the office where you get fills?
  19. Looking into a fashionable medical bracelet! In the event of an accident, whether plane train automobile or HORSE, I want my caretakers to know I'm banded!

i have also tried the unjury, and it is quite tasty! they sell a sample pack which comes with samples of chocolate, vanilla, chicken, and unflavored...all very good, but expensive. one jar is $23.00 and has 17 servings. I just purchased isopure zero carb powder in chocolate and vanilla...50 grams of protein per serving and it tastes great!
