About Me

  • Gender
    Female
.I've been overweight just about all my life and have lost weight on all types of diets but always gained it back plus extra. I thought I was too old to even try anymore after menapause but my nurse in the doctor;s off ice was getting ready for lap band and i was really interested, went to a seminar that week and scheduled the beginning process right afterward. That was March 2011 and  I started my 6 months weigh ins and the dietician visits. I did terrible the first 4 months ,losing 3 lbs one month and gaining it back the next! Both my doctor and dietician did not think I was serious and let me know they were concerned about my lack of effort. Them being firm with me was just what I needed (support) and it was a turning point for me. I then lost a total of 37 lbs prior to my surgury date and I'm pleased how simple the procdure was. I went in @ 6:00AM and was home by 8PM the same day! I feel great, recording my intakes of protein and fluids and now looking for suggestions on keeping it exciting by new food ideas and support groups,
