26 pounds slow and steady.

Well I went to the doctor today and I was surprised to find out I had lost 8 lbs. My scale must be off. The Dr. recommended getting a digital scale apparently they are more accurate. Dr. said he thought I was doing good. Got a small fill. I do feel alot better..

I know the feeling. I have not opened up to alot of people about my band. I do not know why, just my husband, children and a few close friends know. I guess I may be insecure about it or afraid I will be one of the ones that fails at it. I am not exactly sure.

I had my surgery on Thursday and went back to work on Monday. I work in an office, so no hard labor. I was fine.

Thank you. I think that is alot of it, he really has not bedside manner. I am hoping all goes well.

I go to the Dr. on Thursday, I hope he is not lecturing or negative because I am behind on my weight loss. I am trying. I have restriction. I feel bad enough I do not need him to make me feel worse.

I get the hiccups and I burp alot (not at the same time). I also will get a feeling that I have to burp but it is stuck. I know weird.

I am frustrated. I have only lost 23 pounds since begining this journey. I eat the foods I am supposed to eat. I have restriction, not alot of hunger but the weight is not coming off. I was banded in August. I am so frustrated right now. I go to the doctor next week and I do not want him to tell me I am not doing what I should be doing. I am drinking the protien shakes and making good choices. The only thing I have not done is exercise regularily. I am starting to get depressed and have feelings of regret.

Dear banders, I am very frustrated. I have only lost 23 pounds since I started on this journey. I am drinking my protien shakes in the morning, eating healthy snacks and do very little snacking at nite if any.The only thing I have not been doing regularly is exercising. I do not eat alot and have restriction. I do not know why the weight is not coming off. It is depressing. I have a doctors appointment next week and I am afraid he is going to be upset with me for not losing more. I eat healthy, I just do not understand. I am feeling like maybe I should have had the gastric bypass instead. I am praying I am not one of the ones the band does not work for. I am feeling very frustrated and sad. I just needed to vent.

I too am having the same issues. I went to the Dr. about six weeks ago for a fill, since then I have felt constient restriction. If I do not check my food completely it gets stuck, and comes back. If I eat slow I have no problem s, but I do feel alot of restriction. I thought it would eventually loosen up but so far it has not. I guess I will see what the Dr. says next week. I also burp alot...

Hi my name is Darlene and I am new to this forum. My stomach rumbles and make strange noises, it is almost like it is hungry, but I am full. I mentioned this to my doctor and he said it was because I was eating healthier now. I was wondering if anyone else has this problem. I also get the hiccups and burp alot. Thanks for your replies.

I buy double chocolate protein bars for that time of the month.. Has worked so far..

I have had three fills, I feel restriction for about 3-weeks after a fill then back to normal. I do not eat pasta, bread, etc. My downfall is exercise. I am eating right but the scale is not moving. I think I am losing inches though..

I am having the same issue. My cloths feel loose and I feel like I am losing inches, but the number on the scale does not move.. I am very discouraged. I go back to the Dr. on Thursday.

I also have pain where my port is located. It feels like a pulled muscle. My last fill was almost 4 weeks ago and it hurts like yesterday.

I think the hiccups and burping are a sign I am getting full, but at times they are very painful. But if you suck on a lemon slice they will go away...

My name is Darlene and I live in Michigan. I was banded in August of this year. I ride my own motorcycle. I took the class in June. I have a 2004 Yamaha V-Star Custom 1100. I love riding. I would love to go to Sturgis someday. I would also like to see this site get more active.

Hello my name is Darlene and I was banded on August 24. So far so good, I have not lost alot of weight but I do feel good. Did not have any complications with my surgery. Good luck everyone.
