Please do your research

I had the Spider technique surgery done in Austin, Texas and at the time I didn't want more scars but the MAIN reason I chose it was for less pain and side affects. I literally had NO pain! I woke up from surgery and if I hadn't seen the bandages on my tummy I would have never known I had surgery. I went home the next morning. I never was even sore at the incision which was on the inside upper half of my belly button. I sort of knew that I was going to have to have a TT so it wasn't so much the scars as it was the fear of pain that made my final decision. -
Dr Garcia SPIDER TECHNIQUE

I had the Spider surgery done by Dr. Ganta in Austin, TX. I can tell you that there was NO PAIN AT ALL! I woke up from surgery and couldn't believe that it was done! I got up and walked immediately after waking up, went home the very next day with no pain meds. I wasn't ever even sore at the VERY SMALL incision right along the inside of the top of my belly button. NO PAIN EVER! I would recommend it to everyone if it is physically possible for you to choose this surgery! -
Inner thigh lift and tummy tuck

I agree with you 100% AChristian! My TT was VERY invasive and I can't imagine having it done in Mexico either and having to travel back home but alot of people do it and seem to manage just fine. Maybe I have a lower tolerance to pain because I couldn't have done it! -
Good luck! We are all with you....you are not alone! Godspeed!

TUMMY TUCK TOMORROW MORNING
frumpynomore replied to frumpynomore's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Hello 1hotmama*77! My surgeon is Dr. Thompson out of Round Rock, Texas. I love my TT! I think he did a great job and I intend to go back to him for all the other cosmetic surgeries I need. -
Just wanted to reach out and tell someone that can relate to my feelings right now that my Tummy Tuck is scheduled for tomorrow morning, Jan. 3, 2013, at 7am! I'm soooooo excited but getting nervous and anxious. I was doing o.k. until the anesthisiologist called me a minute ago. I am not at goal weight which was originally set at my personal want of 140lbs. I really don't think I can maintain 140 as the last time I was that weight was 10 years ago and prior to my open heart surgery, full hysterectomy, hypothyroidism and Hoshimoto's . I could probably get there if I tried extremely hard but I know that realistically I won't be able to maintain that weight and if I could it would be a constant struggle. I'm at 157 and my plastic surgeon believes that 150 is a more realistic and maintainable weight for me since for the past 4 months I have maintained from 153 to 157 (I'm 5'71/2"). Therefore, since I'm within 10 lbs of my goal weight my surgeon says it will be perfectly fine for the TT operation. My VSG was one year ago on Dec. 13th. I've already ordered the silicone sheets for after the scabs have fallen off to help the scar look better. If anyone is curious or wants more info. on them go to silon.com. I bought the abdominoplasty shaped sheet that is made for TT's or C-section areas. I watched a Youtube video where a woman had a TT and used the silicon sheets and her scar came out beautifully! Wish me luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For the first couple of weeks all that I could stand the taste of was homemade turkey broth! I literally lived on that alone! -

NUMBER 1 RULE: Always trust your gut instincts! I'm glad to hear that you did! It's just so unfortunate for you that your first surgeon was incompetant! Good luck on your second Journey! -

115 lbs gone! Before & after photos

You look FABULOUS! You look like the little sister to your before pictures! It took years off of your looks! YOU GO GIRL!!! -
If it's any consolation, I started using Nioxin's full line of products as soon as I had my VSG and my hair still fell out dramatically and I never had any complications. I really don't believe that there is anything anyone can do about your hair falling out. I did everything recommended and to no avail. A lot of us hid behind our hair due to the extra weight and I for one would rather be a thin person than have a mane like a lion!

OMG!!! You are absolutely unquestionably S - E - X - Y!!!!!!!!!! Good for you and CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! -
I opted to not get my hair cut shorter until after the "losing of hair" phase was over. Mine started falling out at 6 1/2 months and stopped at 10 months. I have extremely thin hair now but am still not willing to cut it off shorter. I'm managing with it by styling it a little different and I did buy a cute short wig but I don't wear it much because it hurts my head after hours of wearing it. I'm still losing hair a little more than normal so that short haircut may still be around the corner for me...Good luck with yours!

TUMMY TUCK TOMORROW MORNING
frumpynomore replied to frumpynomore's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Yes, I believe you are right Ms Skinniness! I should be very thankful that I lost 3lbs! Just wish I hadn't gained 5 more! It's o.k. though because I'm back on track with my eating and will soon be back where I was. I thought the cost for my TT was very reasonable too. I can't wait to get the quote and to set a date to have the rest of the cosmetic surgeries that I want done! -

I had my TT done in Roundrock, TX which is just outside of Austin. Dr. Troy Thompson was my surgeon and I absolutely love him! He will be doing all my other cosmetic surgeries as well. The TT cost was right at $6k but the cost is determined by each individual's needs. I had 4 consults for my TT and Dr. Thompson was right in the same realm of costs as the others quoted. I am very happy with my results! -

Hi Ms Skinniness! WoW! Thanks for the compliment! A year and a half ago I would never have dreamed that someone would be calling me SEXY and HOT!!! OMG! Thank you!!!!!!! I only lost 3 lbs total. I actually started putting on weight near the end of the 3 weeks recovery from my TT. I am still battling getting the weight off that I put on but with some new supplements, Glutamine-Butterthebean recommended, and watching the carbs at night I'm finally seeing the numbers drop again. It's all about keeping it in check! -

Coops, the swelling stayed for about 4 weeks. You are going to LOVE the final results! Occasionally, I look at my before TT pics and then I REALLY appreciate the results! It's funny how soon and easy it is to forget where we came from (i.e.: overweight, loose skin). I'm going to make it a monthly action to view my before VSG and TT pics to remind me to appreciate where I've been and what it took to get from there to here and what I look like now versus then. I believe it's human nature to take important things for granted and I don't want to ever lose sight of where I've been. I don't want to "forget" the tears, struggle, embarrassment, loneliness, and pain so that I will always and forever appreciate what I have. The road has been a long one and my journey is still not complete BUT it will be soon! -

Hello Coops! I'm so happy for you! I'm doing great and thanks for asking! I think my recovery has taken longer than the average. I can finally stand completely straight without feeling any muscle tugging on the inside. I love putting on jeans, pants AND swimming suit bottoms and seeing a straight tummy with no bulges!!! How are you doing now that it's been a couple of weeks since you had your TT? Isn't it fabulous not to have that belly roll?!!!!!!! I will be scheduling a consult for a BL with new implants and AL. Will be having those surgeries done as soon as possible to try to beat the worst heat of the summer here in Texas. Then in Dec. I'll be scheduling to have a TL in January. Hope this finds you doing well with little pain! -

Thank you Gmanbat! I'll pick some up tonight...it certainly sounds like its worth a chance. My head has been so upset over the weight gain that I didn't stop to evaluate my supplements. Great advice to everyone...
