I agree; when I do more ab type exercises, I do get pain on that side. My Dr. Said it was do to the port pinching or rubbing against the muscles on that side. However, if it continues for you, I would have your Dr. Check it at your next visit.

I was banded back in October, 2012. I just got my first fill a little over a week ago. The experience was not at all unpleasant. I started to notice that I could eat more so I asked for my fill. It really does help. I've lost 60 pounds so far and it's been a great experience.

October Bandsters!!!
Bonnie123 replied to "AmyRose"'s topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hello all. I'm an October bandster as well and I'm very excited to have found this forum. I was banded October 18th; and so far am down 50 pounds. This does include 20 pounds of pre-op weight loss that they had me do; so technically, I'm down 30 since the surgery. It's great to hear how everyone is doing. Right around Thanksgiving they let me start back on all healthy foods with no restrictions and it's been going very well so far. I haven't had a fill yet; but my Doctor did say that they did put some fill in during surgery; and that for now it may be enough. Hope to hear more of how everyone is doing; and so glad I have a place to let others know how I'm doing. Thank you so much for creating this forum!!!! Talk to you all soon. -
I was banded October 18th. I'm currently on mushies and can't wait to eat a little more solid and a little more variety of food. I did find some good mushie rescipes in the nutrition forum to help me change it up a bit. So far I have lost a little over 37 pounds - that's with the month of South Beach they had me on before the surgery (18 lost there) and the rest has been lost after surgery. Hope everyone is doing well. Would love to hear how people's journeys are going.

Hello, I had my surgery a little over 3 weeks ago. The surgery went very well and I've been doing well so far. I was having a problem with anxiety for a bit. It's all so new and there is so much to think about. My primary doctor has put me on a very low dose anxiety med (I did suffer from mild anxiety years ago); and I feel so much better. I'm currently on soft solids and am starting to run out of food choice ideas. I'll take any suggestions. I do get to add in fibrous veggies in a few weeks; so I know that will help. I have a friend that had the band done, a friend that had the sleeve done; and a friend that had the full bypass done; but I'm hoping to find some people to talk with that are currently going through the same thing. My friend that had the bad done is almost three years out and doesn't remember a lot of the stuff from just after she had the surgery. I hope I can help others with any questions they may have too. I guess that's about it for now. Hope to talk with people soon!!!

Just want to introduce myself.

Dawn200321, I just checked out the nutrition forum; and they have some great recipes in there. I could spend days looking around. I found three that I'm going to try over the weekend. I think it's going to help with getting bored with the mushies. Check it out. Hope it helps. I had to get out because I was ignoring my family. LOL. -

I was banded October 18, 2011 - they had me on South Beach prior to the banding - I lost 18 pounds on that; and have lost another 20 since the banding. I'm very excited. And congratulations to everyone else - keep up the good work.
