Tracy, I'm with you. I feel sometimes that after over a year of losing and eating small amounts and behaving that I'm done with dieting. But in reality I know it's not over with by a long shot. I just feel done with it. So, I pledge with you to start anew. It's a fresh start for us and with a renewed spirit we can do this. Here's something, everytime we start to falter we just tap our forehead and repeat to ourselves, Think, Think, Think. That will remind us to think about where we came from and where we are going to end up. I'm in this with you, does anyone else wanna join us????? It's supposed to get up to 80 degrees today. Unfortunatly Ive to work for several hours. Buts that's ok. I'll enjoy it when I get off work. They are calling for rain the next 3 days so I don't think the pool people will be out this week. Maybe the pool will be in in time for my B-day. Hope, Hope. Everyone have a great day. Hugs to you all. Drink, Drink, Drink.

Major Beautiful Weekend here. Spent most of my weekend outside. Got my tomato plants planted yesterday. Keeping my fingers crossed. It's been years since I've tried them. We were supposed to have put the new fence up this weekend but the materials were never delivered. I called to pool people and they said that ce there has been so much rain here the last couple of weeks , they're not sure if they will be out this week to put the pool in. Said they would have to come out and check the ground. We just won't be able to fill it up till the fence is put up. Patience......... Denise, Those are some of the most beautiful pictures. I have never seen anything like them. Can't wait to see the baby. Doctor's office called Friday morning and told hubby since he was over 50 that he needed to come in for some test. Looks like a colonoscpy, blood work and a prostate screening. Ten minutes later they called back and said that since I'm turning 50 next month that I need to come in for some test. It's hell getting old. lol, lol. Hope everyone had a great weekend. Hope the week is a good one for all.

Wild ride here in Blue Springs tonight. We had just finished dinner when the Tornado Sirens went off. Got up from the table and headed down to basement. Went right out the garage door and yelled at the neighbors across the street to see if they could see anything. We just hung around and finally the sirens went off. About 10 minutes later they went off again. This time I stayed in the kitchen and did the dishes while the guys went on the deck. It really started to hail real good. We went out to the front porch and just watched it pour down. Sirens finally went off again. This will probably an off and on all night thing. Doggie is all worn out. Jenn, I'm so proud of you and now you will be able to handle it. Just getting thruthe first couple of weeks will be rough. Hang in there. Night all.

Happy May Day. Got up and went to our monthly family breakfast and a cousin serenaded us with a May Day song and she had a May Day basket for her Mom. It was so nice. We had a great time. From there we went to Ace Hardware and I bought my tomato plants. Gonna give it a try this year. Bought a few flowers to get potted. Hubby drove there and I told him I would drive home. Funny thing. I got in and took off and didn't realize that I hadn't moved the chair back. Hubby and I are both the same height but with my extra padding around the middle and back, I always have to move the seat back. Well, no more. It was so cool to realize that. I guess that's my latest NSV. Hope you all have a great day.

This is "Volunteer Appreciation Week" at the hospital. So tonight when we went in there was a banquet for all the volunteers. It was very nice and the food was great. We had a good time. The department that hubby and I work in gave us a gift certificate to BlockBuster. That was so unexpected. We had a good night and just missed out on a brand new baby being born. Night everyone, sleep tight.

Jess and Holly, Congrats on getting so close to your surgery date. I don't have any advice for your pre-op diet. I didn't have to do that. But a shake that I found is made by "Kashi". I found it at a health food store in Independence. There should be a store like it near you. I tried the chocolate one and it was pretty good. I haven't tried the vanilla one yet. One thing I did like about it is that it has alot of fiber in it. That helps to keep you feeling fuller longer. As far as the slim-fast go, I found that I can not drink it from the can. I have to pour it into a glass. There's just something about the tinny taste. I also but the 20 ounce water bottles from Wal-Mart. I than buy the best value brand drink mixes. Orange sunrise is my favorite. I have one of those in the morning and than I have a pink lemonade in the afternoon. Hope this helps out. Also the 20 ounce bottles help me keep track of how much water I am getting a day. Shoot for 100 ounces. I know that sounds alot but you'll get used to it. Cindy, I was so looking forward to inviting you to lunch when you were coming up to see Malley. If you change your mind about it, let me know. I would love to meet up with you. I am still planning on being your way this July and was going to give you a heads up about it. Maybe someday we'll meet. Everyone have a great day.

Years ago when I was a young one, my brother had broken his arm and it was in a cast. I told my mom that there was something wrong with my arm, that it hurt real bad. So she made a sling for it and sent me on my way. About 2 days later she noticed that my arm was swollen and had a bluish color to it. She took me to the doc's and sure enough, it was broken. You never ever know. I'm not able to go with you guys on your trip but if you want I could send some pics of my bat wings, my 2 extra boobs, my saggy knees and a hoochie that needs a little lipo.Have you ever seen saggy elbows? I'll show you mine. I for one will never be happy with my body. Don't know if anyone ever will be, but I can tell you this. I'm happier with my body than I was a year ago. Even 2 years ago. I'd rather have this saggy skin hanging and be 150 pounds lighter than to weigh what I did. I've come a long way and no turning back for me just because of the way something hangs. I can save for surgery for it but in the mean time I'll just keep rolling it up and sticking it in my pants and in my bra. I still cringe when someone tries to hug me. I think to myself, hope they are getting a hand full of something back there. You need to hold your heads high and don't let your feelings get in the way of a great time. Enjoy each others company and look at their souls and not their skin. You'll have more fun that way. Off to take a little siesta before going into work at the hospital. Everyone have a great evening.

You guys are going to be so proud of me today. After taking my sis to the doc and to get her meds, I came home and hubby was sitting at the computer again. I looked at the TV and Aliens was playing again for the umpteenth time. I made the comment about all the reruns and than made a suggestion that we go to the movies. So I went and checked out what was playing. We ended up going to go see "Leatherheads". We kinda enjoyed it. So we left there and decided to go to "SidePockets". We played about 4 tables of pool and he had a few beers and I had an Iced Tea. We ordered a sampler plate and shared it. It was so nice for just the two of us to get away. My phone didn't ring once. Came home and sat out on th deck for awhile and enjoyed the sunshine. Just beautiful again here. Anyway, I knew you guys would be mad if I didn't spend a day doing what I wanted. I figured you guys would approve. Hope I made you as happy as I made myself. Kat, Sending purple power for Manda. Hope everyone had a great day.

Good Morning, Sun is shining and it's supposed to get up to 68 degrees today. Looks like a good doggie walking day here. Haydee, The outfit is beautiful and will look lovely on you. I also agree that I would be flat on my face if I wore shoes like that. Judy, Thanks for posting the pic. I never would have guessed that it was you in there. What a tremendous change. It must make you feel all warm inside that you have made such strides. Thanks for being an inspiration to us all. Up this morning to take my younger sis to a doc appointment. Than off to the pharmacy. Shhhhhhhh, I think I have the rest of the day free for me. I don't want to jinx it. Things are kind of winding down around here. Not so stressful. Not sure what I'm going to do with myself. Guess I'll just have to take it easy, maybe get a pedicure. Everyone have a great day.

Good Morning. Jenn, congrats on the NSV. How cool was that to get compliments from the store workers. I was at the store yesterday getting something from the deli when a lady from church walked up. I said hi to her and we chatted for a minute when she looked at me and made the comment that it looked like I had lost a lot of weight. I told her yes I had, 150 pounds. It's times like that that I'm so proud of myself. I'm also embarrassed at it too. Ashamed that I let myself get like that. But at least I'm doing something about it. Sun is shinning but it's only supposed to get to 56 degrees today. So glad I haven't put my new flowers out yet. They are calling for a light freeze tonight. Terri, Hang in there this week. The weekend will be here before you know it. Everyone have a great day. Hugs.

I love going to the park. I remember my Dad no matter what his day always made time for us and took us to the park or played with us. I'm just passing that on. Besides it gives me time to take my mind off of my troubles. I find solice in watching the kids. Maybe someday I'll fit on that slide.

Hmmmm, I never have problems with kettle chips, BUT, that is a problem right there. Just need to stay away from them all together. It turned out to be a gorgeous day here. Spring day and it's beautiful. Went and took lunch to my sis in the hospital and watched tv till she fell asleep. Came home and took the neighborhood kids to the park and walked doggie. We had such a good time. I decided to take them to Sheridan's for some frozen yogurt. Yummmy. Hope you all have had a good day.

Good Morning, I won't go into all the details of what I have been thru in the last few days. I'll spare you the details. Just take my word for it that it's been a ride. One good thing is I still have my im hair intact. Friday my neighbor and I went over to church for their annual flowersale and I got my plants. They are still sitting in the garage. Waiting for the chillo get out of here before I bring them out. Is the warm weather ever going to get here and stay? Should be getting our fencing material this week. We have the kids from the youth group at church coming this Saturday to help dig post holes. Am I the only one not going on the trip? Hate to think I won't have anyone to chat with while you guys are having so much fun. You guys are so lucky. I wish you the best time. Everyone have a great day.

Michelle, I have just a little luck left so I'm sending it your way. Hope it helps out.

Morning folks, Note to Suzie. No route 44 ice tea with lemon from Sonic in the late afternoon. It causes 3 trips to the bathroom during the night. :rolleyes2: Was ready to get off work at 7:30pm last night when I got a call from younger sis that older sis was acting funny and not feeling good. Decided to swing by her place and check and ended up taking her to ER. Was there till midnight when they wheeled her to a room. She was so dehydrated it took almost 45 minutes to put an IV in her. They were hitting veins but not getting any blood from them. They actually had to go to fer feet to dry labs. Yikes. She just about broke my hand. Anyway since she was running a fever and that is not usual for her gastrioporesis(SP?) they were thinking that she might have a flu. Other than work today -which seems to be my only saving grace- I really don't have much on my plate for today but that's only because both sisters are still sleeping. I'm sure once they are up I be busy. One good thing about it is that I have been living off of lifesavers for days. Should have another good weight loss this week. Everyone have a great day.

Just discovered that I have a good connection here at work. Don't know who I'm connected too but enough to get me on here. Kat, sending you my thoughts and prayers that all goes well. Is there another site that we can pick to go to for when this site is down. We could use a place like Newhopetalk.com or if you guys know of another that we could use for emergencies. It's very frustrating when we can't get on here. I'll check in again soon.

Up and getting ready for my morning shift. Sorry I've been gone from here. The last few day have been hectic. I don't have time right now to go it to it but there have been 2 trips to the emergency room and several doctor's appointments. Everyone is good just tired and stressed out. I'll right about it later. Do have some good news. Went to Malley's for my appointment and lost another 7 pounds. Sad news was that I didn't get a fill. That's 2 times now I haven't gotten one. Good news is I'm just one pound short of losing 150 pounds. Yikes. I'm sorry I haven't had a chance to read the post for the past few days. I'll do that before me shift at the hospital today. I hope all of you are doing well. I have missed you guys and several times I had wished I had my lap-top with me so I could just get an encouraging word to get me thru. You guys are the best. OK, Group Hug. :tt2: I'll be back later. God Bless you guys.

We had one of the most beautiful days here today. Took doggie for a walk up on the parkway and enjoyed it. Laura, After I joined Curves it took almost 5 weeks before there were any changes. But when they came they made a huge difference. I always tell everyone just starting out to hang in there. It does take a while for the body to adjust. You will reap the benefits soon. Silly question or did I miss something along the way. Where is Ms. Jen?

Cindy, great to hear from you and that things are going pretty well. I had 3 friends banded last Monday and they are doing pretty good also. Good Luck to you. Mazzie. Keeping you in my prayers. Hang tough. My neighbor across the street got banded 3 months before I did and he is now divorced. I don't know the whole story but part of it is that his wife told him not to lose anymore weight. He really needed to only lose about 100 pounds and at the last I knew he was down around 80. I've heard of stories like this before happening. I know this isn't your story, it's just weird how this semmed to happen while you are losing weight. Beautiful day here in Missouri. We went for a walk this evening and I had to take my jacket off. I think it got up to about 70 degrees. Tomorrow supposed to get up in the 70's. Lots of yardwork to get done. Everyone have a great weekend.

Weird, I just went to a calorie calculator site and according to them it says that to reach my goal weight I need to consume 2350 calories a day. Says I should reach this goal by Nov. 13th. 2009.

Jenn, I'm so proud of you and very happy for you too. Good Job. Pam, Hubby and I stayed at MGM. We had a regular room and I had called them about a week before we got there to question them about a security problem. This was right after 911. Some guy had told the police that he had someone in his cab and he over heard a conversation that there was a plan to bomb L.V over July 4th weekend. Great, that was when we were going to be there. So I asked them all about it and told them I wasn't sure I wanted to come. They told me that it was a hoax but if we felt like we didn't want to come that would be fine. Anyway we get there and they moved us to a suite. It was huge. To big for us 2 people. They treated us like royalty. Would definatly go back again. We went to see "Carrot Top". Absolutely hysterical. I'm jealous you get to see George. I'm a fan of his. I hope you have a great time.

I actually have almost full day off. I have to go in later this evening to work for 2 1/2 hours. Other than that I will be getting some housework done and helping Diane with anything she needs. Other than that not much going on. I'm looking forward to my fill next week. I need it real bad. Pushing water today. Hoping to lose another 2 pounds atleast by than. Everyone have a great day. Drink, Drink, Drink.
