  1. Hello, It's me Suzanne. We just got home from our shift at the hospital. We were super duper busy. A lot of Flu and nazaly stuff going around here. On top of that, there is just a lot of crap going on in the family. I guess I shouldn't say crap. Just a lot of stuff going on. Having problems with older sis and her kids. Younger sis is sick. A neice in the hospital, Hubby having his 6 month blood work up done. And than I have to go to the Shrink tomorrow and tell him about my life and wonder why I find it so hard to lose weight. It's just all the little stuff that makes things a little harder to keep my life on track. I'll figure out the road I need to be on and make it as smoothly as I can. Over the weekend I had the worst bathroom problems again. I'm thinking that maybe I better go see the Doc and see if something else is going on. I have my next fill in two weeks and am so looking forward to it. I need one this time. The last two times I didn't get one. I have a long day ahead of me tomorrow. I'll let you know what the Shrink had to say when I get a chance. Thinking of all of you.
  2. Kat, I am so sorry for all that you and your family are going thru. I bet the stress is off the chart. Hang in there and know that we all have you in our thoughts and prayers.
  3. Good Morning, I hope everyone had a great Super Bowl Day. We had a fish and shrimp fry. Ummm good. Today will be a good eating day for me. That's one of the reasons why I like working. It keeps me busy and away from the kitchen. I do however have a dinner date with a friend tonight at Fazoli's. I'll just order a kids size meal and no bread sticks. (Yeah right.). I'll try my best. Everyone have a great day and Ill check in later.
  4. Good Morning, Throat is a lot better today. It wasn't till I tried eating a banana that the glob started to move. It still wasn't till around 3pm before it felt like it was dissolving. Yes, a lesson learned. I would tell you all what TracyKS's surprise was but I think it would be better to see a pic of it. i didn't think to take a pic before I sent it. You'll think it's cute. Kat, I got the one weeks pay for every year I worked. Hopefully he has a position that will make him available to stay on. I would like to tell you not to get so stressed out about it but it is a very stressful situation. I will be keeping my fingers crossed that it all works out great for you guys. I know Laura was going to Tunica this weekend, did she tell us Bye?? Judy, take your suit just in case. You may get there a decide to go in. Have a great time. I'm off to go to Curves. Have a great day.
  5. Heather, so glad that your hubby took you there. I agree with what you said about having the band and not realizing how much we depend on it till it's unfilled. You should do good, seems like you got a pretty good head for what's ahead of you. Hang in there and when the hungries hit just come here and we will help you out.
  6. Oh, and the movie we saw was "Inkheart". It starred Brandon Frasier. We are huge fans of his. Anyway, wait till it comes out on DVD. It was entertaining but not in a "Mummy" way, but it was good. I would just wait till it came out on video.
  7. I'm sticking with the hot cooa for the time being. I seriously thought last night about sticking my finger down there to see if I could get it back up. But right now it's sitting right on my band and I'm not going thru all that. It's got to dissolve here soon. And Haydee, your sugeestion made me luagh. Yeah, like I have cookies here......cookies don't last here. My tummy is growling like crazy but untill this is dissolved I'm not trying any food. Tracy, is it the package I sent you? I just only mailed that Tuesday afternoon. Boy that was fast.
  8. Ok Girls, I need your Help. Last night right before I went to bed I took a handleful of pills. Now don't panic. They were stool softners, the gel kind. Anyway they must have gelled together because I woke up around midnight and sure enough they did not go down. They were stuck in my throat. I walked around a little and drank some warm water than I went back to bed. I woke up around 4:30am and decided to try some very hot cocoa to see if they would disolve. Well that only manage to move the mass down to my band and that is where they have been for 4 hours. I went back to sleep for about another hour and a half. I got up and drank another cup of hot cocoa. I just got back form the Y where I walked on the tredmill. Now I'm trying another cup of hot cocoa. I am getting liquids down. Not very easily though. I haven't tried to eat anything because I'm afraid that it might get stuck. So, what else can I try to get this mass disolved? Any Idea????? It doesn't hurt, just very uncomfortable.
  9. It's so weird to hear everybody's stories of their fills. I have never had a problem with any of mine except one. 6 months after my surgery I broke my collarbone and when I went in for a fill he wanted it done under floro so that I didn't have to strain to pull myself up after the fill. Other than that he has me lift my head a little to tighten the stomach muscles and than he feels around for the port. When he finds it he sticks the needle in and gives me the fill and back out again. The worst part about it is if I forget to take the band-aid off when I get home, than I have a rash for about 4 days. Allergic to the adhesive. The whole time I'm in the office is approx: 10 minutes. Thats talking and injection.
  10. El Presidente Dr. Jazzy Bradford
  11. Back from the movie and just wait till it comes out on DVD. It was enjoyable but I would wait. Now I'm off to go next door and ride with them to the BB game at the high school. After that Deb and I are going for a Margi. Judy, you are too cute for words. Laura, I also look more pregnant than you do.
  12. Hubby and I are off to go to the movies to see "Inkheart". Have a great day. Be back later.
  13. I agree with having the protein in the morning. It's just that yesterday was one of thse really out of control days. The good thing about it was I don't keep anything here so I didn't have anything in the cupboards to run to. Have you ever had one of those days were it just seems like you just want to snack, snack, snack all day. Just like you just can't seem to get enough. You know it kind of reminded me of when you start your TOM. One of those kinda days.
  14. I'm up. Slept in a little this morning. I guess I needed it. Kat, Keeping Manda in my prayers. I'm sure that has to be painful and uncomfortable. Judy, I snorted my hot cocoa when I opened that e-mail you sent. Too funny. Michelle, be safe out there. TracyK, becareful moving. Where's Haydee at???? Everyone have a great day.
  15. We are having a fish fry Sunday during the game. I thought guacamole sounded good for it. Think maybe a pitcher of Margi's would also go good??????
  16. Just back from taking Sis to the Doc's and shopping. I actually made it out of Wal-Mart without buying any candy. I did however buy 8 avocado's. I need them for gucamole for the super bowl. Heather, I probably would have done the same thing. That story was too funny. Stand tough.
  17. It's gonna be a tough day today. I woke up hungry and I'm still hungry. I've had about 4 cups of hot chocolate, 8 life savers and I just now finished a bowl of oatmeal. I just feel like I could tear the kitchen apart and eat everything. And what is gonna make it worse is here in a little bit I have to take my sister grocery shopping. Lord, give me strenght.
  18. 5 degrees. Getting ready for work. Have a great day.
  19. A preliminary study suggests that restricting calories may improve memory. » How diet could help Funny, now I can't remember why I came here. Oh well.
  20. Tracy, is he complaining about pain? I didn't realize that they could get them so young. I had them about 2 years ago and mine hurt like the dickens. I ended up getting a tube of calamine lotion that had pain relief in it. That helped a little bit. Good Luck to you and Robby. Warning: ugly picture attached.
  21. Work was busy tonight. Thought that the flurries and cold would keep everyone home. We gave Tippy her first round of pain meds. Went ok but I'm afraid that now that she knows what is going on that tomorrow is going to be a lot harder. I did most excellent on my calorie intake today. Just wasn't healthy calories. I need to work a little better on getting some veggies in me. Have a great night and talk to you tomorrow.
  22. Happy snowy day. Yup, it's still flurrying here. Jane, from the very start my Doc made sure that I knew that this was just a tool for us. That we still had to work at losing the weight. Just that the band was going to make it a little easier. I'm always amazed at the people that lost all their weight and it seemed like they didn't even try to do it. That the band seem to really work great for them. I just have to remember that they probably didn't have the issuses with food like I do. That is why I am now seeing a Psych Doc. To help me understand why I feel the need to sabotage myself. That is one of the reasons why I always liked coming to this group. Somehow knowing that you all have similar stuggles as I do seemed to help. Knowing that I am not alone in my daily quest to keep myself on track. When I see that someone here has had a good day that gives me hope and rallies me to try to do the same for myself. When I read that someone has had a bad day than I know I'm not alone in this struggle. I told TracyinKS one time at a meeting that I really like when she post what her daily food intake was. That seems to help me alot. Some day soon you will find what helps you. Maybe going to Weight Watchers or some other form of a support group. I've been going once a month to my Doctor's support group meetings and I think they have been helping me. You too will find what works for you. Kat, I will keep your friend in my prayers. She has a long battle in front of her. Yesterday hubby and I had to take one of our cats in to the animal hospital. We were thinking that she had a urinary tract infection. They ended up having to keep her over night to get a sample out of her. This morning she still had not pee'd for them so they had to take a needle and draw out a sample.Turns out she just has a lower urinary inflamation. No bacteria. So she is now home and on pain meds and orders to drink lots of water. (Hmmm, where have I heard that before?). And to think that thru all of that I didn't stress eat. Well, I'm off to work. I have the evening shift today Wonder how busy we will be with it still snowing. Have a great evening. Tippy and Suziecat say Drink, Drink, Drink.
  23. Good Morning. All is well here. We are getting real little little little snow flurries. They are so cute. Regular schedule for today. One thing that I am really going to start to work on is "Why" I got my band. If I keep reminding myself why I got it, hopefully that will help me to remember to use it correctly and not abuse it. I'll remember to not to try to eat things I shouldn't and to not over due the things I can eat. Like Tracy says, "Respect the Pouch". TracyK, sending all my purple power to you and your neck. I hope that they can do therapy on it and get you to feeling a lot better. Michelle, Hope your daughter gets to feeling better soon also. Everone have a great day and remember that it is "CTCD".
  24. Good Morning, Up and getting ready for a very long day. Have a great day and make good choices.
