Terry, You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Hang in there.

Terry, I had left a message on his sons My Space to tell his dad that several people he knew had passed away, one of them being Kathy. He said he was shocked and wanted to know what had happened to her. He said he also knew what good friends that we had been and that I must have been very hurt by her passing. We chatted for about 35 minutes and I got all caught up on the kids. I still keep in contact with his 3 kids, I just adore them. They are too funny. Well, today is going to be a long one. I didn't get a whole lot of sleep last night. Now I'm up getting ready for work. I leave there and have to run by the dentist office to pay for my sisters dentures than drive out to Ks. for my Doc appointment. Getting a fill today. Yeah. Than take the 45 minute drive home so I can get the grass cut before the rains this week. Then to bed early so I can get up to take my niece to the airport in the morning. She has to be there by 6am and the airport is an hour drive from here. I hope everyone had a great weekend. I know I did. I enjoyed it, except for the Royals losing. Ughhhh. Pammie, starting your dount down??? Everyone have a great day and I'll check in later today.

Hey, did anyone have an earthquake a little while ago? Flooding? Hail? Tornados? Fire? Anything unusual???????? The reason I'm asking is because my phone rang and it was my brother. Yes I said my brother. The one I haven't heard from in over 4 years. The one that walked away from his sisters when our Mother passed away. So now I'm thinking that in another 4 years, I'll hear from him again.

Jane, the date for Chicago is June 27th. Right now I have to check with the girls at the hospital, I think we have that day set as our pool party. I'll let you know. So far, for us to fly would be about $400 round trip. Amtrak is $100 cheaper. Looks like driving will be our cheapest way. I'll keep you posted.

Hope you all have a good evening. Still don't know what I am gonna do about my training session tomorrow.... I know, You're gonna go.

Terry, loved the pics. Looks like you guys had a blast. Laura, so glad you go some sleep, I bet you really missed the little guy though. Here's some pics from the party that we went to. The first pic is Hubby in the gray shirt. The second is cousin Kathleen. The last pic is cousin Matt in the gray shirt. This was all at his house.

Good Morning and a very Happy Mother's day to all. There was a card and gift waiting for me on top of my laptop. Hubby and the kitties got me a very cute card and that a pin of an angel holding a little kitty. How sweet of them. We had such a lovely time yesterday. We got there about 1:30pm and didn't leave till about 9:30pm. Everybody was having such a great time. And the food was delicious. I'm up and showered. I'll be getting dressed here soon and heading over to the hospital. They admitted my nephew yesterday. About 2 1/2 weeks ago he got a tatto on his elbow. Well, before it could heal it got infected, now they are saying that he has that MRSA(sp?) and needs to be on continuious IV antibiotics. So before I head to church, I'll swing by the hospital and see heim. I may have to stop by Walgreens and pick him up a bag of Starburst. Jane, a friend of mine in Calif. has a son that plays in a band. The band will be playing in Chicago sometime next month. If I swing thru St. Louis would you want to ride with me the rest of the way? It would just be a one nighter:blush:. As soon as I know more I'll let you know. I hope everyone has a nice day.

Oh Judy, I bet you aged 15 years. Thank God someone nice and comforting was with him till the police showed up. Gob Bless them. The Sausage cups are made. The pasta salad is made and the cooler is filled. We are off to an all day party. The weather is beautiful here today. Have a great day and I'll check in later.

Home and loving it. I cooked some burgers out on the grill, nice and yummy. Terry, I was born in Englewood Ca. and for 15 years we lived in the San Fernando Valley (an original valley girl). The valley is nestled in the San Gabriel Mountains. And that is what I miss the most. Tall beautiful mountains. In the winter they would have snow caps. So pretty. I meant to say for Jenn, Tracy or anyone else... once a violet, ALWAYS a violet.. no matter how quiet or far you wander.. we'll find you :glare: Has anyone found TracyKS yet?????

Hey girlfriends, I'm in between shifts right now. Came home had a bowl of cottage cheese, we took the blinds down and than the guy showed up to replace the patio door window. Got that all done and cleaned up and now I'm getting ready to head back to do my second shift. We have a big all day party to go to tomorrow and than Sunday, God said "rest", so that is what I'm going to do. Except go to church. Terry, the pics are lovely and makes me kinda homesick. Laura, Enjoy your night and don't panic if you wake up in the middle of the night and forgot where you put Carson. Janie, relax this weekend. Everyone else, have a very happy and enjoyable weekend and keep it safe.

Laura, those are some scary pictures. Glad you guys are safe.

Stopping by for a few minutes. Breakfast this morning was great. I couldn't get over all the people that showed up. It was wonderful. From there hubby had to drop me off at my hair appointment, I was running late. As usual she cut it a little too short. That's ok because in a few weeks it will be just right. Kat, I really don't want a full time job but when someone needs to take some time off for whatever reason they have, I'm more than happy to step in and take their shift. I just hope they will do the same if I need their help. My boss has a hard time finding people. Everyone wants full-time, benefits and more than $6.50 an hour. This is a perfect job for some housewife that isn't relying on the money to live off of and something that gets them out of the house periodically. Like me. We are under a tornado watch till 8pm.

Up and trying to get ready to go. Slow moving today. Today is our monthly Family breakfast at Cracker Barrell. This will be the first one since Kathy has passed away. I called Bob the other night to remind him but he didn't answer. I left a message though. Hopefully one of the boys took him to the ballgame. Then I go to get my haircut. I really need one bad. I'm free for the rest of the day till I have my Women's Ministry meeting tonight. I have to go, I'm bringing the guest speaker. She is a girl that works out at Curves. She is a member of the "Linus Project". They make quilts to hand out to sick kids at the hospitals. She's going to talk about it and bring quilts for us to see. I'm looking forward to it. Terry, your trip sounds great and your weekend sounds like I need to be there. I was getting jealous just reading about it. Have a great time. Today is CTCD and I just don't feel like doing that. But I am. I have a Doc appointment Monday so I really need to kick my butt and keep it straight. Have a great day.

Home from working at the hospital. It was a little on the slow side but it was still a good night. This little part time job that I have looks like it will be turning into a full time job. One of the girls at the south store is doing her internship and needs to take time off, so Joyce and I decided to split her shift. She than called me later to tell me that she is putting in her 2 weeks notice. Oh great. And one of the other girls is getting married and it looks like she will be moving away. I'm exhausted just thinking about it. Then Joyce called today to tell us that she is leaving town for a few days, seems her Uncle is dying and she has to go. Friday I will be covering her shift and Amy's shift. Yummy, a double shift for me. Can't hardly wait. Eating got a little out of control today but still hanging in there. Have a good evening.

Arrrrgggghhhh.. Took sis to the Dentist, they said be there at 10am. Got there and ended up waiting till 11:45 before they took us in the room. Holy crap. I than had to take her to the grocery store and than home. Now I don't have time for a quick nap before we have to go do our shift at the hospital. Be back tonight.
-
Ughhhhhhh, didn't sleep well last night and I have a long day today. Janie, I love your rambling. Have a great time today. I look forward to seeing the pics. Keep up the great job with the food choices and exercising. Judy, you feeling better? Hope so. Getting ready for work and than I have to take sis to a dentist appointment. And tonight is our night to volunteer at the hospital. I'll check in when I get a chance. Everyone have a great day.

Tracy, I was also googoo about my personal trainer. Even though she beat the crap out of me, she was doing it for my own good. I still use things that she taught me. Haydee, pool is open but just to cold to use right now. I would imagine in the next few weeks we will be in it. Right now it's only getting into the low 70's. A little chilly for me. Hubby and I are getting ready to go to El Maguey's for Cinco De Mayo. You know how people want to sue McDonalds for being fat? Can I sue Mexico? Have a good one.

Morning girls. Sun is shining, cats are out in back and I don't have to work till later today. Life is good. Laura and Tracy, thanks for the pics. You guys really don't have that far to go but I know it is still a struggle. I'm sending all my purple power to you both. And Janie too. Everyone have a great day.

Long, long, long day here. I worked my shift this morning and than went over ot my sisters to pay her bills. Came home and mowed the yard. I got a call from a girl at the south store wanting to know if I could come in and finish her shift. She had a chance to go to the Royals game, so I went in and ended up having to train 2 girls to workout. Now I'm home and feet are up and watching DWTS's. I'm like Haydee......Pooped.

Jane, we give out stickers at Curves and the women love it. They also give them out at Weight Watchers. for doing good and for exercising. Somehow I guess it is a visual reminder that you have achieved something. It's great to lose a pound or 2 but it's hard to see it till it all adds up. Keep up the good work.
-
Good afternnon. Hubby and I got busy outside and than we decided to take the cover off of the pool. It really wasn't a job for 2 people but we got it done. We are dirty and smelly but the pool is open. Not warm enough to swim in, that will take a few more weeks. It sure was nice to see the clear blue water when we took the tarp off. We than sat and listened to the Royals play and than we finished up the ouside work we were wanting to do. I put pork chops, vidalia onion, orange and yellow peppers on the grill. I cooked up some peaches and cream corn on the cob. OMG, it was all delicious. I now need to get my laundry done and than I'll be ready for bed. Long day and I'm worn out. Jane and Tracy, Great job on the weight loss. Keep up the good work. I know it's hard but you can do it. Hope everyone had a great weekend.
-
Well tomorrow might be the day for the pool cover to come off. I'm not betting on it though. Hubby will make the final decision. We are off to some friends for dinner and cards. I made a batch of brownies to take. I even frosted them. MMMMmmmmmmmmmmm. Have a great evening, I'll be back soon.

Good Saturday Morning. Lots to do today. We need to get out and get somethings done while there is no rain in sight. We really need to see about starting to get the cover off the pool. Everyone have a great weekend and a safe one. I'll check in when I get the chance.
