Debating on wether to go swimming or not. There are a few pop up showers around. I'll think about it. Has Heather just completely left us? I haven't seen or heard a word from her. Not even an update on the baby. Oh well. Kat on vacation. That sounds like a wonderful thing. Jenn, hope you are getting your house done in time for everyone. I hope all goes well. I made some chicken salad today so I guess that is what is for lunch. Or leftover spaghetti from last night. Hmmmm. Make it a good one. I was just getting ready to send this when on the news they reported that a infant was left in a car for 7 hours. I hope those parents get put in jail. I don't care if it was an accident. No excuses.

Story Time. A couple of months ago, Hubby and I joined a fitness center that has been here for about 7 years. It turns out that alot of people I go to church with are also members there and my nephew was telling that a lot of people he works with also go there. Well anyways, there is this guy that is always there on the treadmill when I get there. There are 4 treadmills, 2 and 2 and he is always on the back one by the wall. I take the one next to him because these 2 are the ones that have the digital readouts that is very extensive and I like that. So I get up there and start walking and we are both keeping pace pretty good, however after awhile he will kick it up and before I know it he is running. Just makes me want to trip him. He runs for about 3 minutes and than winds it down. We are back to our same pace. Every know and than I get a good wiff of him and have to hold my breath for a few seconds till the fans pass by again. So, this morning we get there and sure enough there he is again. I get on the treadmill and off I go with my MP3 player going. Walk, walk, walk. Love it. I get a whiff, yuck. That's ok. It just reminds me that he's there for a purpose and that I need to be jealous of him. Now mind you this guy is probably in his early 60's and if I say so myself, looks like he would be a nice catch for someone,(maybe me in the future). So, he's winding down and I happen to look over at his monitor to see how far he goes and yup, there it is in flaming red color, 27.1 miles. OH MY GOD. I'm complaining about my measly mile that I do when I go there. Holy crap. If I wasn't is such awe of him doing that I'd trip him. Ok, no more whining for me. I'm gonna get on that treadmill and keep reminding myself that it ain't so bad.

Good Morning. Hubby and I are up and getting ready to go to the gym. Lucky me. I also have to work later this afternoon. So not sure if there will be any pool time. We had storms this morning and they may hit again today. But we had a good day with Abby yesterday in the pool. She has so much fun and is a crack up. One thing I keep noticing though is she is pushing the life-jacket issue. She started to get in the pool and than told me that she was only going to sit on the step. After about 30 seconds she got up and went over and put her jacket back on and got in the pool again. She's trying to grow up too fast. Kat, How scary. I worry everytime Hubby takes the Harley out. Like you, I do alot of praying each time he does. Thank goodness Rick had is guardian angel with him on that ride. Everyone have a great day.

Back from our shift at the hospital and it was kind of a slow night. So we got to leave a little early. While we were there one of the regular girls is on vacation and so they brought in the part time lady. She put in her notice and will be quiting in the next 2 weeks. So the supervisor was in the dept. and they were going over the schedule and talking about hiring someone to take the place of the girl leaving. Well, you guessed it. She asked me if I would be interested in the job and she was serious about it. I laughed at first till I realized that she meant it. Hubby wasn't in the room when all of this was going on and all I could think of is that he's just going to $#%& his pants. And he just about did. After the shock of it he asked me what I thought. I have a lot to think about. Alot to think about. Michelle, I hope you had a wonderful day.

Haydee, are you planning for next May for the wedding? Not saying that I'm invited (yet). But I will get my calendar marked and start saving for the trip.

He did his rehab about 3 months ago but when he got out he thought he could go it alone. So he never went to any meetings or followed up. So now he is paying for that mistake. Right now he is weighing his options for a sponsor. He has met one guy that he feels a connection with. He's gonna see how it goes. Believe me, I have my rules for him living here and he knows what they are and the first step over them and he is out. It's a long and sad story about the rest of his family and I don't want to tell it in this room. A real big shock to him was his girlfriend giving her ring back to him, it was a real shock and eye opener to him. So I'm hoping that this will be one good reason for him to stay straight. He's so afraid of losing her. She actually is the best thing that could happen to him but he learned that he's not to be hiding anything from her again. Thanks for the links, I definately will be reading them. Have a safe trip and I will keep you and your family in my prayers.

Thanks Jane. Busy day ahead of me. Getting my house cleaned this morning. I guess I should say, I'm cleaning my house this morning. Than I am meeting a bunch of girls for lunch at Appleby's. And than I have to work tonight. Terri, I know you are on vacation. I'm just wondering how things are going with the family. My nephew is on his 3rd day of going to his support group meetings. That was one of the stipulations of him staying here. He has to attend a meeting everyday. They actually told him he needs to do 90 meetings in 90 days. Long road ahead of us, not to mention dealing with my sister. She's walking a real thin line with me right now. Real thin. OK, back to the real life for me. I still have my struggles. It just sucks that I have to realize that I have to diet the rest of my life. I know I can stray a little but not go off the deepend. But I know that I will always have to watch what I eat. So starting today. here is my reminder................................. It's CTCD. Make it a good one.

Jenn, Hope things get better for you. I went to my fill Doc today and I'm a loser. -7lbs. Yup, that was me on that scale today. I'm happy with it. Very happy with it.

Up and getting ready to start a new week and I got on the scale. So far my week is starting out right. Lost another pound. So right now I'm -2 for the July 5 pound challenge. Let's hope this week is a better one. Today I will be gone ALL day. I work and than leave for my fill Doc appointment, from there I go meet up with a long time friend of mine that I basically only get to see evey time I have a fill appointment. We spend about 5 hours getting caught up on each other. This will actually be something I need right now. Me time and get things off my chest. Laura, I've never tried Xanax or anything else like that. I do have my muscle relaxers from when I fell last year and broke my toe and twisted my knee. I take one about once a month. Otherwise a Margi every now and than does me good. LOL. Everyone have a great day and I'll check in late tonight.

Morning Girls. Laura, hopefully the ring will show up sometime. I do that, think I'm hiding something and than I forget where I put it. Months later I pick up a jar or box and it rattles. Yup, there it is. Good Luck. Got up this morning and woke my nephew up. We got something to drink and changed our clothes and than out the door we went. A little over a mile walk. I told him that it was not a free ride here. He was going to exercise with me and he was to go to work EVERYDAY. I don't care how bad he felt. Short of puking his guts out. He was to be out the door every morning. And he is to attend a NA meeting everyday, even if he had to walk to one. Just so happens there is one everyday close and someone will be able to go to each meeting with him. No excuses. He's still on the fine line with all of us. So far today he has vacummed to pool and my car. I'm not riding him real hard but he's not getting away with thinking this is a vacation. I'm not sure how long he will be here. The girlfriend is going to see how it goes and if he's making a effort. There is a lot om mending to do before she will allow him back into the house. He was clean from the time he got out of rehab but after his accident last week he got ahold of a few pills and couldn't keep me from finding out. Friday he was carrying a load of laundry down the stairs and cut a step short and went down 7 steps and landed on his back and neck. He's fine, nothing broke. But they did a tox-screen and that was when the girlfriend found out. Because he was a fall patient and at risk, they felt that it be best someone stay with him. My younger sis and I were at the ER and there is no way she could stay so it was left up to me. We are back on that long road again. Keep your fingers crossed that this time he stays straight. Talk about letting your eating get out of control. Well, you all will be very proud of me for keeping in great. Except for the cupcake last night I have been a model bandster. And believe me it has not been easy. Not one bit. I swear if there was a Dairy Queen ice cream cake here, I would eat the whole thing. Judy, We didn't swim yesterday. There was a bad storm all night and then it was just too cloudy and cool to go in. Today it's only supposed to get up to about 82 but the sun is shining, so we will see if I get in or not. Awwww, Terry that sounds so nice. Glad you finally get a Happy day. Laura, So glad you liked the clothes. I had a hard time find anything elephant. But hope those do. I got to the hospital yesterday and they decided to keep him over night. They wanted to make sure that he didn't fall or pass out again. So guess who got to spend the night with him? Yup, your'e right. They had a very comfortable cot in there but the room was 72 degrees and I froze all night long. I had to get up 3 times during the night to go potty and it was all the way down the hall. Doc came in around 10:30 and released him but it wasn't till around noon that we got out. I called hubby nad he left right away to come and get us but the hospital they took him to was 45 minutes away. I got home and had to get the spare room ready for him because he is now living with us for awhile(can you hear how happy I am?) Than I had to take a shower, get dressed and get to church because it was my night to work. Came home and started getting food ready for everyone to eat. One saving grace, my Aunt called and said the they weren't coming out and would probably see us tomorrow. I finally have about 30 minutes to myself and wanted to come here and wish you all a very Happy 4th. Stay safe and have a great time. :smile2: Happy 4th.

So, I get back from taking care of my sister only to get 3 calls telling me that my nephew has been in his second accident in one week. I'm off to the ER now to see what is going on. Neither of his parents can make it so it is up to my younger sis and I to take care of the 3 kids. No wonder I never had any. I'm too busy taking care of everyone else's. I'll post later when I get back. Very stressful around here. Anyone got any chocolate????????????

Woke up at 5am to go potty and got back into bed and my mind started racing. No sense in laying there and getting mad. So I'm up and actually have about an hour to myself before my chaotic life starts for the day again. Major sister problems going on here and both of them have me running ragged. Between the ER and Doctor appointments and all the other stuff they require, it's a wonder I even have time to kiss the hubby along the way. And than on top of all that my 5 year old cousin is in ICU at Children's Mercy. Good news is she made it thru her surgery yesterday and the Doc's are pleased and said after staying for probably 2 weeks she should be able to go home. So looks like I'll be making a few trips down there also. I have actually managed to make it into the pool twice this week for about 30 minutes each time. Forgive me for not beng able to go thru pages of post to get caught up on everything. I just hope all is fine with everyone. Maybe sometime next week I can sit back and read everything. Well, off to go take my shower and head over to my sister. If I don't get back on here for awhile, I just want to wish everyone a very Happy and safe 4th of July. Most of the housework is done. I fixed a salad for lunch and now I'm headed to the shower. After church we are headed off to a BBQ. Remember a couple of months ago I took that Reboot class? It was a 6 week 3 nights a week with a personnal trainer. We'll one of the girls lives at the Lake and has invited all of us over. It will be good to see how everyone has been doing.
