Morning Girls. It's raining a cold out. Supposed to be like this all day long with the temps falling. Winter is trying to make it's way back in here. Taking my sis to the lab at the hospital to have here blood drawn. I'll leave here soon to go get her. She has to fast for at least 8 hours, so I'm sure she wants to get this over with so she can get some coffee in her, lol. I have an appointment at noon to get highlights in my hair. We didn't have time to do it last week when she cut my hair. So back today I go. Make it a good one.

Kat, I will be keeping Rick in my prayers that all will turn out fine. Hopefully they can just take a small area and stitch it up good. They did that with my sister. Keep your chins up.

Think I'll head to bed early tonight. I'm not feeling real good and am running a fever. I called the Doc to call into the pharmacy some anti-nausea med but I'm too tired to get out to go get it. I have to be out in the morning so I'll go get it then. Hope every had a great day.

Oh Jenn, that is great news all around. And to top it off, you will have insurance. What a big plus. I'm so proud of you and your weight loss. Thanks for being an inspiration. Kat, I know it sounds sad but we are actually going to the casino Harrah's for Thanksgiving. I'm actually starting to warm up to the idea of it. The thought of me not cooking all day is both a weird concept and also a blessing. I don't have to do all the clean up either. My best friend that passed away last April, well I ran into her duaghter and asked her what they were doing for the day. She said all of her brothers were going to their in-laws. So that left her and her dad and they decided to go to the buffet at Harrah's. She asked if we would like to go. I asked Hubby and Sisters and they all agreed to do this. Not to leave Bob alone on his first Thanksgiving without his wife, well, it just wasn't an option. And we get to avoid all the drama of who is going to make what and who is going to do what and etc. etc. etc. Still haven't heard about my cat-scan yet. I talked to the Doc's office friday afternoon and she was hoping that by today she would have approval on it. I'll keep you posted on it. Off to take a quick nap. See ya soon.

Watching the Music awards. Pretty good so far. Now if I can just keep my mind off the bowl of ice cream my sister put in the freezer for me. I just want to wish all of us Good Luck during this week of food. I know it will be hard but I hope we can still enjoy the company and friends and family with it not having to be all about the food. Tracy, sorry to hear about the house. That guy is just doing the wrong thing. Your time will come to be a homeowner. Off to the nephews to get some money that he owes us. He said he would pay us wednesday and we haven't heard from him since. So we are doing a surprise show-up. lol.

I'm so glad that yesterday is over with. My eating was way out of control. I mean way out of control. Ok, it's done and over with. Tracy, I love the house and am keeping my fingers crossed for you guys. Is that an extra bedroom I see for when I come to visit???? LOL. Football day today. Ugh.

Weekend is here and I have to work. Oh well. Not much going on, should be an event-free weekend. I said "Should". Probably just get caught up on some stuff around here. Have a great weekend Everyone.

Hey, Been really busy this morning. First we went to the gym and worked out. Came home and showered and did housework. Went to the bank and than took hubby to the Doc's to have his Glaucoma surgery. Brought him home and than went and made a beer run and picked up some Long John Silvers for lunch. Hubby is taking a nap now and letting the dilation wear off. Kelly, you have twin 24 year olds? You look great for that. I thought you were a lot younger than that. Hope they have a great day. Laura, so glad to hear about your MIL. I will keep her in my prayers that she wil recover very fast. Home from work and now getting caught up with Desperate Housewives. Thank heavens for TiVo. My next appointment is Dec. 21st. Do you think I could lose 2 pounds by than?????

Donna, Welcome. I'm the oldie in the group. Over 50. But age is not an issue here. Caring for each other is. Irene, WOW. Got home from the Doc's. He got to look at the x-ray they had sent and could see the spots they were talking about. He said he didn't think it was cancer because after 3 years I would probably be dead by now. I asked if it could be scar tissue and he said he really didn't think it was, but could be. I asked about the Silica and he said that we should just wait till the test results come back. He has ordered a cat scan. They haven't called me yet with an appointment for that. He's puzzled because it's been 3 years and I show no syptoms of anything. I feel like taking a nap but will refrain from that. The sun is finally shining here, after 4 days of clouds and rain. I need to take advantage of it. Maybe take doggie for a walk.

Home from our hospital shift. It was very active tonight. Lots of people having surgeries and trying to get home before the holidays. Kat, that was such a lovely post you did. Made me wish I had my whole family here. I'm pooped and headed to bed. I have my Doc appointment in the morning, so I need to get some sleep. I'll let you know what he finds out and what test he is going to order. I still think it's a mistake. See ya all in the morning.

No milk would be ok with me, it's the other dairy stuff. Cheese, cheese, cheese and more cheese. I fixed a small pot of chili and had a little bowl. I used about 5 crackers with it. That's where I run into problems, all the side stuff. I tend to over do it with the extras. I worked for 1 1/2 hours and than stood there and talk to the girls for an hour. I should have stayed on the clock for that. lol. Snow is gone but it's cold, very cold out. And I have to be at work at 6am. Brrrrr... When is our old Tracy coming back. I miss her alot. Tracy, hope you are doing better. Did you miss the hubby today?

I use coupons when I find them for stuff I but. I won't buy things just because I have a coupon for it. Why buy a Jumbo box of Cheez-it's, I would just end up eating the whole box. Probably in one day. lol. And I haven't figured out how to use on-line coupons yet. Guess I'll have to spend more time trying. I checked the ads that just got delivered and 40 cents a pound is the going rate for turkey here.

Back from Sisters appointment and had enough time to take Hubby to his appointment. He's had shoulder issues for a long time and the Ortho-Doc sent him for rehab. Well rehab is done and over and he's only slightly better. Doc said he could do a cortizone shot. But they decided to take time and see how it goes. I did go to Price Chopper and I bought a 10 pound turkey. I thought even when the sale ads come out today that if they have them any cheaper, that I could still buy 1 or 2 and than take one to church to donate to the pantry. Funny things is, we may not even be home for Thanksgiving. I talked to my cousin and asked her what they were doing. Her Mom was my best friend that passed away last April. She said that her and her Dad were probably going to go to the casino for the buffet and wanted to know if we wanted to go. I told her let me talk with hubby and find out. So far it's 3 of us for it but my younger Sis and BIL don't have the money to go. Looks like either way we will end up footing the bill for the holiday. So nice to see Kat's name down there. HI Kat. Missed you alot.

Woke up to snow on the ground. Not a whole lot but enough to make people stupid when they drive. And now I have to get out in it. Sis has a Doc appointment in an hour and Hubby's is in 2 hours. Price Chopper has turkeys for 40cents a pound. What do your store have? Be back soon.

Well Kat, I don't know whether I should be happy for you or sad. I'm hoping it's happy. But I'm sure you will miss the paycheck. Glad we will have you around here more.

Jenn, you need to tell us more about this hiking thing. That just sounds like so much fun. I love to hike. Kat, I will never own a car with leather seats. I've burned my legs to many times getting in on a hot sunny day with shorts on. Bummer about the alarm not getting you up in time to start the car. You need to get one of the car starters. I had one on my last vehicle and I miss it alot. Hope all goes well with the job today. I've been a busy little bee on my day off. Just finished mopping the kitchen floor and letting it dry good before I put everything back. Went and gave my blood, worked out, took the truck and went and picked up a shelving unit, laundry, potted some new plants and I'm sure there are a few other things I haven't mentioned. I'm at about 300 calories right now. I need to figure out what is for lunch. Make it a good one.

I'm up and not going to work. I traded my day a few weeks ago with one of the girls. I worked her friday and she is working today for me. But I had to get up because hubby wants to go to the gym and wants me to go with him. Isn't he sweet. lol. I go see my kidney Doc this wednesday for a check up so today is my day to give blood for it. Nothing to eat or drink till than. I can do the no eating thing, it's the no drinking that is hard. I really want my hot cocoa. Well, it's sipping water for me till than. Easy peasy. On thursday I will be going to see my regular Doc. Last week I got a call from a doc that I had seen several years back, he was wanting to know if I had done a follow-up to the chest x-ray that had been taken. I asked if they had the right person and sure enough they did. So I asked why was this the first I was hearing about this. They claim they had tried to notify me. They put the Doc on the phone and I was able to ask him questions. There is several spots on the x-ray in my chest that they feel need to be addressed. They said there was evidence of Silica in my lungs. So I am having them fax all the info over to my Doc and than I made an appointment to go see him this Thursday. I worked for a company for a long time and at this place we made non-nuclear weaponry. We were exposed to a lot of chemicals and because of that I have to be tested every 3 years for exposure. I'm not sure what to think about the whole thing. I guess right now I'm thinking that it is all a big mistake. I'm sure my Doc is going to order more test so right now I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that it is all a big mistake. I'll keep you guys posted on what I find out. I love a Benadryl induced sleep. Went to bed at 10pm and got up at 7:30am. I feel good. No walking outside for me this morning. Raining an 42 degrees. I don't mind the cold but the rain I don't do. All ready started a load of laundry and I have a few other little things I want to do this morning. Than I need to take a shower and get ready for a surprised B-day party for a cousin of mine. It's at a Pizza place where I have never eaten at but have heard that they are really good. I'll check in periodically today. Hope everyone is having a good weekend.
