Got my Doc report today. E-mail me if you want the details. But here is what I can tell you here. I have an appointment with a Pulmonologist Dec. 14th. I guess I will find out then what will all be involved with this. Not sure how they want to take care of it. When you lay your head down tonight can you keep me and my family in your prayers? I would greatly appreciate it. Now is the really hard part. I'm going to have Hubby put a lock on the refridgerator. I'm teetering between eating everything in sight to just not wanting to eat at all. Good thing I haven't started my holiday baking. Holly Crap. It would all be gone by now. Waiting is going to be tough.

Brrrrrrrrr. it's not supposed to get above freezing today. And without the extra insulation on me, I get cold and stay cold real fast. Looks like it will be a 4 layer day. LOL. Off to out monthly family breakfast. I really like to go to these. It's fun to see everyone and to get caught up on how everyone is doing. Then home to do stuff around here. Tonight is also the monthly Women's Ministry meeting and tonight is our Christmas party. We do an ornament exchange. I like doing that, even though we don't put a tree up. The last few years I have gotten ornaments that I have put in windows as decoration. And it's pot luck too. Still need to figure out what I'm going to take. Kat, Keeping Rick in my prayers. Irene, I hope you get to feeling better soon. Not a good time of the year to be sick and achy. Laura, Ghiradelli??? Oh yes. I remember when I would go to San Francisco on the weekends to visit my friend, we would always go to Ghiradelli Square. I loved it. Hope everyone has a great day.

Morning. Sitting here waiting for hubby to get home from the gym. He woke me up to go with him, but I didn't sleep real good last night and decided not to go with him. But I have to get ready to go out anyway. We need to take the truck in to have some work done on it. Sometime today I will take a quick 20 minute nap. I just have so much on my mind. Like calling the Doc's office and seeing if I can get the results of the Cat-scan. I still have that hanging over my head. Cold here today. Only supposed to get up to 36 degrees. That means lots of layers for me. Did I mention that yesterday we got all the Christmas stuff out and I decorated the house. It looks so cute. We haven't decorated this soon in over 15 years. We usually wait till about 2 weeks before but the weather is turning cold and we wanted to get it done before we have to bundle up good to go out and do it. Have a great day.

Wish I was hibernating (lol). Just got back from taking nephew to the credit union to get the car taken care of. He told us he got fired from his job the other day. Well, at the CU the guy at the next window knows my nephew and says "Dude, I hear you quit Zarda's". My nephew says, "Yeah, it wasn't working out". I didn't even try talking to him right now, I'm not in the best frame of mind to do that. I'm just furious with him over so many things. My GrandNiece is supposed to come over tonight and go with me to the Mayor's Christmas tree lighting. It starts at 5:30. I hope we are there in time. Her mom is known for being late. Day 2 of trying to do the WW thing again. I haven't rejoined, I'm just trying to do the diet. So far so good. If I stay on track and make progress I just may join back up. However, I did check and it will be $39.00 a month. Yikes. I'll think about it. Think I'll take a little nappy.

Home from work and school. Very tired so I'm headed to bed. Have to be up at 4:30am. Hope everyone had a great day.

I agree with Laura, ASAP anything with the IRS. About 15 years ago we had a discrepancy on our return. I contacted them immediately and they worked with us to get it resolved and worked out a payment plan. They knew we were good for it and was willing to take care of it. Home from work and getting groceries for my sister. Stopped by a friends house that is on the Christmas tour this year, she wanted someone to stop by to critic the decorations. I just love her home and now even more. it's soooo pretty. Now I have to go back into work. The other lady called and wanted to know if I could trade tonight for my Thursday night shift. That's fine with me. Thursday night is our Women's Ministry Christmas party and I didn't want to miss it. Sun is shining here but the winds are bitter. My knees are telling me that winter is here now.

Jenn, good luck on your first day at work. I hope everything goes easy for you and you have a great day. I'm getting ready for work. It's 28 degrees. After work I will head to the store and get stuff to start my WW diet today. I'm lookiing forward to it. Just need to get back into the habit of writing my food intake down. I've never been good at doing that. Kat, will you take pics of the stockings and post them. I would love to see what they end up looking like.

Laura, That story reminded me of the time my Grandfather who was around 70 at the time had suffered a stroke. My parents were out of state on vacation and by the time they could fly back home, they had taken my grandfather in and performed a circumcision on him. My mom was livid with them for taking liberties with a man who couldn't speak for himself. He didn't live much longer after that but could have done without the surgery.

Cindy, welcome back. Looks like you guys had a blast. I can't get over how much your daughter looks like you, lucky girl. Laura, I wish I had some good advice for you. I've never had to deal with a situation like that. Good Luck and I will send you good thoughts. Woke up early and my mind just started filling up with my to-do list, plus the fact that I have to work for 2 hours today. Ugh. Hubby said since the weather was supposed to be nice today that he would get the Christmas lights out. This is early for us. But I don't blame him for wanting to get it done. We used to cover the front of the house but as he has gotten old, we have scaled down. It's still very lovely. Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Nothing like not eating till 2pm to screw up your eating for the day. Looks like a very lite snack for dinner. Back to work tomorrow. Luckily it's just for a few hours.

Home from the cat-scan. I was suprised at how fast everything went. They had me checked in and to the radiology dept. We waited for about 10 minutes and they came and got me. Went in and laid down on the table. Didn't even need to put a gown on. I was in and out of the tube in less than 10 minutes. That fast. Now comes the hard part. Waiting. Not sure when I will hear anything. Hopefully it will be Monday afternoon. We took hubby's truck in to have them weld the tailpipe back on and it turns out to be more than that. $240.00 later. Merry Christmas. And we still have to see about getting the front end worked on. Came home and finally got something to eat. Hadn't eaten since last night at 8pm. So at 2pm I had a half of a BBQ sandwich. Weather is really nice here. 62 degrees. Sun is shining. I'll check in later.

Well, I lied. Hubby and I didn't head to the gym. We went back to bed. I just woke up about 1/2 hour ago and took my shower. Now to start my day.
-
Up early, but no shopping for me. I'm so over that. Several people that they interviewed on TV this morning said that the sales weren't worth it. They showed people in pop-up tents and sleeping bags. Crazy. Hubby and I will be headed out to the gym in about an hour. Then come home and I'll do some housework and laundry. I have my cat-scan at 1pm today. I can't eat or drink anything after 9:30, so hubby may be taking me out to lunch afterwards. lol. Just saw on TV that the Governors Mansion in Denver Colo. was TeePee'd. How funny. What a hoot.

Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...............Little Miss  Here. LOL. It was soooo worth it.

Happy Thanksgiving to all my friends here. I'm Thankful for so much, my husband, my health and yes, my family. As much as they drive me bananas, I'm still glad I have them. Our Troops and everyone that keeps us safe. I wish my house smelt good. I did take a shower so I guess that does count. LOL. This is just so foreign to me. Not cooking and baking, it feels weird. But I am really looking forward to spending the day with Bob and making his day a little brighter. My Thanksgiving Prayer is that all of you enjoy your day and have the time of your life with your family and loved ones. Hugs to all.

My older sis, the one with the head trauma called me crying today. She said she was sick and her throat was hurting. She said she called her daughter and she couldn't help her out, she was too busy at work. She called her oldest son and he was already on the road to OK. She tried calling our younger sis and she wasn't answering her phone. She called me an hour before we were to leave for our hospital shift. She wanted someone to go get her some cold-tylenol and some ny-quil. I said why didn't you call me earlier. She said she didn't want to bother me. So now we have to hurry up and put our scrubs on and head to Walgreens and then over to her place. She said she doesn't think she will be able to do Thanksgiving if she doesn't feel better. So we go to work, get off about a half hour early and head over to Best Buy to pick up Hubby's new laptop. Come home and I asked my BIL to come upstairs. So my younger sis comes up and says he won't come up because he is in a bad mood. I asked her what was happening. She said that they aren''t going tomorrow because they can't afford it. I told her that I had told them that we were paying for it and she said that they still weren't going to go. I said that was fine, that Hubby and I were still going and we were going to have a good time. Why is it that people can't just suck it up and make one day a happy day for everyone. Someone always has to throw a wrench in. My stance is that I refuse to beg anyone to go. If you tell me that you can't or won't go, than fine. I'm not going to get on my knees and plead. Hubby and I are going. This is more about Bob having to spend his first Holiday without his wife of over 45 years. So Hubby and I are going for him and no one else. I had gallstone about 8 years ago. They found them in a ultrasound. Doc said they were small enough to not worry about at this time. So about 2 years later I was experiencing nauseua for days. I went back to the Docs and he ordered another ultrasound. All gone. He said I must have passed them and that wa why I wasn't feeling good. Sis just came upsatirs and wanted to borrow some black socks. She wants to wear them with her new shoes tomorrow. So now I guess they are going. And people want to know why I want to go away for the holidays. :frown:

This is why I hate Holidays. THE DRAMA HAS STARTED.

Went into work this morning. This was our last day there. Store is now closed. Everyone handled it pretty good but that's because they are coming to the other store. So we will be seeing everyone on Monday. Came home and got hubby and we went to Best Buy to talk to them about the computer that will be on sale Friday morning. She offered us a ticket to get one of the 37 that they will have for sale. Turns out that we ended up getting a laptop instead. We went ahead and got it now while it is on sale. One reason was because it is a name brand and not some name we had never heard of before. Got a really good deal on it. We have to go back this evening to pick it up. We will go after our hospital shift. So looks like I won't be seeing hubby for awhile. LOL. Oh well. I'll check in later. Looks like I'm gonna have lots of time on my hands now. No hubby.

I'm gonna catch-up with DWTS. See you all tomorrow.

Is the trophy mine now???

I must be out of my FREAKIN mind. I just paid $45.00 to have highlights put in my hair. Holy Cow. I was getting ready to write the check when she told me that. I was thinkng it would be around 30-35 dollars. Good thing I have a strong heart. LOL

The hospital just called and my cat-scan is scheduled for Friday at 1:30. Now I'm off to go get the hair done. See ya later.

Kat, is this the recipe? Pumpkin Gooey Butter Cake — Paula Deen's recipes, Home Cooking and Cooking Tips
-
Kat, I have thought about getting one of those Snuggies. But I ended up buying an electric blanket for my chair here. When not in use it is folded up on the foot stool. That's for when the fireplace is not going. Otherwise my chair is at the corner of the fireplace and it keeps me pretty toasty. I'm gonna go look up the recipe for the gooey pumpkin cake on Paula's site. If I can't find it I may need you to send it to me. Tracy, How about teaching her to make and bake cookies or a cake. Something to get her mind in another direction. Maybe take both girls to the mall to do some pre-holiday window shopping.
