I'm home now for about an hour. Might try to tak a quick 20 minute nap. I ate a slice of pizza and now I'm gonna munch on a few strawberries. The store had them on sail and they taste so good. Gives me a sense that spring is on it's way. They also had tulips and daffodils at the store. I'm ready for warmer weather. I will check in after I get home from the hospital.

Up and showered. I didn't wake up in time to go with hubby to the gym. Oh well. On my plate for today is to get ready to go over and get Sis and take her to do her grocery shopping and than back to her place to pay her bills. Than come home and get ready for our shift at the hospital. That's about it. Maybe a few other things but in a nutshell, that's it. Still doing pretty good with my eating. I'm doing even better with my drinking. And it really helps out. I'm going to the bathroom more. Not that it's coming out any easier but I'm not constipated. Sorry about that. I hope everyone has a great day.

For some reason, I can not get warm today and I ache in my knees and hips. It's awful. The sun finally has come out and I'm loving it. It's always nice to see it. Makes me long to be floating in the pool aand enjoying the sun on my skin. I'm gonna leave here soon and go wash the car. Sure will be nice to see out the back window again. Then it's off to work for a 4 hour shift. I'll take my cottage cheese and pineapple with me so I can eat dinner there. I have found that I just can't eat dinner after 7pm. If I do than I'm up several times during the night downing Rolaids. No matter what I eat. Even if I take my meds late than I'm doing the Rolaid thing. Hope everyone is doing good.

Hey girls. Long day yesterday and another long one today. I'm working a double shift. I normally work Thursday night and a girl wanted to know if she could work it for me. I told that it would be ok and than she asked if I would take her Tuesday night so she could go to her daughters school. Yup, I'll do it. Than I have 2 days in a row off. I hope "Phil" says that this winter is almost over with. Jenn, you know you need to take it nice and slow with any relationship. If it is meant to be, it will. Don't get hurt again. Supposed to get up to about 39 today. I may take the car and get it washed. It's all gooky on the back and I can hardly see out the back window. Have a great day.

Kat, light at the end of the tunnel. How exciting for you guys. i used your example to explain to my other nephew to nt sign off on his almost x-wife's divorce. She is pregnant by another guy but our State says that you can not divorce a pregnant women. She wants him to sign the birth certificate and than they will do a paternity test for the divorce. UMMMMM NOOOOO...... I got right in his face and told him that. He said that the birth certificate needed a father on it and I told him No that it did not and if it actually did need a name, that he was to give them the other guys name. Holy cow. It's cold and damp here again today. I'm really getting tired of this but now that an end is it sight. Let's see what Puxatawney Phil says tomorrow. I hope he says 2 weeks till Spring, lol.

Morning. We survived our weekend and it was great. OMG, this place was amazing. I wish I could describe it and do it justice. Just take my word that it was awesome and who ever designed it had a feel for the old west bunkhouses(but with comforts for us old folks, lol). The kids were great and stayed safe. We had some amazing sessions with them. Saturday was bitterly cold but the sun was shining so we took off and hiked for a couple of hours. We walked almost every inch of the property and never once saw the horses. They were hiding form us, so no one got to go riding. That was ok because we spent a lot of time in conversations with the teen and that was what we were there for. Got a frantic call Friday night while we were there. Tehy were putting my cousin on dialysis because her kidneys were shutting down. They told me that if her kidneys didn't get to functioning soon that she would die before long. So yesterday we got home and I unpacked and than headed to the hospital. I got there and didn't realize that ICU was shut down to family and friends from 2-4pm. But they were so nice and allowed me in to talk to Gabby. Turned out that the nurse and I had a common friend. Anyway Gabby looked better than I had seen her last week. The nurse explained that the dialysis was taking alot of fluid off of her and that was why she didn't look so swollen. They did say that it was real scary there for awhile but right now they are holding out hope that she could still pull out oof this. Bobby even went home and pulled out a funeral outfit for her. That how close it came. Ok, I need to go in and get my hair dried and get dressed ofr work. I'll be back later today.

Back from working out. I hate having a pulled muscle. Makes working out suck. Like it doesn't already suck enough. Tracy, I have never watched Survivor or Biggest Loser. So I won't be able to chat with you about who is who and who is doing who and what. LOL. I hear people talk about the shows so that is how I keep up with everyone. Kat, you hanging in there?

Getting ready to head to the gym. it's 17 degrees out with a wind chill of 3 degrees Oh My. We are headed to the Ranch this afternoon and I'm really looking forward to it. It may be cold bit I'm sure the kids will keep us busy enough to where we don't notice it. I hope. Found out last night that my cousins kidneys are failing. I'm hoping we have enought time today to get to the hospital before we leave. Poor thing has hung on now for 3 1/2 weeks. She has fought hard but I think her body is just too tired now. Keep her in your prayers. I'll check in later

Busy day here today. Baking and getting things ready for this weekend. We leave tomorrow after the kids all get out of school. And to top it off, they are calling for snow. OMG. Tomorrow I will pack our suitcase and finish up on a few other things. I need to get some games together. Skipbo and a few others. I had another really good eating day. I did step on the scale this morning and was very pleased at what I saw. It will be hard this weekend but I plan to keep myself extra busy with the kids. My next fill appointment is on the 16th. I'm hoping to lose about 8 more pounds by than. Keeping my fingers crossed. Laura, good luck with the party plans and I'm sorry about the job. I bet that really hurt your feelings.

Just got home from the gym. I had another good eating day yesterday but I was a little short on my water intake. I need to step it up. Monday night at class, the kids were "who made the brownies"? So, guess who is making brownies for the trip this weekend. I also told them I would make some oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. Lucky me. Good thing they will be eating all of them. Have a great day.

"Partying Cajuns". Now that is something I would like to be a part of. Drink till you  Kat, that is just too sad. Those people in Haiti didn't deserve it anymore than the people in earthquakes in L.A. or any place else. How truly sad a life she has.

Good Morning. Day one and I made it. And I actually got in almost 100 ounces of water. Wasn't easy but I did it. I found myself starting to worry about Wed. and Thurs. and had to tell myself to not think about it. That I wasn't going to worry about what I was going to eat till that day and than I would deal with it. It's not easy. Still not sure who I'm rooting for in the Superbowl. Maybe I should ask Tracy her opinion????????LOL.

Hey. Got home from work and hubby and I decided to go to the hospital to check on my cousin. Things sure have gone down hill. I almost didn't recognize her. And besides that, they made me scrub up and wear a gown to go in her room. Hubby stood at the door with some other cousins that showed up. She needs lots of prayers. LOTS. Came home and took the brownies out of the freezer. I made them last week and while they were in the oven Lori called and told me that class was canceled. So I wrapped them up and froze them for today. The teens will like them at class tonight. I'm really surprised that I never got into them. It's cold and gray here today. Not as cold as Kat but it's 27 degrees and the winds are howling.

Well I bet Tracy partied all night long. lol. Go Saints. I had the laziest day yesterday. I at least did get dressed. Went to church and than came home and put my flannel pants on and my Harley hoody. Made a beef stew in the crock pot and the house smelt wonderful all day. We put a fire in the fireplace but it was so windy that we finally just let the fire burnout. Day one of my get my A$$ back on track, so far so good. Have a great day and I will check in later.

Morning Girls. I'm up early because I have to work at Church this morning. Father wants the ladies from the Women's Ministry at 9am mass so we can do a "HI, I'm so & so and Welcome. And your name is?" It's a time to meet our neighbors. We went and played cards last night and had a great time. We got home around 11:15 and headed straight to bed. As I had just dozed off, the power went out. I got out of bed and made it to the kitchen to get the flashlight. Sis hollered upstairs to tell us that there was no "Pop" from the breaker box. I opened the front door and for as far as you could see, no one had power. It was funny to see the people that were up and the flashlights in the windows. So I headed back to bed and layed there and listened to the quiet. I miss my fan going drowning out the cars. I don't know how long I had been asleep when all of a sudden the smoke alarm beeped and my fan came back on. I grabbed the flashlight and my watch and I reset my clock and alarm and went right back to sleep. Still no word as to why the power was out for 1 1/2 hours. Nothing on the news so far about it. Michelle, that sounds like it would be a lot of fun. 4 wheeling in the snow. I pulled some stew meat out so I guess the crockpot is the next to come out. It'll be good for a cold blustery day. You know we haven't seen the sun in almost a week now. They say that it will be here Tuesday. The cats all have cabin fever. lol. Have a great day.

We've lived in our house about 25 years so it was about 23 years ago that I bought Hubby a snowblower for Christmas. One of the best investment I've made. Especially this year, yikes we've had a lot of snow. Today I took sis to have her blood drawn and to the grocery store. For the over hour that I was with her it was still the all me and what I need attitude. Not once did she ask how I was doing or how was our other sis doing. Not even how was her kids doing. So next week I will take her to her doctor's appointment to see if we can get her set up with a psychatrist. I will take her to get her grocerys set up for the weekend and than I am coming home and packing a suitcase for hubby and me and we are "gone", and not looking back. We are going to have a very cold but very good weekend. Seriously, who would schedule a weekend at a dude ranch the last weekend in January??? I guess if I hadn't had a hysterectomy I would probably end up pregnant from trying to stay warm all weekend. OMG, LOL. NOT. Anyway, I am so looking forward to this. One reason is that hubby has never been on a horse, maybe this might be his first time. I will be taking the camera so I will post pics of all that we do and see. Here we are 22 days into the new year and I'm still not down any weight. What with the pressure of sister stuff and nephew stuff. And not to mention that it's a daily struggle to keep my mind off of my lung issue. Well it's a wonder I haven't gained 20 pounds. Maybe I have. I haven't weighed in probably 2 weeks now. We will all do it this year. Isn't that all of ours' goal? Be it 5 pounds or 100 pounds, we will all make a dent in it. I know I will eventually get my head back in this. I do have another incentive to help me along. For 2 weeks now the girl that we work with on Wednesday night at the hospital has been talking to me about getting the band for herself. She needs to loose about 120 pounds. So last wed. she told me that her hubby has finally agreed to her doing it. Her hurdle now is her insurance. I have given her all the websites to look at and eventually I will tell her to come to our little chat site. It's been fun to see smeone with that gleam in their eyes like I did when I first started out. Tomorrow is a work day for me and than we are going over to Bob's to play cards. It's still weird not having Kathy there to play with us. But her kids will be there alos, so that will be fun. Have a good evening.

Good Early Morning girls. Kat. I am so glad to hear your good news and I hope that it stays that way. Keep us posted on any changes. I was reading your post about shoveling snow and just couldn't muster up any sympathy for you guys, lol. We had our share of shoveling and don't want any more for the season. But the storm that is in Arizona right now is headed our way and it looks like we might be getting some snow out of it in a couple of days. Sister and I had a little blow out the other day. Didn't do any good, she still doesn't see that she is such a needy person. It's all abotu what she wants and what she needs. Not just her but her kids also. They are sucking me dry. We'll see how things go in the next few days. I've made her make a doc appointment so that they can send her to a pshyc doc. See if they can straigthen her out. Next weekend hubby and I are going to a Dude Ranch for the weekend. It's about a 2 hour drive from here and I'm really excited about it. Well, off to work. I'll check in later Have a great day.

Went and saw Avatar today with hubby. Awesome movie. I really, really liked it alot. The effects were so cool. Popcorn was too much. Now I'm bloated....ugh. But had a greaat day with hubby and than sister had to go a blow it. She and her kids are draining me dry. It's an all me attitude and I'm done with it and I told her that right before I hubg up on her. She never called me back tonight but I'm sure I will be getting a call tomorrow, maybe. But I'm drained after this last week. Between just coming off with dealing with her son living with us and sucking us dry and stealing from us to her daughter calling yesterday asking for money to her demanding that I come and do things for her. Right now I fell like trading places with Kat but I wouldn't wish this on her at all.

Last night my oldest nephew came over and we had a good talk about his mom and brother. It felt good to get things out. Not that it is going to help but I felt a big relief. Work this morning and than off to sisters. Seems she hurts to much to even do her laundry. She asked me to come and get it and do it for her. I told her to go down and reserve the machines and that I would be over to "Help" her do her own laundry. We have had so much fog here for the last 4 days and it is reaking havoc with peoples joints, but please. So much that you can't do your own laundry. I guess I need to have another talk with her about going to an assited living place, that seems to always wake her up and realie that she's not as bad as she thought. If we get the time I think hubby and I might go see "Avatar". Maybe. I have to go out to dinner with some friends and I'll have to see how my time goes. Everyone have a great day.

Hey, Just got on here for the second time today. Another busy day of getting a few little projects done. I'm loving it. We had leftovers for dinner. Now I just need to get the kitchen cleaned up and chill for the evening. Tracy, I guess you must be pooped. We haven't moed in over 25 years. I couldn't imagine trying to pack this house. Yikes.

Morning Girls, third straight morning that the fog is so thick that you can only see about 100 yards in front of you. Scary, there's been lots of accidents. Yesterday I never even turned my computer on. I did a "Me" day. I did some things that I need to get caught up on and than finished the day getting a new project started. I'm making a countec cross stitch picture for my niece's wedding. I'm so excited about it. She's getting married in Sept, so I think I should have enough time to get it done. lol. My nephew has joined the Navy. Holy Cow. I hope he knows that they don't like slackers. He has one more test to pass and than they will give him his orders. He's wanting to get into the boat mechanic part of it. I finished a quilt top for the local Project Linus group. I need to take a picture of it. It's my first one and may be my only one. I guess I'm just not a quilter. I did kind of enjoy it. Work this morning and than I need to run to Hobby Lobby and get a few things. Than I have class at church tonight. Next weekend we go on retreat with the kids. We are going to a Dude Ranch in Kansas for the weekend. I'm like "Who in their right mind would schedule a retreat in Kansas in late January at a Dude Ranch"? I hope they have a REALLY BIG Bonfire. To my Pacific Girls. Be safe in the rain. We will be getting it in a few days. Cousin is holding her own right now, which I guess is a good thing. Not really improving, just hanging in there. Have a great day.

Hey ladies. Kat, Rick better watch out...lol. Isn't it nice to get treated like that. I'm loving it. People treat me so much nicer now. Last night I was so tired from such a long week. Emotionaly drained. So I drank a margarita and about an hour later I took a muscle relaxer. You would think that I would have just been put out for the night. Not so. I didn't get to bed till 12:30am and woke up at 5am. I got up and came out and fixed a hot chocolate and than fixed another one. I than fixed an english muffin. So finally around 6 am I headed back to be and the next thing I know it's after 12:30 in the afternoon. I came out and fixed another hot chocolate and crawled in my chair and stayed there and napped till it was time to go to church. I just took some aleve a little while ago because my knees are killing me. Now we are going to head out to a birthday party for a cousin of mine and we will eat dinner at the restaurant. Not only did I have to be at the hospital all week with my sister but I got a call that a cousin of mine had been in a very serious accident. I headed over to another hospital and she was in ICU. I got to be there while the Doc was there and I'm so glad. She looks like she was hit by a mack truck. She was getting ready to head out to dinner with her hubby and was coming down the stairs and I don't know what happened next but she tumbled down the stairs to the landing and broke thru the railing and fell 10 feet to the living room floor. She broke her hip, collar bone, 3 vertebrate in her neck, stitches in her head and a very bruised and swollen ear. No bleeding in the brain but it took a beating. They did surgery on her hip but she had a dieseased liver prior to this and they don't think that the liver is functioning enough to send enough blood to the hip. They are afraid it won't send enough blood and that the bone will die. They won't operate on the colar bone because they don't think the liver will survive another surgery. I'll stop there because the list goes on. Please keep Gaby in your prayers. So far she has managed to hang on this long. Doc's are not sure she will survive this. We are holding out hope. So you can see that dealing with my sister and my cousin how I can be emotionaly drained. The one good thing goiing on is that my other sister is doing her best to not be so needy right now. She has been doing things for herself because she is trying to help me out. Bless her heart. So hubby and I are off. Going to try and have a nice relaxing evening. Tracy, I hope you guys have a nice first night in you new home. Chat with you all tomorrow.
