Morning Girls. Just got back from the gym. I did a mile on the bike and a mile on the treadmill. Had to leave to come home to get ready to take my sis to her post-op Doc appointment. Get home and there is a frantic phone call from her (Drama Queen). They called and cancelled her appointment till tomorrow. So I just need to go get her some groceries. Other than that I will be outside most of the day till it's time to go to work at the hospital. Catchya soon.

Michelle. I had my surgery about 10 years ago and the best thing I ever did for myself. Of course I had no choice in it. Doc said everything need to come out so there would be no chance of it coming back. But I'm still glad I don't have to mess with the monthly anymore. There is a huge incident of breast cancer in my family and the Doc did not want to put me on any HRT's. I begged with him because I was going thru a 10 day cycle. For no reason what so ever, I would ball. Cry worse than a baby. So finally he agreed and I stayed on it for about 5 months, long enough to get my emotions under control. I haven't had to take anything since. And with the eggs being gone I don't have to worry about menopause or hot flashes. Amen. Good luck with everything you will be going thru. Some of the things I did was to line up a little help. Rides to my appointments etc. I also got all the grocery shopping done, laundry. Just think of things that you think you might need help with. Keep us posted.

It must be getting close to Spring. Michelle doing all kinds of yardwork, Tracy buying sandals, Kat cleaning the laundry room and pantry and Hubby and I just getting done rearranging the garage and sweeping out all the road dust. We put all the winter stuff away and got out the mowers and weedeater. Hubby is going to make sure they are all tuned up and ready to go by this weekend. Looks like we will be cutting grass. Snow 2 weeks ago and grass cutting this week. Who knew? I finally got around to taking our taxes in. Tony came out as I was dropping them off and we had a good laugh about how I didn't exactly wait till the 15th. to bring them in. Never in a hurry because I always tell myself that we wil owe and I really don't want to pay anymore than I already do. The winds are blowing really hard right now but it is right around 70 degrees. They are calling for the 80's tomorrow and Thursday. NICE. Last night I went to the freezer to pull out a package of polish dogs to fix for dinner. I noticed that they weren't as hard as they should have been. I also noticed that there was water on the ice maker. What? Oh crap. The freezer part finally quit working. It had been making a noise for the last few days. So I got on the phone at 6pm and called my nephew who called his ex who called her BIL and he came over to see if he could fix it. He got here right as I was leaving for class. Hubby called me about an hour later and said that it was fixed. He had to replace a switch and a compacitor. Total cost was $135.00. We paid for the parts and than he charged us $40.00 to do the work. He saved us about half. I feel better knowing that the money is going to feed his 2 boys and wife and not into some companyies pockets. Thanks Troy. Well, time to get some lunch and then head into work. Doing a double shift today. Kat, as far as I know we will be coming thru your area around Septmeber 16th-ish. We will be in a little town right outside of Scottsdale Arz. for a few days visiting some friends from here that have a new winter home there. We will spend the night and then head on to Texas to meet up with another friend(hmmmmmm). Have a great day.

Hey Girls. Michelle, I got your friend invite. Thanks. I ended up staying up too late last night and then had a very hard time getting to sleep and staying asleep. Ugggg. So when the alarm went off this morning I just wanted to smash it. Got up and went to work and then went out to breakfast with a bunch of friends. From there I went over to my sisters to drop her laundry off. She's up and really getting around good. Came home and took a good hour nap. I feel like I could sleep for another hour at least. I have class tonight and trying to get up the gumption to make a batch of cupcakes to take for the kids. Right now I just don't feel like doing anything. But I'm sure the kids would love it. The weather here is beautiful. Supposed to get up to 67 today and each day a little warmer till we hit the high 70's by friday. I am so ready for a little warmth. Make it a good one.

Tracy, that is scary about falling asleep at the wheel. I'm ashamed that I have even gotten behind the wheel when I shouldn't have. I just want to get home and want to keep going. So usually what I do is roll the windows down and turn the music on real loud. Wake myself up. Going over to the nephews this evening for dinner. He's just going to cook hamburgers and hot dogs. I've made a few little side salads to take.

Finally got the kitchen and dining room floors mopped.Just wish I could get around to shampooing the carpets. Maybe next week. It's raining here and I don't want to do them while there is so much humidity. Went over to sisters and helped her out. Got her all cleaned up and fed. Than I went to a Pampered Chef party for one of my customers. Got out with only spending $35. I have so much of that stuff anyway. Stopped at the store and bought the stuff to make Chili Soup. It's a WW recipe and only 3 points for a cup of it. Can't hardly wait for dinner.

So, why would you put the Fat Girl in charge of the dessert table. Holy Cow. I was cutting up cakes, pies and cobblers. The cookies were driving me crazy. But I did it all with out a single bite and didn't even bring a piece home with our dinner. The fish was excellent.

Busy day so far. I got up and got ready to go to my eye appointment. Took the Doc about an hour to do my eyes. He was very thurough. I should have my new glasses in about 10 days. Hope they do a better job this time than last time. Left there and drove back home to go get my sis's prescriptions and some lunch. Went over to her place and changed her bandages and got her all set up. I left there with her in her recliner eating her lunch. She'll be asleep before long. Neighbor called and wants to go to lunch, so I will be leaving soon for that. I was going to shampoo carpets today but a liquid lunch sounds so much better. This afternoon I will head over to church because our annual fish fry is this evening. I'll help them get set up and work for a couple of hours. Than I'll buy one dinner and get a few extra pieces of fish to bring home and share with hubby. Beautiful sunny day her but very windy. The daffodils are popping up everywhere. Soon the tulips will be fallowing. I love this time of year. Not as much as Fall, but I do love it. Have a good one.

Hey girls. Sister is well and at home. Doc came out and said it was worse than what he had thought but he was able to clean it all up and was very pleased at how the knee looked. I was really surprised at how face he had it done. They took her in and I went to the surgery waiting room. I was there all by myself for about a half hour and than decided to go get some breakfast. They had mixed scrambled eggs, kinda like a denver omelette. I had them just give me a scoop of it and it was really good. So I go to the department that Hubby and I volunteer at to tell them that we probably wouldn't be in. They begged for us to come in but said that they understood. It's just that they have been swamped with surgeries. So I go back to the waiting room and they are waiting on my. She's all done and sitting in a chair. They had PT come down to make sure that she could get up and walk. I get her back to her place and get her all set up and she fell asleep in her recliner and I dozed on the couch for about 20 minutes. The phone rang and it was our younger sis to tell us she was on her way. I left them to fend for themselves. Hubby and I went in to work and were really surprised to have a girl that we first strarted with be there to help pitch in. As busy as we were, we had such a good time. We were exhausted by the time we got home. I took a muscle relaxer and cut it in half and took it. slept really good and was able to go over and deal with sis this morning. Got her all cleaned up, changed her dressing, got her breakfast and even did a little grocery shopping for her. She took a soma right before I left, so she is good for awhile. I'll go back over later this evening to change her dressing again, I told her to ask her daughter if maybe she might be able to do it but I'm not holding my breath. Younger sis came home from spending the night with her and was telling me about how she is such a needy person but doesn't really care about your needs or if you are being inconvienced. DUH, are you just figuring that out? So now I'm home and getting some stuff done around here. I need to go turn our taxes in. I hate putting that off and I'm sure he doesn't like me waiting so long either. I have a eye appointment in the morning and than I think I will come home and shampoo the carpets. Looks like the weather will be nice enough for it. Sure wish I could pick the carpet up and put it in the washer and then hang it outside to dry. LOL. Have a great day and everyone hang in there.

Kat, I was so glad to read your post. Looks like everyone can take a deep breath and look at this differently. I realize that the out come is still the same but this does seem to give her more time and gives the family more time to accept what is going on. I will continue to keep her and your FIL in my prayers. My sister is taking the Lovenox shots right now. She has a genetic blood clotting disorder. Not sure if my younger sis and I have it, we have never been tested.

Work, Wal-Mart and now my housework is done. Seriously. The weather is beautiful here and supposed to get up to 60. So I did windows. It was so funny, I pulled down one of the windows and my curious kitty tried to jump on it and slid back down. Hubby and I laughed. Anyway, windows are done till we have a good storm. Now I'm getting caught up on DWTS. Also I'm going to try not to fall asleep. I'm so tired. But I have to get up at 4:30am again. My older sis is having a knee scope in the morning. You would think she is having a leg amputee. She is so dramatic. Has her self all worked up and knows it won't be good. Driving my younger sis and me crazy. I will take her to the hospital in the morning and stay there till it's time to take her home. Once I take her home I will stay with her till my younger sis gets there then I will head home and let her have her for the rest of the day. She is also going to spend the night with her just to make sure she will be able to go potty by herself. Besides that, I'm off work till next monday. Hello. Back to Stars.

Jenn, do you still have the job? I hope so. I'm home and completely exhausted. I woke up at 3:30 this morning and have been going ever since. So after work and running around, I stopped at Wendy's and got Hubby some lunch and I bought a couple of side salads for me. I've eaten one and now it is nappy time so I can go to class tonight. Good Morning everyone. Sorry I didn't check in over the weekend. No excuses. I didn spend Saturday evening for about 6 hours next door. We played cards, dominoes and dice and had a great time. She has a 9year old and we really like playing games together. By the time I had left there it had snowed around 6 inches. Good thing I drove my car. I would have had a terrible time walking home. Yesterday I went and turned in my blankets for our Disney trip and I also had them look over the quilt tops I'm making. I've had problems piecing them together and found out why. They didn't give me enough material. We had a good laugh over it. Today I'm doing a double shift again and I have class tonight. I work my regular shift tomorrow morning, Than I am off work till next Monday. Thank You. What will I do with myself. Well, I know my sister will have me moving alot. She is actually having a knee scope done on her left knee wednesday morning. I will have her till the afternoon and than my younger Sis gets her. She said she would go over and spend the night with her. I'll be back over there the next morning to chec to make sure all is ok. They are just going to scrape some cartlidge in her knee, she has a slight tear in her miniscus(sp?). She'll be fine but be a big baby. Have a great day and I'll check in later. Home from work and getting caught up on stuff. It's been snowing all day so I'm not sure if I will make it to church. Anyway, at work this morning I got there at 8am and opened. I sat for over 1 1/2 hours before anyone showed up. Finally a small stream of people came in. I had 9 all total. So the last one was leaving at 11:35 and we close at noon. She asked if I had to stay and I told her no, that I was headed out the door in a few I needed to get things closed up. I just finished shutting down the computer when I see a faithful patron pull in the parking lot. I had already put the closed sign up. Crap. So I finished doing what I started and thought I would still stay and let her exercise. She must have seen the closed sign because by the time I could get to the door, she was pulling out. I felt bad but we do close at 12 and it is a 30 minute work-out. At best she would have gotten a 20 minute one. I'll talk to her monday about it. So I came home and pulled some chicken out and boiled it. I made a pot of chicken noodle soup. I cleaned out the leftovers from the fridge and got it cleaned up. I'm not eating a bowl of chicken taco salad. Yummy. Michelle, what a cool idea about the eraser board. One way to keep you on track. And I like the fact that it is so accesible. Sure glad to hear thet Reggie is settling in. Good doggie. Kat, that is excellent news about the child support, just don't let what is happening in his family put a damper on any happy occasion that you guys have going. I realize that his mother doesn't have long to live and that is very tragic. I really hate to sound like a cold hearted biotch right now, but Life goes on. You and Rick still have to live. Be there when she needs you but also live your own lives. My Dad made sure that we had laughter when he was dying. He knew how hard it was going to be for us but he also knew that we still lived and had to go on with a heavy heart. So he tried with all his might to bring a smalie to our faces. Keep Rick at the first thing you do every day and the last thing you do. His family will survive. Tracy, I am so looking forward to our visit this summer. Maybe you'll be lucky enough to find a little part time job to do while the girls are in school. Jenn, I'm so excited about you starting your new job and very jealous about all your walking. I'm so waiting for spring to be here. Wait, it is spring. What the hell is it doing snowing outside than. Crazy world.

Hey. Long day at work. One more day and than I have a day off. Woot Woot. They are calling for 6 inches of snow tomorrow. Crap. Oh well. I have to get out in it to go to work than I have to work at church tomorrow evening. And than I will be going over to the neighbors for pizza and game night. All in this snow. Hubby and I went to Long John Silvers for lunch and I got to eat one piece of fish. I love Lent. Fish. Well, off to bed. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Good Morning Girls. I'm up, barely. I woke up around 2am. Went to the bathroom, got back in bed and laid there for I don't know how long before I fell back to sleep. Next thing I know the alarm is going off. Ugggghh. We had a beautiful day here yesterday and they are calling for another one today. Then tomorrow a winter storm warning has been posted. Holy Cow. When is spring going to be here. I'll check in later today. I'm working another double shift. Make it a good one.

Hey. 2 more days of a very long and hectic week. Everything went wonderful at the funeral. I was so overwhelmed with the amount of people that showed up. I don't think I have ever seen that many people. It was a beautiful service and the people that spoke did a wonderful job. The singing was beautiful also, they started off with Danny Boy and finished up the service with Galway Bay. Tears were flowing the whole time. After everyone started to leave, we left and went to her brothers house for a gathering. He built a big bonfire out back and we hung around there. He had a friend come over and cook corned beef and cabbage and a whole lot of other foods. We got home late and went straight to bed. Suzy, so glad to hear that things are going good for you guys. You hear so many horror stories. But if not making her bed and brushing her teeth is the worst, than you have it made. I will still keep all of you in my prayers. Kat, what a mess those people make. Hang in there. Tracy, I would love to find a PT job. Not like the one I have. I would love to get on at the hospital or something with more of a challenge and meaning to it. And more than minimum wage would be nice. I have a full shift tomorrow and than have to work saturday also. Saturday may not be to bad, they are calling for snow. It might be a real slow day for me. Happy Saint Patrick's Day to You. Today is my nephew Luke's 30th. Birthday. Gosh, to be 30 again. lol. Raining here but I hope it clears up later for the funeral. First I have to go get my Sis and take her to a Doc's appointment. Than I will come home and get dressed in Greens. The Obit asked for everyone to wear their green today. I cooked my Corned Beef yesterday. I don't make cabbage because I can't stand the smell of it. Yucky. But I love Corned Beef. Have a good day and I'll check in later. Oh Kat, your MIL will be in my prayers. I will also keep the rest of the family there and wish for them guidance in how to deal and accept what is happening. It's so hard to know how to act when you recieve news like that. I remember being stunned when the Doc called us about our Father's cancer. Keep your heart and minds open. Thank you for the kind words. I look forward to celebrating her life with the rest of the family. I'll be gone for most of the day tomorrow. I'll try to check in when I can. Jenn. I'm so proud of you and extremely happy about your new job. I wonder how Gia is still adjusting to her new life.

Yeah, I'm ok. I woke up at 4:30 when my alarm went off and I laid there for a few seconds and was afraid that I might fall back to sleep. So I got up and got into my early morning routine. It's just that I have a really hectic week with working some double shifts, taking sister to Doc appointments and to top it off I have to go to a funeral tomorrow. It's a long story but a cousin of mine has been on life support for a long time and they decided Saturday to turn everything off. She lasted 5 minutes and then was gone. I have been every week to the hospital to see her for the last 2 months. She fell down a flight of stairs and fell thru the railing and landed 10 feet down in to the living room. She broke 3 vertebrate in her neck, collar bone, ribs hip and thumb. All on her right side. The side she landed on. It was a dominoe effect with her. Once one thing started to fail than something else would go wrong. She fought long and hard to get back and was making a good stride but suffered another set back due to some blood thinners. She went down hill from there. She was only 49 years old. I'm going to miss her terribly but not those trips to the hospital. That side of my Family is all Irish. So her funeral being on St. Patrick's Day is going to be strange but I imagine, knowing my family, that there will be a huge celebration afterwards. There will be a lot of toasting and singing. Now I off to work again. These double shifts make for a long day. Hope everyone is having a good day.

Jenn, I am so excited for you. What a great thing to hear. I hope all goes well for you and that this is a wonderful beginning to a long career. Kat, I was once like you. My sister would get on me about it saying that some time someone is going to pull a gun on me. It may have stopped me from speaking my mind but doesn't stop me from giving the ugly stares. It must work, I see people back off or stop what they were doing. I got to work at 6am and sat there for over 2 hours before anyone showed up. I was texting another co-worker and was telling her I was thinking about going out and standing on the curb with a box of donuts and try to entice people to come in. I was even thinking about calling hubby and having him come in to work out so I could show my boss that at least one person came in. So about 8:30 I finally had a full house, just in time for my boss to come in. It's not my fault that people are not coming in. I just don't want her to change our hours. I have class tonight and than will be headed right to bed. I have to be at work again at 6am. and than a short trip to Wal-Mart. Hope you are having a great day, even you Kat.

Kat, that's a lot of snow for a quick storm. Glad you got the fertilizer down. I went to the Support Group meeting yesterday. It was a really good one. Came home and did some stuff here at the house and then went to church. Last night I went downstairs and watched "Bolt" with Sis and BIL. What a cute movie. Today I have spent most of it working on the quilt tops. This design is more tedious then the last one. Lots of piceing together. I won't have them done by this weekend to turn in but that's ok because I have 5 others that I will be. We only need 4 total. So I'm good. Getting ready to fix chicken tacos and beef tacos for dinner. Yummy.
