Tracy, try and get a good nights sleep.

Ok, I'm back. We needed to tell each other what was going on with the nut. I have an appointment with the Pulmonologist tomorrow afternoon. The CT Scan with contrast showed that the mass are actually cyst. She said that they are not cancerous, AMEN. But I need to go ask a lot of questions. I'll let you guys know what I find out. And my Band Doc wants to know if I can have the surgery for my hernia, so that will be one of the questions. I'm not really wanting to have the surgery because I'm losing weight this way. Usually after lunch I am done eating for the day. Have a great evening. Hi Jenn, miss you.

Hey guys, Left work and went to WW for my weigh-in and meeting. Lost another 2.5 pounds. That's 18.8 in the last 5 weeks. I'm pretty happy. Hubby called to tell me that the hospital had called and they were dismissing my sister. So off I go to feed her cat and open the windows. I head all they way over to the place and get her and we head to the store to get her prescripts filled. She doesn't want to do any shopping, just go home. Well, you have no food in your apartment. An hour later we are leaving and taking her home. She called me just a little while ago to let me know that she has set up a few appointments already. It's back to normal around here, her driving me crazy. Be back in a few, other sister just walked in. Never ending around here............

Cindy, That is a good looking family. We have a strawberry festival here also. I have never been but I have heard that the food is wonderful. Guess I need to stay away from there.
-
Tracy, I agree. You did it once and you WILL do it again. We will be there to cheer you on and to listen anytime you need us. Keep up the good work.

Hey. I am so pooped. The concert was more awesome than you could imagine and we just had the best time. All 3 singers were great and George did a fabulous job. We didn't get out of there till after 11:30 and by the time we got home and in to bed it was 12:30ish. My alarm was set for 6:30am. Yes, I meant to get up at that time but acctually ended up waking up at 6:15. Got out of bed and took a shower and fed the kitties. I had to meet my boss at 9am to head over to Kansas to go to a training seminar. Got back into town around 3:30 and stopped by to feed my sisters cat. I'm so surprised that I did not fall asleep at the seminar. I'm really ready right now to hit the bed but I stripped it this morning and am washing everything. Plus Hubby and I just changed the box springs and flipped the mattress. I should be sleeping good tonight. Kat, that is horrible about you son and his family. I will keep them in my prayers that all works out for the best for them. Michelle, glad to hear you are feeling a little better. And how sweet of you to take the little doggie in and watch out for it. I hope the owners turn out to be people that really do care about the dog and that he just somehow managed to get lost. Poor thing. I see a long night sleep in my near future.

Morning Girls. Up and trying to get woke up so we can head to the gym. Big day for us. The concert for George Strait and Reba McEntire is tonight. I'm so excited. There is 6 of us going and I also know of some other cousins that will be there. And I'm NOT driving. WooHoo. Michelle, One other thing. It was about 5 weeks before I got behind the wheel of my car. I finally decided to go to the store and startedt to pull out of the garage, as soon as I had to turn the wheel out of the driveway I put it back in drive and pulled back into the garage. The muscles that it took to just turn the wheel were not ready for that. I had to wait for hubby to get home so he could take me to the store. Also get yourself one of the grabber things. The long pole things that you can use to pick things up with. That way if you drop anything you won't have to bend over. It will be awhile before you'll be able to do that. Tracy, I'm so proud of you and really happy for you. Be back soon.

Michelle, congrats on them moving the surgery up. I know it was one of the best things that happened to me, you'll love it too. I spent about 2 weeks prior to my surgery getting things done. All the laundry shopping, baking, cooking, bills, cleaning and anything else I could think of. It made a huge difference because I was able to come home from the hospital and not worry about what needed to be done and how was I going to do it. Went to the grocery store this morning and picked up a few things that they had on sale. went from there to the hardware stoe and bought some grass and weed killer. I have yardwork in my future. It's really chilly out and supposed to get up to only 60 degrees today. Tracy, thank you for being on track and headed to make it thru day 4. It's stuff like that that keeps me on track, especially when you go to the store and they have all their Easter candy on sale.

Wacky day at the hospital. I had called this morning to see if I needed to come in for labs. She said no unless I was diabetic or allergic to dye. Well, I'm both. So in at noon I go to have blood drawn. I go from there to radiology and they take me right in. Put me on the table and I hear them talking. She comes back and asked if I had labs drawn. Yup. Well, we have to wait till the report comes back. You guessed it, they lost my report some where. An hour and a half later they get the report and decide not to do the dye-contrast. They said they didn't want to tax my kidneys. She said that she read the report from the previous Scan and it said to just do a follow up one. So I told her what the Doc wanted and why. She went and explained it to the radiologist and came back and said they would use half the amount of dye. By this time I have not had anything to eat or drink in about 15 hours. I'm dehyrated and they stuck me 3 times before they could get an IV in me. Took longer to do that then the whole scan took. By this time we are now late at getting out and we still have to run home to eat and change and get back to the hospital for our shift. So Hubby goes over to our department and tells them that we won't be in to work. We left and went to a new mexican restaurant for a late lunch. Home now and sat outside with the kitties till it got too cool. Now just gonna take it easy and enjoy my evening off.

Horrible night with the acid in my throat. Woke up with a pounding headache and can't take anything because I have my CT Scan scheduled for today. Ugghhh. It'll be ok. Tracy, awesome job on day 3. And I bet with the stress going on with the DSD it hasn't been easy. Just remember that you come first. If you don't take care of yourself than you can't take care of your family. Kat and Michelle. I hope this morning finds both of you feeling better nd getting better. Jenn, So glad you are back to work but I miss you being here. Hope all is going well with you and the kids. Hi Cindy. I'll be back after our hospital shift this evening.

So, if you go to the dictionary and look up "nothing", you will see a picture of me. Really. For about 4 hours that is all I did and I would have done it longer but I was able to get in to get my hair done. And Daniel just stopped by for a ride. He the boy that is 23 but has the mental capacity of an 11 year old. We all watch out for him in the neighborhood. His mom is a teacher and there is 6 kids in the family. Daniel shows up every now and than and either needs a ride to church or just wants to hang with you. He's always full of questions. Poor thing. He doesn't understand why people are so mean. I wish I knew that answer. Kat, OMG. That had to have been awful. We took my sis back to the surgery Doc to have the stitches taken out and he couldn't find anything wrong. She was bending and moving the knee on her own. She also knew she was out of pain pills and wasn't going to get anymore so she had her little agenda. Not sure what I want to fix for dinner. Maybe some scrambled eggs.

Hey Girls. Kat, so glad to hear that it isn't serious enough for you to be in the hospital. But I hate that you don't feel good. Do as the Doc says and get lots of rest. Well, here is my story for the day. If you want to skip over this I wouldn't blame you. It's just a day in my life. I'm at work this morning and about 7:45 am a really bad storm blew in. Everything was ok just a lot of wind and hard rain. So my cell phone goes off and I was thinking that it was hubby calling me to tell me he was home from working out. Nope, it was my older sis calling to tell me that she was in so much pain that she was going to call an ambulance to come and take her to the hospital. This is the one that had the knee scope done about 10 days ago and has done nothing but complain about it. The Doc said at her follow up that she had great movement and everything looked really good. He was very pleased with the surgery. He saw no reason for her to be in such pain. They called her pain Doc and he said it was ok for this Doc to write a script for vicodin, a 10 day supply. This was last Thursday. So I texted my younger sis to tell her what was goiing on and she called me right back to tell me she was going over to take her to the hospital. Older sis was really upset when they didn't admit her to the hospital for her knee scope. So she's laying there all moaning and wiggling and they can't find anything wrong with her and said that they were going to release her. She got upset and proceeded to tell them that she was thinking about committing suicide. Give me a break. Please don't misunderstand me about this. We've been down this rode so many times with her. So they said that they would have to call a psych consult. This Doc wasn't sure about her either but decided that they couldn't keep her and were having her sent to another hospital that has a psyhc ward. So she is one happy little girl now. My younger sis and my neice both commented on how all of a sudden she changed from being in extreme pain to now being content. There is more to this story but I will save you from it. She has her daughter all upset thinking that her mom is going to kill herself. We had to convince her that she isn't and that this is just her plow to get pain meds and attention. I think this is about our 6th time with her doing this. She knows her way well thru the loops. I'm not heartless and please don't think of me as a bad person, but unless you have dealt with a person like this you just don't know that there are some things that you take serious and some that you know that she is using you. So I take off because I have an appointment with my Band Doc. Hubby and I drive all the way out there to see what he has to say about my upper GI and he explais to us that the best thing to do is to do surgery on it. But he wants to know if I have had my second CT Scan yet. We come home and I call the Pulmonoligist office and talk to them. They called me right back and I have an appointment to have my Scan done this wednesday so we can see what my treatments are going to be. Band Doc said it's not a big rush on this and that once I have the other thing under control I can go ahead and schedule this surgery. It will be an out patient proceedure and he should have it repaired in about an hour. I told hubby I'm not sure I want to have it fixed because I'm so afraid of what to eat that I haven't and in the last 6 weeks I have lost 9 pounds. I'm liking this part of it. lol. Get home and the neighbor comes over to sit on the deck with us and spends the next 2 hours gripeing about her cheating husband. aye, aye, aye. Calgon take me away. So older sis will be in the ward for about 5 days which will give me a little rest except I'll have to go over to feed the kitty and take care of a few other things. Now I'm off to go get ready for bed. Gotta work in the morning and then come home and take care of stuff here. Hope all of you are doing good.

Done. No more food. Stuffed. It's days like today that I hate having a Band. I wanted to eat so much more.

Good Morning and a very Happy Easter to you. What a rejoiceful day. I will be working at Church today, being a eucharistic minister. I really enjoy doing that so much. From there I will head over to the sisters to take her a little gift I got for her. Then it's back home. I'm baking a ham, scalloped potatoes, potato salad, green bean casserole and about 18 other things, lol. Yesterday I baked a german chocolate cake for desert. What sucks about that is that tomorrow is my appointment with my band Doc. I'm down 7lbs as of this morning and I want to keep it that way. But the reason I am seeing him is because he wants to talk to me about the hitial(sp?) hernia he found. Kat, on my brisket I trim as much fat as I can then make a bed out of foil in a heavy pan. On top of the brisket I season it real good then slice a big onion and lay the slices over the brisket. I then pour about a tablespoon of liquid smoke over it. Roll the foil up and close it real good. Put in the oven when I head to bed at about 225 degrees. You can smell it cooking all night long. The family loves it. I slice it and put BBQ over half of it and the other half I leave plain for anyone who likes it that way. It makes wonderful sandwiches or you can eat it just with a fork. Yummy in your tummy. Hubby and I got out yesterday and did yard work also. We finally got to put down the grass seed. Good thing because they are calling for a little rain later this afternoon. Last night we watched "The Hurt Locker". Very good movie but can someone explain to me how it won as best picture of the year????? My prayers are that everyone has a great day today and you enjoy whoever you spend the day with. Jesus is in our hearts, let's show that. Have a great day.
-
Kat, the brisket sounds like a wonderful idea. Besides, it's not about the food but enjoying the family time. But we have doen things like that before. I cooked Chicken Fried steak for Thanksgiving. I only make it about once a year, so I thought it would be a treat. It's all about family time and spending it enjoying each other. Finally got the carpets shampooed.

Up and going to work.
-
Kat, they called and said that the car won't be ready till tomorrow so I will call in the morning and have them check the track. Don't need a second time going in. As far as the announcement, that's the first time I have heard from any of them except Pam. I'm in your boat with you guys. I guess I just wasn't worth their time either. I do miss going to that room but my sanity and self-esteem are worth more to me. I'm enjoying my new friends here and some of my old ones. Pork chops were delicious, almost as good as the weather. I saw tons of daffodils out today. Tulips will be here before we know it.
-
So this morning on our way to the funeral, hubby puts the driverside window down. We get to the funeral and the window won't go back up. They are calling for rain here tomorrow and the next day so I take it to the dealership. $350.00 to replace the motor. By any chance did I happen to mention that we are retired?????? Doesn't matter to them. Uggghhhh.
-
It's gonna be another beautiful day here today. Hubby and I are getting ready to go to our monthly family breakfast. We will leave there and head to a funeral. A good friend of ours Mother passed away Monday. That should put us back here around 2pm. Then guess what????????? The lawnmowers are coming out and getting used. Our first cut of the year. I love to mow, lol. Really, I do. Think I'll pull some pork chops out to put on the grill tonight. Make it a good one.
-
Kat and Tracy, I got an e-mail the other day from Laura. It was a copy of a Birthday Announcement for Carson's 1st. B-day. It's really cute but OMG. I can't believe he is a year old. Where does the time go?
-
Just got home a little while ago and fixed me a salad. Took it out on the deck and enjoyed the weather and lunch. It is so beautiful outside. Makes me want to call in sick at the hospital this evening, LOL. Hope you're having a good one.
