Morning, I'm up early and think I will go take a long walk. It's supposed to get up to real hot today and I think I will get my exercise in early. Besides I traded my early shift today and I will work the late shift. The other girl has a boy that plays sports and she needed to go to something tonight. Kat I used to go every morning and get my mom her coffee, take her to the shower and get her cleaned up, bring her back and put her in the chair while I stripped her bed and put new sheets on. I would then put her in bed and than I would head off to work. I did this not because the nurses didn't have the time to. I did it because I knew this was my mom's routine in the morning. And if mom is happy, then everyone is happy. And the nurses knew it. On the few days that I couldn't get there in the morning, they were so happy to see me after work. lol. Good luck. Tracy, we are your sounding board and are here for you. Let us know what is going on. Have you had your stress test yet? Jenn, how cool of you to go for the firefighting and emt training. That is something I always wished I had gotten into. I'm just not smart enough to learn all that stuff. I have a had time just remembering my CPR training. Good luck to you and I hope you get the chance to get this done. Michelle, how is work going? Any more with the new boss? Terri, what's the news on your procedure? I hope all went well. Hi everyone else. Have a great day.

Hey, went out to breakfast after work with a bunch f friends, we had such a good time. We do this about every 3-4 months. I actually met these girls when I went to work at Curves. They were there every M-W-F at 6am and we all became real good friends and have remained close all these years. We get together for special occasions and breakfast. Came home and crawled into bed and hubby and I watched a movie, almost. We didn't get to finish it. We had to leave for his eye appointment. Holy Cow, did you know it takes 3 hours to do an eye examine. Home now and resting. We will finish the movie at dinner time tonight. That's may day and I'm sticking to it. The girls at the hospital want to know if I'm coming to work this week. Still don't know. I'll wait till Wednesday and see how I feel.

Morning Girls, Ugh, back to work. Not liking this right now. Too early in the morning for me. Looks like I got used to sleeping in and being lazy. Angela, Lake of the Ozarks is about a 3 hour drive from here. Most of it is Hwy driving but when you get down into the Ozark area of it, it is real hilly with lots of twist and turns and ups and downs. Heads are diffenetly bobbing around. Storms today and the humididty is supposed to be out of control this week. I'm 6 days away from being in the pool. I can hardly wait. I'll check in later. Have a great day everyone. Good Luck Terri. Thinking of you.

Hi guys, we are home and exhausted. What a great time we had. As soon as I go thru the pictures that I took I will post some. Most of everyone spent a lot of time floating in the lake. I was so jealous but it looked like so much fun. Our Uncle was so surprised to see us and I had pictures for him of my parents at his place about 50 years ago. He was so over happy to have them for his collection. This morning we woke up before my sis and BIL did so we took off and went exploring. We drove over the dam and came back and parked and went shopping in some of the novelty shops there. Didn't buy anything but did see a few cute things I thought would look good out on the deck. So we headed back to the Motel and they are up, showered and dressed and ready to go. We take off and head back a different way. This road was more winding and roller coasting, so it was very hard on the back. I was really glad when we were thru with that section of the hwy. About 6 years ago hubby and I were driving thru that same spot and there was this Amish place that was selling outdoor furniture. We stoppped to look and ended up buying a 2 seater divided glider for the deck. Love it, Love it, Love it. The most used piece of furniture we own. Hubby and I sit in it all summer long. So we are going by this place and I'm telling my sis about it and she makes a u-turn and we head back to it. We are walking around looking and I see the neatest wood table for out on the deck. It has a tag on it that says $69.00. So I ask her if she thinks that if I offer the guy maybe $55. would he take it. She said it would be worth a try and I asked her if she would ask her hubby to do it. He's one of those guys thats a real good talker. So he goes in and offers the $50. for it and they guys says "Sold". I was so excited I ended up buy a few other things, lol. However, there was this outside tall chair that I went over and sat in and almost couldn't get out of it. I was so relaxed and it fit me so good. They wanted $220. for it. We were thinking that maybe we could talk him down to maybe $190. but right now with our trip coming up I just didn't want to spend that much money. You know they have been there for years so maybe next year we can go back and get it. Then my whole deck will have their furniture on it. Left there and got to Sedalia and it started pouring down rain on us. For you that have Facebook, I sent a pic there of it. It was kind of scary there for a little while but by the time we got home it cleared up. I did alot of walking while I was gone. We had doggie with us so that help. But I also did a lot of crappy eating. Junk was mostly what I ate. So I'm not going to WW tomorrow. Now way. Terri, sounds like things are going well for tomorrow. I will say a prayer for you that things turn out ok. I'm really stoked about your LB surgery. It is going to be so nice having someone on here that will bring back that new feeling to us. It will help remind me what I felt like when I was first banded and how I followed the Docs orders and actually lost weight. Bless you for helping me out. Keeping my fingers crossed for you that all goes well and smoothly. Michele, so glad to hear what your boss said about you. That should have given you a big laugh and a big relief. Kat, how's MIL getting along so far? Cool deal on the filing cabinet. Lucky draw. Cindy, I will keep you Dad in my prayers. I will also say a quick one for you that you continue to have the strength to help him get thru all of this. Good Luck. Good to be back home.

Michele, sounds like you guys are finding your way with each other. He's trying to get comfortable with you and all of his employees. I' don't envy him for his job, it's a tough to be boss and friend. You'll both find a good routine and all will be fine before you know it. We are headed out the door soon. Going to "Lake of the Ozarks" for a huge party. I reserved a room at one of the hoels. Actually it is a suite that sleeps 6. Sis and BIL are going with us and we are taking Doggie. It was the only place we could find that accepted pets. Anyway, my Uncle bought this piece of land and has built it in to a wonderful place for all to enjoy. He bought it 50 years ago and they are holding a celebration this weekend for it. Every year in July has been cousin weekend where all the kids come down and swim, play, eat, swim, boat, fish, swim eat, swim and sleep for the weekend. We have spent so much time time there and just enjoy the tranquility of the place and the enjoyment of a wonderful Uncle. So off we go to visit and enjoy one more time at the Lake. Have a great weekend and I'll check in when we get back.

Kat, so glad to hear that thing went even better than what was hoped for. You might think about this, while she is in the hospital being taken care of I would take care of you and the house. Then be there for her when she gets home and when everyone else goes home and leaves them. You can come thru then and Rick will be able to help out while he is off work. I do that with my sister. While she is in the hospital I stay home because I know when she gets out that I will be really busy. She is a very needy person and doesn't take in to consideration what we have going on. So I use the time that she is being taken care of to take care of my stuff and then be ready for her. I baked 2 different kinds of cookies this evening and made a batch of brownies. We have a big, big party to go to this weekend and I need to get some stuff out together to take. I think I'll either buy a veggie tray or make one to take also.

Back from the Doc's office. Actually I don't get to see the surgeon, it's his 2 apprentices that I see. Anyway, they piled a bunch of restrictions on me. Holy Cow. It'll be ok tho. Just was hoping that this was all over and I could move on. Good news is that I can get back in the pool in 2 weeks. WooHoo. I go back in one month and then after that another 3 months. But I am so thankful to be up and walking that it's all good. I'll take it. Came home and took doggie for a walk. They are calling for rains later today and I wanted to get my walks in. After I got home I called the Band Doc and it will be Aug 16th before I can get in to see him. I would like to get a little fill but I was also wanting to find out about this surgery for my hiatal hernia. That's getting close to our trip and I don't want to have any surgeries so soon to going. Hopefully he'll wait till this fall to do it. Hope all is going well with Kat's family today.

Good Morning. Kat, good luck with your MIL's surgery today. I hope all goes well for her and for the family. Terri, How's the pre-op going? Tough? Hang in there, it will be overwith before you know it. Michelle, I hope for you that it is just openeing jitters for this manager. You seem to have a lot of patience with him. Hang in there but if not I would look into the hardware store and see what they have to offer. Having sister drama already this morning. UCK... I have my last appointment (I think) with the back surgeon today. Everything looks good and I'm feeling great so I think I'll probably be done. I'm gonna miss seeing him. I owe him a great big hug. Really more than that but that's all he's getting. Then it's back home and back to bed to rest some more. Besides it's supposed to rain this afternoon. So it looks like a day for hubby and I to watch a movie and rest. We watched one last night, "Last house on the Left". Very graphic and ending was not anything I expected. Have a great day.

Just got back from a one mile walk. It is totally yuck out there. It's in the lower eighties but the humidity is at 98% and there is not a breeze to be had. Glad I got that over with. Hopefully later after it rains again I can go one more time.

I was in laying on the bed in the computer room, hubby was on the computer. TV going, just relaxing. The news was on and they were doing a segment on people texting while driving and how Moms are now the leading ones doing the texting. All of a sudden my text goes off on my phone. I had to giggle. It was Tracy. She was wanting to know how I was doing. We chatted for a little bit and then she said the cable guy showed up, so hopefully she will be on-line soon. She said she is sore from moving but holding up ok. I did work last night and by the end of my shift I was ready to go home and get in bed, which I did. This morning I got up and just felt lazy. Back is kinda sore so I decided to crawl into the bed in the computer room and watch tv with hubby. Kat, that is horrible what you MIL went thru with the Doc. What a creep. Not sure what I would have said to him. My sis has spent the last 2 days at the hospital with her friend that had surgery Monday. She said the head nurse was horrible. She said there were 2 patients on the floor and this lady was mad because she had to work on the day after a holiday. The nurse came into Pams room and she told her to get out until she got an attitude adjustment, to send the aide in from now on. Good for her. I can honestly say that in the last month that all that I went thru with the cancelled surgery and test that I have no complaints with anyone. I met some of the most compassionate people and very nice and cheerful people. I truly had it lucky. Several times I could see the potential for problems, especially with such stressfull situations but I choose to be positive and get thru this the best that I could. And it worked. I had wonderful nurses and care takers. I'm home and healing and getting better with each day. Think I'll go take a walk before it starts to rain again. See ya soon.

Morning, up and getting ready to head out the door. Sis has a Doc appointment that I need to take her too. Then it's back home for me. I'm actually going back to work this afternoon. They were short someone for today so I told them I would give it a try. We'll see how it goes. If all is well then I will go back to work on my regualr schedule next monday. Looks like a few things are getting back to normal. This thursday I go back to the Docs to have them check the Hematoma. Hopefully all is well. Till then it's been sponge baths and washing my hair in the kitchen sink. I'll be glad to get back in the shower and do a good scrubbing. Hope Tracy is all moved in. We should be hearing from her soon. Be back soon.

Long boring day. My back has hurt most of it. I'm wondering if it is all the rain that we are having that is causing it. I'm gonna take some pain meds and head to bed early. I actually have not taken any pain meds in 2 days so I'm doing ok on that part. WW's didn't go as well as I was hoping but it wasn't as bad as it could have been. Since before my surgery I only gained 4 pounds. I showed them my scar and they were all amazed that I was even there. I sat for most of the meeting but then had to get up and stand for the rest. I took my pillow in with me. See ya all in the morning.

Well, the rain held off till right around 9:30pm. At that point you should have heard them trying to light them off as fast as they could. I headed to bed at 10 and I could still hear a few of them going. But all in all, I think it turned out a good day. Now it is rain. It rained all night and they expect it to rain for the next 3 days. That will wreak havoc with my walking. Just I'll just have to ready and catch it when it stops long enough. I'm going back to WW's this morning. I haven't been in about 3 weeks. I'm preparing myself for a shock and then hoping it won't be too bad. I know I have gain, I'm just hoping that it won't be something that I can't get back under control in the next few weeks. I do think that I will make an appointment to go get a small fill. Hope you all had a great weekend and a safe one.

Happy 4Th. of July to You. Hope it's a great one. They are calling for off and on rain all day today, so we will have to wait to see how our day goes. We don't have anything planned. Looks like a lot of TV watching. Have a safe day.

The Oreo dessert was a hit and everyone wanted more.We had such a good time and I really love their new home. I felt real comfortable there, like I was meant to be there. Kinda makes me want to move. But we all had a good time. Got home and nephew and the kids were here swimming. We sat outside and chatted with them and then started the grill up. I fed them and they took off. They had plans for a friends place for later. Abby wasn't with them so it was ok. We have had off and on rain this evening. Now they are saying it will be questionable for tomorrow nights fireworks. Glad I'm not buying any. And we have grilled for the last 2 days so I'm thinking it might be a taco night. That way everyone can eat when they want. I'll just have it all in tubs.

Morning Girls. Up and have my Oreo cookies and pudding dessert thing made and a batch of brownies cooling. We have a party to go to this afternoon. They are doing all the cooking and I asked what I could bring and he said something chocolate and gooey and rich. I think I have it covered. They are calling for off and on showers for all day tomorrow. We are getting what is left of Alex. Hopefully it will stop long enough tomorrow evening for everyone to do their fireworks. We usually sit on the front porch or in the driveway and watch everyone elses. I bet between all of the families they spend well around a $1,000. So we just watch and enjoy. Tracy. if I hear anything I will call or text you. Have a safe move and can't wait to hear from you Tuesday. Have a great weekend.

Tracy, I'm sure moving in the rain sucks, but can you keep it? We will be getting that rain on the 4th. Oh well. They will still shoot them off. Kat, That surprises me about Kinsey likeing naps. Most kids want to act like grown-ups and not take naps. I know Abby is that way. She doesn't like quiet time. How is the guy that was in the motorcycle accident? is he getting any better? Hi, Jenn. We sure have missed you around here. Michelle, I left my last job because of all the drama. It actually caused me to have to take blood pressure medicine. Several months after I left I got to come off of the meds. And how sad that it started so early in everyone getting to know each other. I hope it all settles down. Angela, so glad to hear about the surgery being over and he's doing good. To bad there is one more to go. Isn't it funny how kids bounce back like that. Wanting to get involved in football so soon. Keep us posted on how he does. Cindy, have fun at your family reunion. Alligator picante??? Not sure I want to try that one. Well, I went over to talk to the next door neighbor. It was a good talk and I hope a productive one. We should know in the next few days. Later, her and her daughter came over and swam for anout 2 hours. We had such a good time. I could see the relief on her face. Tomorrow we are going to a friends house for a small get together. We will be back in the afternoon. Sunday we are staying home an if it doesn't rain, we will watch everyone elses fireworks. They usually last till about 11pm. That's about it for us. If you are traveling this weekend, be safe. Have a great time. Hugs.

Any news from Angela yet? I hope all went well. Long busy day here. Just lots of housework that I haven't been able to do for weeks. Now that I have my staples out I'm thinking I can do anything. I'm thinking about getting a fill in the next few weeks. So far I haven't had any problem with the hiatal hernia since I had the unfill of 4cc's so I think maybe a .5cc should help a little. We are staying home for the 4th. It gets really crazy here from the 1st. to the 4th. Closer we stay to home the better we feel. Maybe keep our house from burning down. There have been some really wild things happen around here with the neighbors. I think they are calling for a slight chance of rain anyways.

Busy day for everyone. Michelle, How did your orientation go? Hope you enjoy your new job. Tracy, have you ever used Freecycle? I love it. I have gotten rid of a lot of things that I would have paid to have taken to the dump. It's great, check it out. Kat, hope you got your house cleaned, that's that never ending job. Last night when I was watching tv, I was sitting in the chair kind of cockeyed. I just have to find what is comfortable. Well, when I went to bed I notice a big bump right at the surgery site. I was thinking that because it did not hurt or was not warm or hot that maybe the way I was sitting just kinda pushed some muscle and fat there and it would straighten out over night. So this morning I noticed that it was still the same and I had hubby look at it. He said I think you need your sister to look at it, somethings wrong. I go to her and she suggest that I call the Doc's office and see if I can get in today instead of tomorrow. I call and I can come in at 11am at his office over in Kansas. So we hightail it and get dressed and moving. We got there right at 11 and they took me in and took a look. They called another guy in to look at it and it was decided that I had a (sp?) Hematoma. They needed to take a needle and drain the blood and they also needed to lance a section to drain. Oh and while they were at it they removed my staples. They put me on 2 different antibiotics and I have to go back in a week to have them check it again. They said other than that, that everything else looked really good. I can go back to work in 2 weeks or when I feel up to it. Swim in 2 weeks and just do things as I feel like I can do them. But the best news we got was that the biopsy report came in yesterday and it it turned out to be a ganglion cyst. They were very happy and hubby and I were exstatic. I have a lot of people to say thank you too for all the prayers I received for that one. So a BIG Thank You to all of you for your thoughts and prayers. I owe you all a big hug when I see you. Have a great evening and I'll chat at you soon.

Hubby ask why I have fans going in the bathroom all the time. It helps keep down the moisture. I just have the real little fans that you can clip on to things. One is clipped on to a little shelf I have hanging by the mirror. It is pointed towards the celiing so it's not blowing on you, just keeps things circulating. It really comes in handy during the humid months. But most of all it keeps the moisture down and we don't get the pealy paint or mold going. Boy, I'm feeling it this morning. All that walking. I can tell in my hips the most. But I'll get back out today and keep going. I love to walk, just wish my feet would hold up better. We have a trip to Wal-Mart to do today. We are low on a few things and need to get stocked back up. Other than that it's a hang around the house day again. I stopped by work yesterday to get my paycheck. I also wanted my boss to see my incision. I wanted her to know that if I'm not back to work soon that this is why. It's a lot bigger than what we thought it would be and she now knows that I can't sit for to long in one spot and won't be able to do all the cleaning I used too. Hopefully around the 12 of July I can return. But it was so good to see some of the customers. They were so full of questions. I would have stayed and chatted with the but my nephew was out in the car waiting on me. Make it a good one. I did really good yesterday but I broke down and had some FF popcorn last night. I'll do better today. And more water. More water. More water..........
