Good Morning. Terri, My Doctor's office hands out eating utensils for us to use. They are child size but have adult size handles. They are actually kind of nice looking. Not much going on in my world today. It's supposed to rain this afternoon. I've got the ham bone cooking in water right now so I can use it to make some Ham and Beans with. I'll make some corn bread. Hope the family enjoys it. I did bad with the ice cream last night. I had such a good food day and than ruined it last night. Thought I might go walk it off this morning but I really need to geive my ankles a rest today. 3 straight days of a mile or more walk is taking it toll. Everyone have a great day.

Colorado- Welcome and I will add my support for "I wish I had done this sooner". I Love my band and you will too. One other thing I would recommend is hanging out here as much as you can. These girls have gotten me thru more than they will ever know. We went to a retirement party today and believe it or not but I didn't eat anything. Hubby said with me not eating and him not smoking we just don't know what to do with ourselves yet. LOL. I'm one for having wallpaper in my house in a few rooms. I don't really like to hang it, but I enjoy taking it down. Did my in-laws house after they passed away. I did a few other houses also. I just seem to enjoy it. Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Did a 45 minute workout at Curves than came home and grabbed the dog and went for a 1 mile walk. I'm done exercising for the day. Tracy, I am so into the seperating the colors on M&M's and also Skittles. Judy, I'll be over as soon as I can. Here is my odd quirk. I love to take wallpaper down. I'm a pro at it. Maybe I should start a business.

Terri, I have some very sad news for you. I am a huge baseball fan. Hubby and I spend hours sitting on the deck listening to the "Boys in Blue" losing. I even have one of those foam finger things I wear. Even though I grew up at Dodger Stadium and they are my first love, I'm still a huge Royals fan. I too will keep you posted on scores. Go Royals, Go Royals, Go Royals.

Kat, was great to wake up this morning to find you feeling alot better. Still keeping you in my prayers. And thanks for sharing the information about getting stopped up. Never know what might happen in the future. Tracy, Woohoo. 2 weeks. Congrats. Hubby is going thru his PMS stage right now. I threatened to get him some Midol. He said several times he almost grabbed for a cig. He's 11 days smoke free. The only weird thing I can think of that I do ritually is I have to have my bottle of apple juice every morning. Even take them on vacations with us. I'm sure I have one or 2 more, just can't think of them right now. Does shopping at wal-mart just ONCE a month count? We have a retirement party to go to today. It starts at 1pm and goes to 11pm. ?????? That's a long party. We will probably go around 3 and stay for a few hours. Everyone have a great day.

Fixed a crock pot full of ribs today and they actually came out pretty good. Was kind of surprized. Easy enough to do also.

Kat, keeping my fingers crossed that the warm tea does the trick. What an awful thing to have to be going thru. I haven't had any issues like this or even close to it. This is one reason why at my last appointment we decided not give me a fill. I had lost 10.5 pounds since 6 weeks before and I told him I was feeling comfortable. I have never had any issue with PB'ing or throwing up and I'm not wanting to start. Hang in there and keeping you in my thoughts.

Good Morning. Up and slowly about this morning. I at least have taken my shower. Today is a work day than I have to take my sister shopping. Other than that I'm free for the rest of the day. Yesterday I went to "Shoe Carnival" and got the buy one get one half off, so I bought 2 new pairs of walking shoes. Came home and put one pair on and took the dog fr a mile walk. It felt great. Just exactly want I needed. I'm going to try putting some ribs in the crock pot and see how it goes. I've never done this before so not sure how they will turn out. I'll keep ya posted on them. Everyone have a great day.

I'm having the same problem.

Kat, I'm sending you a very gentle Hug. Hope it helps.

Good Morning Girls. Just woke up and need to get my day going. Feeling better so I must be over the little flu bug I had. Glad about that. Wednesdays are my busy day day with working in the morning and than going into work at the hospital in the evening. You know those commercials where they show the credit card calling someone because there was an unusual charge made on their card? Last night after we got home from our shift there was a message from our credit card company wanting us to call them immediatly. I gave them a call and lo and behold someone tried to use our card number for a $10,000 charge. They wanted to know if we were actually the ones that were doing this. I told her not in a million years. She said it didn't go thru, that it was just an attempt. They have canceled our card and are going to reissue a new one. Scary. About 5 years ago someone got into our checking account and was using it to order porn. That was a hassle. They had to close all of our accounts at the bank and reissue everything. Had to wait for new checks and check cards. Hubby nad I are off to go shopping. Still attempting to find some new tenny's. Maybe I can get him to take me to lunch also. Chili's, here I come. Everyone have agreat day. Welcome Margi. Glad to have you aboard.

Didn't check in yesterday and sorry about that. Not feeling real good. Think it might be some kind of stomach flu. Doing a lot of sleeping. I'm up early this morning, it's my morning to open the store at 6am. Laura, Don't slack on getting the medical attention. You need to find out what is going on. Good Luck to you. Everyone have a great day.

Kat, That's great news about your Dad. Too bad it couldn't have been a soup and salad place you passed by. I've had 125 ounces of water today. I feel like I'm floating. Sister made burritos for dinner so I had a small one. Earlier I had a 1/4 cup of peanuts and had about 4 lifesavers. I think I'm somewhere around 700 calories for the day. Tomorrow I'll try to get at least 1000 calories. Just not up to par this evening. I took some cold meds and think I'll head to bed early. Everyone have a great evening.
-
Judy, I would follow the exercises at work but I already workout at work. That's one good thing about having this job. Crystal, Welcome. Just chime in when you get the chance. Today I have had 70 ounces of water already. Yogurt for breakfast. 1/2 cup of cottage cheese and pineapple and a hard boiled egg for lunch. Am I doing ok? Have a great day.

Tracy, I'm also thinking about calling the Doc to see about a little fill. I didn't get one when I went to see him last Wednesday. We decided I didn't need it at the time. I'm sure I still don't need it. It's just a head game with me right now. I just need to quit thinking I'm hungry. Need to just quit putting things in my mouth that shouldn't be going in there. You can do this also. I have faith in both of us. Stay away from the cigs. You have made such strides and it would be bad for your mental state to pick that nasty habit back up. I'm just as proud of you as I am of my hubby for quiting. Hang in there girl.

Good Morning everyone. A new week is starting and this means a new start for all of us. Liquids, Liquids and more Liquids. We can do this. Especially together. Hang in there.
-
Welcome Crystal. Join in when you can. I'm all in for the liquid diet and I'm shooting for all week. Jenn and Judy, you need to keep me going. I'll need the extra help this week. Our Sunday was wonderful and so was the food. My sister and attended Mass and I was also one of the Eucharistic Ministers for the Mass. Ended up sending food home with everyone which will really help out. I got lots of compliments today. I guess spending a little extra time on my hair paid off. NSV. I discovered today that I have very boney elbows. And I found that out when I found that my thighs were hurting form my elbows digging into them. It's amazing, I actually have thighs to put my elbows on now. I even find myself putting my hands on my knees and pushing off when I stand up. Never was able to do that before. Glad everyone had a great day and hope that this is just the starting to a very wonderful week for us all. Jenn and Judy, hope we get more to join us on the liquids this week.

I just read on Yahoo News that Americans but 1.9 billion dollars worth of Easter Candy. Well, 1.8 Billion is sitting in my front bedroom. I'm in jelly bean heaven.

TracyK- What a great job you are doing. It is now day 6 of Hubby being smoke free. I know from experince how hard it is to quit and to stay that way. There were lots of times I would have killed for a smoke. It just takes a little while to really get it out of your system. You can do it. I have faith in you.

Pam- I like to unwrap the Peeps and let them sit out for awhile and get that little crusty on the outside of them. Hmmm Hmmm Good. OMG, The Garden, Lawn and Flower show is at Bartle Hall next weekend. Is Spring almost here? Warm weather? No more snow????????
-
Janie- Yuck. Hope you get up feeling better today. Take care of yourself. Pam- I just love hearing about how you and Suzanne are such a good match. It's always nice to hear of a good love story. Hugs to both of you. Kat- Once I decided to take my husband out to L.A. to visit my old neighborhood. We ended up taking my neice and nephew with us so that we could drop them off at their Uncles. They had never met each other and this was a chance for them to get to know the other side of the family. At the time Luke was 5 and Amy was 3 years old. We had a blast with them on this trip. People always look at us like "were you out of your mind for taking kids that were'nt yours on vacation". They were so well behaved and we had a great time with them. Nothing like seeing the world thru the eyes of the young. It was wondeful showing them things like the Grand Canyon and the Painted Desert. Anyway we were coming into Tucumcari. and it was getting close to dinner time. The kids wanted pizza, so we found a Pizza Hut and pulled in. We walked in and there was the sign saying "Wait to be seated". So we stood there, and they saw us. We waited and waited. Meanwhile looking around, there was only 2 tables taken up. No one else in the restaurant. We waited and waited. You could see that they knew we were there. All of the employees were Native Indian. I'm light skinned and light blond. Hubby is about the same. After about 15 minutes the door opened up and in walked another family of Native Indians. They had no choice now but to seat us. So we finally got a table and some water. They waited on the other family that had come in after us. Hubby and I wanted to leave but the kids were set on pizza. Finally the waitress came over and took our order and Amy blurted out that she was going to "Disneyland". The waitress started talking to the kids and actually started to warm up to us. When she found out that we were from Missouri she started asking all kinds of questions. Her brother was stationed at Fort Leonard Wood and she wanted to know a few things about the area. We ended up getting really good service after that. We ate and left. Got to the car and I told my husband that that was what discrimination felt like. We were being treated differently because we were not one of them. Little did they know that Luke and Amy are part Apache. You can tell it in them know that they are older. Their great grandfather was a Great Apache Chief. His name escapes me right now. I have heard stories of the drinking problems among the Indians. I remember seeing trucks that would come into Farmington caring the whole family in the back along with the family goat. I have a lot of memories of that area but I'm sure so many things have changed since then.

I'm safe. Didn't go. But I am very very sad. Just found out that my favorite Easter candy made the most fattening list. "Peeps". Does life get any better than that. Second favorite is black jelly beans. Gotta have them. We were told that Indian woman could tell when they were pregnant that if there something wrong with their child and if there was they would go out into the wild and deliver it. They would leave it out there for the animals. Supposedly some would survive and be raised by the animals. They would learn to run around on all fours. They would live in the caves along the river beds. If you were out hunting of fishing and ran into one of them you were not to look them in the eyes. I don't remember what would happen to you if you did. I know this sounds like a wild story but when your eight years old and in an unfamiliar place, it can seem true.

Somebody stop me, I'm on my way to Dairy Queen. I Need to get a Butterfinger Blizzard. It might even be a large one. Here I go. By.

Kat- Years ago, I mean a long time ago. We visited some friends in Farmington. We stayed for several days and had the most wonderful time. They took us fishing and camping and showed us all over. We went to Four Corners and Shiprock. But one thing that I will always remember was a story that they told us about and old Indian lore. It was about "Skinny Runners". Do you know what I'm talking about? I have never met another person that knew about this. Wasn't sure if they were pulling my leg or if this is all true. Let me know if you know this story, Ok?
