Tracy... I get in those "moods" also from time to time... my family knows to straighten up & fly right when I do!! I'm still thinking that a visit to Pam in the winter would be nice... & warm!! Well, I'm about 3/4 of the way through my closet + Xmas organizing... phew! I'm taking a break. I've tried on about 10 pair of jeans that I didn't realize I even had... I started in 26/28 bottoms and now, based on my "research" today, I'm in tight but wearable (& I think maybe they're not "tight" but I'm just used to wearing stuff too big?) 20s!! Amazing! I've got a big bag of nice stuff to go to my sister's church's thrift shop & another big bag to take to the "Planet Aid" box in town & a big plastic bin w/some smaller sizes + spring/summer stuff that *might* fit next year but I hope will be too big by then. (I'm actually concerned about the WDW trip in Feb & having enough to wear that's warmer-weather appropriate! Yikes!) Ok... enough stalling... time to finish up... & then tackle either our bathroom (yuck!) or bedroom... what a day!

Good Sunday Morn, Vi's~~ We didn't get the storm... just rain... yay! I am not a winter wonderland type of gal... give me sun & fun any day!! Good luck to all of you who are getting it!! A quiet day planned for today -- NO appointments/games/errands to do! Amazing! But will be cleaning/organizing & making my FINAL Xmas list & plan of attack to get it all done next week. I've been eating out-of-control since Thursday... am going to TRY to do shakes today & get back to my "routine" eating this week... not getting on the scale... I guess if we get through the holiday season w/out a gain, that is an accomplishment, huh?? (Think what it would've been on Jan 1 if we WEREN'T banded!! ) Make it a great day, everyone!! Oh, PS -- DS didn't make the third cut after yesterday's try-out... but we are so very proud that he tried & of how far he DID make it.

ANNOUNCEMENT!~~ I received my SS gift today!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was sooooo excited! Actually, the kids were, too! When I drove up to the house, ds comes running over to the car & said "Your Secret Santa gift is here!" It was so cute!! And it was from... drumroll please........................ Kat! :Banane20: :Banane20: It was a big box filled with all sorts of wonderful items... I will have ds take a pic over the weekend & I'll post it... and THE BEST PART -- I called Kat to thank her and we had a WONDERFUL conversation!! We did it -- we jumped the divide between cyberspace & reality!! It was so neat to hear her voice... and Kinsey's too!! What a great day... thank you so much again, Kat!!!

Good Friday Morn, Vi's!~~ Wow! Tracy & Laura... you both look FABULOUS!! Hi Everyone! Yesterday was a nice day... baked 12 pumpkin breads while the tree twinkled & the Christmas music played... felt all cozy & warm... & my Mom arrived and after dinner we all went to ds's winter concert and he had 2 sax solos (proud mama alert!) and then we went to Coldstone & I indulged in a kids' size pumpkin pie but oh my it was so good & I enjoyed it & do not feel guilty at all actually and then mom spent the night & she's still here now... I love my Mom! Today will be a busy day of going here & there & everywhere up & down between DC & here... phew! Some kind of Winter storm is predicted for us Sat nite - Sunday but they have no idea what... "Winter Mix" is what they say when they can't FOREcast the weather... they're more like weather reporters here... they tell us what happened AFTER the fact... ha ha ha! Rough work if you can get it! But I'll go to the store to stock up on bread, milk, TP just in case!! Ok, gotta dash... make it a great day, everyone!! Oh! PS--- 8 weeks 'til our Disney trip!!!!!!!!!! Sshhhhhhh! It's a secret! So I have no one to count down with... but inside, I'm very excited! TTFN!

Woo Hoo! Just found out that ds made it through the 2nd cut for the ODP (Olympic Development Program) soccer team! Now he has one last try-out on Saturday... cross your fingers or whatever other "voodo that you do" that he makes it!!

Ditto what Laura said!! Also... for what it's worth... my surgeon's food plan is LOW CARB... we're not supposed to have ANY bread/rice/pasta/potatoes... only carbs from veggies... Specifically, it's 70 g protein, 30-50 g carbs, & 30 g fat... oh, & no fruit the first year... so he'd probably agree w/the author of that... and I know that personally, I feel better & do seem to lose better when I have lower carb levels in my system... I won't lie (not to my Vi's!), I do have the occasional slice of pizza or 1/2 sandwich or pita chips w/hummus... but not much... everyone's different... I say find what works for you & stick w/it!

Good Weds Morn, Vi's~~ Just got back from my last aqua aerobics class of the year... phew! I'm cold & wet sitting here (still have my suit on under my sweats)... but I've got some ebay items coming to a close in the next 10 - 21 mins, and I love watching it at the end... so exciting!... so I'm going to wait 'til they're over & then go jump in a HOT shower!! Everything is plugging along here... nothing major to report... hope everyone is well... worried that some of our number may be in the 1 mill w/out power in the mid-west!! Hope not!! Off to check on my items... I am so easily amused!!!

Oh Yay, Yay, Yay!! I'm so glad you got the package so quickly, Judy! I've been so excited to "read" your reaction -- the pic is wonderful!! I really love the angel ornament... she's got it all going on -- she has a violet dress, she's holding a heart, she's got "2007" on her AND she's an angel -- just like you (ALL) are to me!! I wish I could've gotten one for ALL the violets!! To me, she just symbolizes our year perfectly!! It's true... it IS more fun to GIVE than RECEIVE!!

I'll be out of the house @ 7:45a & not back 'til... I'm not sure... 4pm probably?? I'm not used to that AT ALL... but have meetings & stocking shopping (which for me is meandering @ as many places as it takes & finding cute/funny/useful items to stuff them with) & lunch w/my bff, picking up the kids, etc & so on... Tracy, y'know... I read about all the foods folks say they can't eat & I think there must be something wrong w/me because, honestly, I can eat anything. There's nothing I'm scared to try. Now, sometimes I get stuck on something, but usually it's not the item... usually it's because I took too big a bite or ate too quickly. Eggs, chicken, steak, bbq, rice, bread, even quesadillas! -- it all goes down! Also, I get full quickly, obviously, so I don't eat a LOT of anything... but I am not "afraid" of anything... EXCEPT Wheat Thins! -- That was my most HORRIBLE PB EVER!!! & I'll never eat them again... but other crackers... sure. Odd, huh?

Aaaaaah... a cruise! In winter! That's the life!! Bask in the sun for me!
