Hey TracyKS... my .02... I wax my "brooke shields on steroids" eyebrows but BLEACH the hair on my upper lip... I just don't think I could stand having it look "stubbly" at all... wouldn't that draw more attention to it??... so I do the Jolen cream bleach @ home... in private... every couple weeks... Jenn -- The capris arrived on Sat but I didn't get home 'til late yesterday afternoon & then had company coming for the game, so I haven't tried them on yet... am planning to this a.m. & hope they fit -- THANK YOU! :eek:

Good Sat Morn, Vi's~~ A quick catch-up read before I head out to for the B'day Weekend... I, for one, am *NOT* going to be able to participate in Terri's FABULOUS no-junk day as that is all we're going to be having today... but I'm ok w/it and plan on having just a bit of whatever and then going "no junk" tomorrow thru next Friday dinnertime... all bets are off after that! It's all been planned... enjoy today... shakes & lots of exercise toomorrow - Friday... then enjoy the trip (but we'll be walking TONS, which I can't wait to record on my bodybugg to see exactly HOW much one walks when at WDW)... then back to "reality"... whatever THAT is, lol... Good Fri Morn, Vi's~~ I got to sleep in an extra hour this a.m. as we had an ice storm last night & school's were delayed 2 hours... but then they changed to "cancelled" and the phone started to ring w/folks calling to see if we'd heard the "good" news! (Note: It's only "good" news if you're a kid who GOES to school... for us moms... not so good! :party: So of course I've picked up an extra kid to watch for the day already... trust me, it won't be long 'til I've got 5 or 6 kids here... that's the way it goes! It's cuz' I'm so FUN! Altho, it's already warming up & turning to rain... oh well............. This weekend is my mom's 70th b'day weekend. My aunt, 2 sisters, her bff (literally!), and I are going to make it a girl's weekend & pj party @ her house. I leave early tomorrow morning & will come back on Sun in time to do a quick housecleaning & cooking for Superbowl! It should be fun... all of us together gabbing & drinking & knitting (how lame are we??) & eating... the big excitement will be GOING to a movie (v. renting a dvd) AND ordering in "fancy" pizza! My mom is too, too funny... it's her b'day & this is what she wants to do... so we're doing it! Other than that... everything is same old, same old... same old weight (241-ish... up 1 down 1 up 1 down the same 1)... same other stuff going on... Oh -- today I have to bake my mom's all-time fav cookies... they're so good but so messy/time-consuming to make... even my sis couldn't believe I was going to do it... but hey -- the lady is 70!... & we all love them... it'll take me all day & they'll be gone in an hour! Ha! They're these sourcream based cookies w/grape jelly on them, w/a circle of cookie on top of that... oh yum... Make it a great day, Vi's!

The recipe sounds yum... we're having a few friends over for SB & I told everyone it's an "all-appetizer" menu... I've been eating like crap the past few days... I start out well, but then get off track along the way... so AGAIN today I planned to be good... and have been so far... but now DH just called & wants us to meet him @ Carrabba's for dinner!! YIKES!

Hey All~~ JENN!!!... You've got all my purple power... You're right... this IS your job!! Pam... How did you miss all the posts about the surprise trip?? I go on & on about it... at least it seems that way to me!! DH is going to be in Mexico on a 10-day "photo safari" thing-a-ma-jig, so I wanted to do something fun for the kids so I thought up a surprise 4-day trip to WDW! The way I envision it unfolding is: Next Friday they'll go off to school like normal and I'll pack like crazy & hide everything in the car. They'll come home & I'll say "Let's go grab some dinner & have some fun." (since daddy'll be gone & it's Fri night)... then... I'll drive to the airport! Somewhere along the drive, one of them will ask "Where are we going?" and I'll shout out: "SURPRISE! WE'RE GOING TO DISNEY WORLD!" at which point they'll look at me & say, "No, really Mom... where are we going?" HA HA HA! They won't believe me!! They'll think I'm joking w/them!! So... at that point... I'll hand them each a musical Disney Hallmark card from their Aunt (my little sis) and inside are their Park Hopper passes... THEN they'll believe me! It's at this point that chaos will ensue & happiness will erupt in the car! Then... we fly down to Fla... and who meets us @ the baggage claim but the Aunt who gave them the passes! More fun!! Yay!! I AM SO DING-DANGED EXCITED ABOUT THIS!! Oops... here comes one of them... gotta go... bbl!

I use the salad plates, as well... + the 1-cup little glass bowls... they're great! Ugh... just made a can of tuna w/light mayo & a sprinkle of sunflower seeds and I've only eaten 1/2 and I feel on the edge of a "stick"... not a "pb" quite... but uncomfortable... I've got the loud esophagus gurggling going on... yet my stomach is still growling!... how stupid is that? Sometimes this thing is so wacky!

Good Morning~~ 9 days 'til the trip! Sorry if you're sick of reading about it, but as I can't countdown w/anyone here in RL, it helps me get out the excitement if I can count it down here!! The pressure is building & building inside me... I hope I don't pop before Friday!! Last night I was driving 45 mins home (I was alone) and I kept "practicing" different "scripts" of what I'll say/how I'll "announce" the surprise... I tried this & that... every time, I LOVED that I was able to SHOUT OUT "SURPRISE! WE'RE GOING TO WALT DISNEY WORLD!" It felt soooo good to let it out! + it helped me to develop a general idea of what to say for maximum impact -- as if there's minimum w/this kind of surprise!! I am GIDDY!!! Can you tell?? Enough of that. Another busy day. Today after the Y I get to work on my tax prep for all my various "self-employed" jobs... MK, editing, substitute teaching & Let's Dish!... I love doing what I love, but I hate it at tax time! Make it a great day, everyone!

Hi All... Just got back from copying, collating, stapling & distributing the montly PTA newsletter @ the elem. school... guess I haven't been there in awhile, because EVERYONE was going CRAZY over lil' ol' ME & my weight loss! It was kinda nice! :rolleyes2: It reminded me that I DO look better and that I HAVE lost a lot (I tend to focus on what I still have to lose, not what I've accomplished so far)... it was nice to get those strokes!
