Yeah, just plain canned artichoke hearts are n-a-s-t-y... but the ones that are marinated are wonderful... I put them into pasta salads or even just on regular salads to give them a "greek" flair. I'm not a big fish eater, but yeah, I bet it'd be good on fish. I just got back from doing the weight circuit @ the Y... my arms are all wibbily wobbily now. I am proud of myself for doing well w/eating & exercising this week... why can't I be this self-possessed ALL the time?... Why can't THIS be my norm and the eating badly/not exercising be the exception?? Well... maybe someday it will be! Our family has a "date" tonight to go out for Chinese food w/our friends (the ones w/the dd in the treatment center in UT -- she's home this week for a visit & wants to see us)... so I keep telling myself that I can order hot & sour soup & tea & that's it! If I want anything else, I'll just nibble a few bites of chicken & veggies off someone else's plate! That's my plan!! Make it a great night, Vi's!

Lunch time!! Yum yum yum!! I just made a single-serving of Terri's chicken/artichoke/parm recipe using rotisserie chix and it is AMAZING!!! I could eat this all day, every day!! Num num num!! Thanks for posting it, Terri!!

TracyK -- Yes, that is the right attitude... keep on making the right choices because they are right and you know it'll have to show sooner or later!! AND... at least for me... I just feel better mentally/emotionally/physically when I am "on track" than when I am not... and that, my friend, is what it is all about! -- feeling better... or best! KUTGW!

WOOT! Suzie... That sounds like a HOOT! I don't think I could do that boot camp... way to go! Judy... I'm sure she'll be ok... she's got YOU! & you'll help her help herself as needed... it's a tough time... people TELL you it's a big adjustment, but you just can't grasp it 'til you're in it... + then you're sleep deprived... oh yes... I remember when... G'nite ladies!

Good Eve, Girlies~~ Day 3 good eating day... too much running here & there to get to formally "exercise", altho I did walk dd to her bus stop this a.m., which involves a VERY BIG HILL... + all the running around... so I'm ok w/it! Make it a nice night!

Good Weds. Morn, Darlings~~ Suzie... hugs to you & purple power for all you do... be sure to treat yourself extra gently, too!! Judy... I made your corned beef recipe & it was a big hit! Just adding in the mustard (I used spicy brown) & the brown sugar made it yummier. We consumed the whole thing -- & it was more than 4lbs to start!! TracyK... Hang in there, girlie. I know what you mean about the wt... why is it that it goes on so quickly but comes off soooooo slooooowly? Why aren't our top scientific minds hard at work on solving this problem?? Day 3 for me... I am motivated... & for me, that is more than 1/2 the battle! Make it a great one, Vi's!

Forgive me for tooting my own horn (couldn't find a smilie that showed that, so I'll change it to:) Forgive me for banging my own drums, :lunch: but... Yay me for exercising 2 days in a row!! Today I did the weight circuit @ the Y! AND I am eating properly (so far! lol!) too! Baby steps!

Judy, he is just so cute!! Now you're making me melancholy for my baby days... the parts of them where all I had to do was snuggle w/them for hours... I can't wait for my turn to snuggle & love on Carson!! That kid isn't going to know what hit him when the Aunties come to town!!

Sounds great, Jen! Congrats!! Judy, it wasn't stalking, it was taunting! Pam, that procedure sounds awful!! I hope it works!!! Janie, you had all the Vi's w/you in spirit... you always do... never forget!! For example, right now my spirit is in Mexico lounging poolside w/an umbrella drink w/Haydee!! Another regular Tuesday... lots to do as always... make it a good one... remember to wear some GREEN!

Yes, Pam, I do use the 'pod... I HAVE to... it helps to disconnect my mind from the fact that I'm walking for ages... ds has helped old technologically impaired me to subscribe to some podcasts & I only "let" myself listen to them when I'm walking... sneaky, yes??

Ta Da! I went to the Y all by myself & walked on the treadmill for 45 mins! (Man my legs are tingley!) Yay me! I need to get serious about training for the 30-mile MS walk in June. My plan is to walk for increasing lengths of time on M,W,F,S or S, then weights on T & TH... Eating has been good today, as well. Phew.
