I'm home! Arrived about 12:30am. Evan was in the family room, sleeping on the couch w/the tv on "waiting for me". Sweet boy. But then we were up 'til 1:15am chatting! So it's no surprise that he, Claire & I all overslept this morning! :smile: It's dark and pouring rain here today... a perfect "sleep in" day... and when Claire woke up first, she thought maybe school had been cancelled because of the rain! But luckily she woke me up, and we all hustled like mad & I drove them both to school & we made it on time! Phew! It's good to be home? So excited for Laura's news today! My poor "refresh" button is going to get a workout this morn!

I'm hanging out @ the Palm Springs airport, enjoying the beautiful morn & my Sbux. Thank you, Pam & Susanne for a great weekend!

We all need a little time "off," away from our own daily lives/worries/work... and I for one can't wait to get there!! I'm already packing! COCO!

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm... I've got a homegrown tomato tart in the oven & it smells sooooo good! It's the only one I've made all summer! It's a recipe I concocted from a combining my fav parts of a couple other recipes: pie crust, homegrown tomatoes, lightly sauteed onion slices, a bit of cracked pepper, capers, and parmesan cheese. :thumbup: Speaking of recipes... my good friend's brother, who owns a restaurant called Hearth in NYC, is on the new season of "Iron Chef" this Fall! The whole thing has already been completed, but she couldn't tell me if he won or not. When is that show on? I'll have to look it up. I think his name is Marco Canora... they have different names. He's a well-known chef in the NYC area... he's been on The Today Show cooking w/them before & such. Cool, huh? Off to check on my tart...

Hi from the barn. Kids are off school today for primary election day. I had that same hair experience the other day, janie. I just figured they were dumbstruck by my awesomeness. Heh heh. I think I've decided that no matter what, successful wt loss is mostly mental and when it clicks or we're ready, then it'll work. I could have my stomach removed & I'd still be fat if my thinking/ relationship with food didnt change. I agree w Judy that its all about the friendships with you amazing women that has been my biggest success w the band. Love you girlies! Coco

Hey girls... Quick check-in. If it's possible, my busy-ness is amped up even more than usual these days. Work is at full speed, but I love the $$! So if I don't post lots, don't fret, it's just me being busy. I figure I can catch up w/ya'll as we lounge and laze by the pool... I can't wait!!!
