And today's reward for being such a good "single" mom this weekend?... ...getting to go to my annual gyn appointment during lunchtime! :huh2: bleh.

Made it! :smile2: Now just have to get them up, fed, & back to the barn by 9:30am for the all-day jumper show & Halloween party! Phew! :blushing:

10 12 to 14-year-old girls here @ my house for dd's b'day sleepover party... Lord Help Me! Why do they squeal so much? DH went to Florida. DS went to a bon fire. It's just me & them... the odds are not good! If you don't hear from me by Monday, they won!

Another busy day & the last regular season soccer game of the season. DH made a video from Tuesday night's game if you want to check it out... Sending good thoughts & positive vibes to everyone! "coco"

Good morn... Yay Judy... sounds like your back in the land of restriction! I've got to get my head back (again again again...) in the game. With that said, I've already baked a Pumpkin Crunch Cake this morn! (It's for the soccer dinner tonight... but man it smells soooo good!) Happy Birthday Haydee! Pam, I love how you get involved in groups... you're such a leader! & good driving advice! I always assume that the other guy is going to do something stupid -- and sadly, I'm often right! My mom's good advice when I was learning was "Patience." Which comes in handy a lot, too. A heartbreaker of a loss last night in soccer... one more game & then it's into post-season play... always nerve-wracking! DD has callbacks for the play today. My friend's bro is still on the show... at least I think he is... I haven't finished watching Sunday's episode... hope he doesn't get chopped! Enjoy the day!

Good morn... Made it through yest, now it's on to today! I told you that ds got his driver's learner's permit, right? He's been driving little bits here & there (doesn't take the official driving course 'til end of Nov) like in our neighborhood, but yesterday he drove from the house, all the way to the HS! He did ok... there's just so much to driving that we do on autopilot that needs to be explained, such as slowing down when an old couple is turning from the left and one must slow down and merge... ay yai yai! It's the knowing what's going on all around you, and the need for total focus and awareness that are freaking me out! Then after the game, he drove home... first time at night!... and he turned on the windshield wipers when he meant to turn on the turn signal... and I thought potty training was stressful? Ha! Make it a great day!

Oooh, happy fill day, Judy! And of course you rocked it last night! Now through beginning of Nov is even busier than usual for us, if that's possible! :tt2: Today I've already met a friend for our monthly coffee (@ 7:30am!), run several errands, and now it's work work work, clean clean clean (my mom's coming tomorrow), garage door fixer here (cross your fingers, my car doesn't like living outside), dd's singing/dancing audition, then ds's soccer game. Then more work & cleaning, if I can muster up the enthusiasm for it. Oh, and Haydee... why didn't you remind me???... I finally unpacked my carry-on bag from Cali and discovered your charger!!! Mailing it to you was already one of my errands this morning! :thumbup: Sorry!!!!!!! :smile: Everyone make today rock!

I've been having spotty Internet connectivity, which is why I haven't been on a whole lot. + busyness. DH & I went out to dinner w/friends (my friend whose brother's on Next Iron Chef & her bf) at a tapas restaurant last night... pitcher of sangria... lots of tasty nibbles... mmmm... was fun! It's Fall-like weather here, too... love it! Next week is 3 home soccer games, then dd's b'day on Friday, and her slumber party Sat-Sun w/9 girls! Then the first horseshow of the season on Sun. I'm tired just thinking about it all! One foot in front of the other... Hugs to all!

Ha Ha! Irony: Having a big ol' ad for Restaurant Coupons in the middle of a lapband thread! :tt2: Tough soccer game last night, went into double overtime, but still ended tie 2-2. Today is loads of work (Tuesday off? I'm not getting a day "off" work 'til maybe sometime next week... if I'm lucky. wah.)... take dd to riding... take ds to soccer practice, and then jazz band... oooh, there is one good thing -- Coffee w/a friend @ 10am! And so it goes... Make it a good one! xoxo / coco! :smile2:

No, not quite perfect yet... am still tweaking & experimenting... will post the recipe when it's "done"! It's band-friendly for me... warm w/hot coffee... slides right down! Mmmmmm.

A relatively "easy" day today... not much running around! Just work work work, bake cookies for tonight's event, make the other batch of cinn rolls & freeze, LAUNDRY!, then dinner (jambalaya) & to the HS "Academic Excellence" Night, where ds is receiving an award for last year's work. Home, knit (I started dd's vest!), bed! No, no raisins. Just layers of ooey gooey cinnamony goodness. Make it a great day!

Oh dear, all you girls and your colds. Hope you heal quickly! Pam, Happy Induction Day! There are a few yarn shops locally, but it was just easier to order online. The cinnamon buns came out o-kay... not great... still have 1/2 the dough in the 'frig to try again... probably tonight I'll make them and then freeze them to bake next weekend... definitely have some things to tweak. Which is why I'm experimenting. My family likes it when I experiment with food! Wish me luck and PATIENCE today -- am taking DD Fall/Winter clothes shopping! These trips are either good or bad -- no inbetween. Cross you fingers. And toes! Seriously, shopping w/a pre-teen when things don't go well is like hell on earth! DS said the SAT wasn't as bad as I made it out to be... of course, I was trying to scare him into actually prepping for them... see how well that worked for me? His new girl "friend" is here for the first time... turns out her family is Disney-crazy, too! We just spent a lively hour discussing our trips and fav rides, funny stories. Guess she can stay. I'm 1/2way through making a supposedly "easy" recipe for homemade, from scratch, cinnamon buns... we'll see... I'm trying them out as a test run before I make them for dd's b'day sleepover morning in a couple weeks. 10 horse-loving girls. Need lots. I'm starting a sweater vest for dd for Christmas. The yarn arrived the other day, and I've gathered all the needles and such... now just have to roll the yarn & jump in! It's been YEARS, many many years, since I've knit an item of clothing... too many things can go wrong w/sizing... so nervous! Guess that's all the latest from here. Hugs to all!

Good Monday Morn! I'm working this morn, then meeting a friend for coffee & perhaps lunch @ the Mediterranean Grill. mmmmm. Then I pick up dd @ school & take her to the barn to ride, then switch kids & take ds to soccer practice, followed by a team "pasta night" that the parents are hosting. I made a big ol' honkin' tray of "Firehouse Pasta" (penne, meatballs, marinara all mixed together, with a layer of ricotta/moz/parm/seasonings in the middle... sort of a penne/meatball lasagna) and a Mississippi Mud Cake -- figure that'll fill them up! Everyone make it a good day!

The rain is gone, and now it is beautiful crisp Fall weather! Love it! DS's soccer team had another shut-out last night -- yay! DD begins the Fall/Winter horse jumper show series @ the end of the month! It runs Oct - Feb. She's also auditioning for "Seussical the Musical" this month, w/the show performed in April. I'm still trying to catch up (when will I learn that I will *never* catch up?!) w/laundry & the house... ah well, I look at it as job security! A week ago today I was a "chubby" girl in a tiara @ the casino... today I'm still chubby, but no tiara & no casino. Maybe I'll put on the tiara just for the heck of it! :smile2: Everyone enjoy this weekend!

Can it be??? A week ago at this time I was in California??? Time sure does fly, doesn't it?? Judy, I just had this thought at dinner! And it took me by surprise! A week ago enjoying those margi's @ Las Cas... mmmmm. :drool: It was rainy & windy all day today... so I made the first batch of chili of the Fall/Winter season!
