Thanks, gals, for your replies!! In my head I know that what you say is true... just need to hear it from someone other than myself sometimes!! I am not giving up... I will make it through 'til Friday and then get the biggest fill that they'll give me!! The hunger and growling stomach are driving me batty! Pam, I get what you're saying, and that's great for you, but that's not where I am... I WANT to LOSE as MUCH as POSSIBLE as QUICKLY as POSSIBLE... I have no desire to drag out this process any longer than it has to be... I've already had to re-work my end-of-year goal from -85 to -75 and now it doesn't look good for even making the revised goal!! WTF?? I have had patience & I do trust... but I need a little something to keep it going! I am not a happy bander... did I say that already? Well, it's true... So now I'm stuck here in the house w/work all around me -- work work & house work & holiday work -- and I'm in a pissy mood... and my "evil brain" is telling me to chuck it all "just for today" and eat whatever... "what good is being "good" doing you?" -- so now I need to muster up the strength to fight that old inner battle... Wah Wah Wah. Poor Poor Pitiful Me!!!

Ok, just called the doc's office & got in for a fill THIS FRIDAY!!! Phew!

AND NOW MY CAR WON'T START!!! (someone left a door open a teensy, tinsy bit & the light stayed on & ran down the battery!!) So I can't go to my aqua core class!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

Ok, gotta vent... WHY AREN'T I LOSING ANY WEIGHT????????????????????????????????????? !+@_#)$(%*^&!!! I am getting very frustrated! I think I've been patient enough!! It's been 5 weeks & I've lost 2 lbs!! Maybe!! I keep telling myself that it'll come, to just keep eating properly & exercising -- AND I AM!! -- so why isn't it working?????????? I'm getting to a bad point here... I can feel it... & it's worse because of this time of year... bad food abounds... not wanting to go out in the cold to exercise is an easy excuse not to... I don't need this now!!! I am not a happy bander at this moment. 2 more weeks 'til my fill appointment (so much for their friggin' "cancellation" system!!)! I am so frustrated & mad! I don't want this to be it!! While my loss has been good, this is still where a lot of you STARTED!! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr... I am going to work off this frustration @ the Y now... for all the rickin' frickin' good it does me... AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!

Wow, Laura! The paint job looks great! Love the color & being able to take a peek into your home! Your cat is like mine!! Too funny! We have to re-arrange the family room furniture to fit in the tree each year, & they freak out about that, and then they get even crazier when there's a tree in the room! Mine actually chew the lightbulbs!! Stupid cats! But they've never broken one or gotten zapped. I do really think my 1 cat is retarded, btw... but he's a lover... he's sitting right here next to me (he's done "chasing" the curser on my puter screen for the time being... as I said... a bit "slow"). Have done some work... have prepared family room for tree... must do more work and get tree up... onward!

Good Sunday Morn, Vi's~~ Wow! 600 pages on this thread! Are we a chatty group or what??? Loved every click of the keyboard!! This weekend is flying by... I have 2 competing "to do's" today: put up the tree and work. I'm not sure how they will co-exist, but I'm sure I'll pull it off somehow! (I can't work if I'm putting up the tree; I can't put up the tree if I'm working... yikes!) Make it a great one, gals! PS -- Laura... to answer your question... I have no earthly idea what size I am... I currently wear clothes size 14/16 - 28, depending on type & manufacturer! :confused: (granted the 28s are sweatpants that are FALLING off me, but I do still wear them around the house!) I need to measure, I guess... + measure IN the Spanx for the gown... I hate measuring...

I think it's the margarita I had at dinner tonight, but that made me laugh out loud!! Thanks!

Hang in there, Terri!! So glad to hear that your mom is improving! If it makes you feel any better, gals, I haven't done any shopping yet either!! Just lots of list-making! That's one of the drawbacks of being a freelancer... no regular paychecks! It's either feast or famine! But I got a check the other day & it finally cleared my account yesterday, so I'm hitting a couple stores + the Internet TODAY!! Watch out, world -- the Violet's are shopping!!

Good Fri Morn, Vi's~~ Thanks for the input on the dress... I love knowing that I will always get 100% honest input from you, my friends... that's what I want! My body is smaller on top than bottom... my belly/butt/thighs are gi-normous compared w/my boobs... it's a pear-shaped thing... but I do curve in @ the waist, so at least I can say I've got that going for me! I know that I definitely don't want something slinky... & I'd prefer to cover up my bat-wings (so maybe a little jacket or shawl-type thing)... whatever I wear, I'll definitely have to cram myself into some of those Spanx things... most women would love this, but it's stressful for me!! Ack! I like the red the best... I'll keep looking & will post any other "potentials"!! Thank you!! I don't know what it is w/me lately, but I am just crazy jumpy/giddy on the inside! I think it's a combo of Christmastime being upon us, and I love getting the perfect gifts for folks, & baking, & the lights & music... + my Disney secret & thinking/planning for it... or feeling healthier than I have in ages & having more energy... whatever it is, it's nice, but also a bit disconcerting... like I'm just TOO happy/excited about life!! DH & I are going to a "Hooray for Hollywood" Gala @ a historic theater in our town for New Year's Eve... we've NEVER gone out for NYE before (other than to friends' homes to hang out/play games)... I can't remember the last time we had to dress up... this is Black Tie & Gowns... very chi, chi (so why am I, Queen of Keds, going??)... a "Golden Age of Hollywood" theme... w/gaming, movies, dancing, cigar bar, food & drinks... it will be fun, I'm sure... Anyhoo... the point here is... I need a "gown"!! I'm the worst at this kind of thing... want to look GOOD... I've been looking online & found this... what do you think?
