I had a very awkward run in yesterday at work too! I have been pretty open about having the surgery since I work in a very tiny office, and everyone has seen me blending my pre-op shakes . Figured it was just easier than telling half truths. One guy who, to be fair, does not speak English very well came up to me and asked me if I was getting this surgery to be pretty. It took a minute to realize he didn't mean it the way it came out...but OMG it felt horrible and it took A LOT to not slap him! We just have to all stick together!
