Even people who haven't had surgery experience stalls in their weight loss. I think what's important to remember is even if we aren't seeing the scale go down we should be paying attention to other areas of our bodies. I've been experiencing a stall for the last month and half with fluxing up and down the same 3lbs, but I'm seeing changes in my body, my pants are still getting looser and my shirts are starting to swallow me! 1/2 my pants are comfortably loose when I first put them on and I have to have a belt by mid day because I feel as if I'm going to have them around my ankles at any moment. I also stopped and re-evaluated my diet and realized I had slacked on my protein by 20-25 grams daily and by adding my protein shake back as a mid afternoon snack (I was getting dizzy spells and was told my sugars were dropping because I needed protein) My scale has moved past that low flux mark! I'm now down 3 more lbs!

Where can I get tasteless protein powder???
Nin replied to kcf101008's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I use Beneprotein in my coffee in the mornings. It's a bit pricier but I've noticed I can't really taste it much. 1 scoop is 25cal, 15mg sodium, 30mg of Potassium, 0 carbs and 6g of protein. It's got about 32 servings per can and it's like $15 on walgreens website. But I buy it from Amazon in the case. Since I only use it in my coffee a can lasts me about a month and I bought a 6 mo supply for about $60. I've found it's the only one I've tried I can't taste. You will have to mix with a little water first before putting it in hot things or it will curdle. -
How To Make Your Own Nutella...without All The Calories And Fat
Nin replied to georgia girl's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Ok, I wouldn't call it Nutella exactly, but it's a decent chocolate/nut substitute and I would deffinately prefer to eat this with it's lower calories than the real stuff with the high calories. I love Nutella but also am not willing to blow those calories on so little. Thank you for sharing! -
It's really tough at first. And great job on getting back into the swing of it. My experience after surgery with liquids is that your stomach for the first week is trying to recover so you won't even be able to put much in and what liquid you take in is very filling. Yes you will come to miss chewing the most! POPSICLES are your best friend! They can give your chewing craving some satisfaction while still being liquid. Jello was good too for texture. you just have to be strong and remind yourself how much and why you want it!

Honestly dying on clean hair isn't a big deal. They suggest unwashed hair simply because it's not as harsh on the hair follicles. I've done it both ways and there isn't a difference. Just get a good deep/repairing conditioner. I would probably just dye it before you go to the gym, do your workout and then when you go to shower just rinse your hair in luke warm/ cool water.
