  1. I think you are fine so long as you listen when your stomach tells you to stop. I do find if I eat too quickly that I sometimes can eat a bit too much and feel nauseous afterwards, so watch out for that! Also, yogurt might be considered a bit of a slider food since it's semi-liquid. I know I can eat almost a cup of soup, but I still can only eat an ounce or so of chicken...
  2. Great suggestions, thanks guys!!! I also got some almond flour to use for breading, and that seems to work, too!

    One month out pics

Wow, it's neat to see that after a month you can see so much change! Congratulations on your success! You and your hubby look great (and how awesome that you get to do it together!)!
  4. Please don't let others' judgements stop you from doing something you really want to do for yourself. Frankly, your husband's parents sound really mean. Rolling his eyes at a wedding proposal? That just sounds childish. I don't think you should let such negative people sway your choice to do something positive for yourself. I would, however, ask your husband to stop sharing all your personal information with his family. You don't need their negativity!!!

    Baby food during pureed stage?

I tried baby food, and I found it pretty gross! I'd go with the options above!

    December 2010 Sleevers!

Hey, thanks for checking in!!! I am doing really well, loving my sleeve so far! I've lost 45 lbs since Dec. 14, and I feel much lighter on my feet already! I am tolerating just about everything (except I am scared to try beef or pork ), and I'm feeling good! Hope everyone else is doing well!
  9. Aww, thanks for your comment, Irene! I believe our bodies have incredible healing capabilities if we just help them along, so I believe I'll be able to run just like you later in my journey! But, so excited for your 5K! WAY TO GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Secret Sleevers

I am not secretive about it, but nor do I shout it from the rooftops. I think there are great reasons for both. For me, I just feel like it's a matter of privacy. I never felt like it was anyone's right to ask me questions and probe me about my weight, and that is something that I've always found offensive. I don't ask people about their weight because I don't feel like it's any of my business. Perhaps I am defensive after all those years of people giving me subtle and not so subtle suggestions about what I should do about my weight problem. At the end of the day, I just don't feel like my body is anyone's business but my own (and the man I am intimate with). However, I'd happily share the info with someone who was obese and seeking help.

    TOM and Hunger!

So, I've been very happily not super hungry since I've been sleeved (2 months now!), and I love how easy it makes it for me to make the right choices. My first two periods were OK, if you don't count the intense cramping, grrrrr... But, then BAM! This time, I have felt HUNGRY for days. And it's not just head hunger. My stomach is growling and every time I want to eat something, and I check to see if I am "legit" hunger or experiencing head hunger, I find that I feel hungry, and my belly is screaming, "Feed ME, Seymour!" ( quote from "Little Shop of Horrors" :-)) . WHY???!!!! Does anyone else have this?

    TOM and Hunger!

Thanks guys! Maybe my stomach acid is higher around TOM? I already take a PPI daily, but maybe I need to take zantac during TOM. It definitely feels like hunger because my stomach is growling and feels really empty, but when I try to eat, there's nothing I *want* to eat. Whatever it is, something is off :-). Guess I'll just chalk up to one of the many joys of Aunt Flo!

    Craving for EVERYTHING!!!!

I craved food a LOT during the clear liquid phase (I think I even dreamed about it!), and also during the full liquid phase. Once I got to mushies, I was fine. Just hang in there! It gets better!!!

    How is 1200 Calories enough?

You just made me want to eat a giant salad! :-)) You can't get the protein powders because you are deployed? But, you are coming back Stateside soon, right? Hang on until then if that's the case!

Oh Dear, my sense of decorum, flutter my hanky!!

First, Globetrotter, that is freaking hilarious! Second, Blackberry juice, I think someone said that progesterone cream can help get your "mojo" back! Maybe give that a try?

    Rewards?

OMG, I can't wait to hit goal so I can go shopping!!! Clothes, glorious clothes!!!! :):):):):)
  24. My number one slow down tip: put down your fork or spoon between bites and count the number of times you chew. It's a bit tedious, but it becomes a habit. I chew each bite 20X.
  25. Wow, you look so great! And your daughter is obviously proud of you, too!!! Congratulations, you must feel sooooo great!!!!!!
