:guessHey-I have a question. Mostly when we eat out, I either order an appetizer for the meal or share my hubby or daughter's. But I was wondering if any of you guys know if there is a website or something with the ozs listed for like chains (Chilis, Red Lobster etc) I have found sites that give the WW points, but can't find anything with the actual ozs. Thanks-Connie :)Finally-a tourist in two-der-ville, but just passing through.

Hey- The website Dotti's Weight Loss Zone - Restaurants A-Z, Weight Watcher and Nutritional Info scroll down a bit to get to the restautants- Most of the restaurant websites don't give the amount (oz.) of their portions, just the calories, fat etc. CLB

For Breakfast-I was watching Rachel Ray-$40 a day-she travels and eats out for $40 a day-and she was in the Hamptons (I think) and had a fritatta for breakfast that was an individual portion, made in a muffin pan. I found a recipe for it and a WW version and so I made a batch. Mine have cheese, some finely chopped veggies and ham in them (along with the egg, of course) all scrambled then put in the muffin pan to bake. They turn out to be about 2 oz each. The thing I liked is that sometimes, I have to eat on the run and this is great! Connie

This might have been answered before, but I didn't see it when I searched: I was banded the end of Jan and have had 2 fills (the 2nd one week ago today) This morning I noticed that I was not hungry and I haven't been all day. I have been drinking water but I am not hungry at all. I feel "full" not Thanksgiving stuffed as someone said in another post, but full. No PBing, no real nausea. Is this what the "sweet spot" feels like? Thanks!

Ok-I get why we can't drink with meals and for 30 minutes after eating. But what is the rationale for not drinking 30 minutes BEFORE meals?:think (First fill Wednesday....nervous about eating after that!!!):paranoid CLB

Hi- I am a substitute teacher (elementary) and teach almost everyday. You're right, not getting "potty breaks" is my hardest part- particularly because I don't know my schedule from day to day. What I found, for the most part, I can plan on drinking one bottle of water before lunch and then one in the afternoon. Then I have the rest of the evening to get in the remaining amount the my doc wants me to have. I always bring my lunch so that's not been an issue. Good luck!:welldoneclap: CLB

Hi! I am one week post band and have progressed from clear liquids YEA! So far so good. I liked the scale reading on my post op visit to the surgeon, but I know they won't all be like that. Well, just wanted to say hello!

Hi and welcome- I am a newbie as well (banded 1-28-07) I was self-pay but did the first steps of Insurance. Does your surgeon offer a "package" of info for your PC? Mine does. But what you should start with is a 'heart-to-heart' with your PC...what you have tried, your co-morbidities, your BMI etc. S/he may well know about lapband. When I first broached the subject with mine, he had several other patients whom he had referred and was very happy with their success. Good luck! CLB

So many things come in smaller packages now. I think that each cookie is smaller which might be a good thing. And each council sets the price per box. They are still $3.50 a box here. CLB

Hi- AH Girl Scout cookies - I fully understand - I am my daughter's co-leader, a trainer, camporee director....etc. We presell then have cookie booths etc. Right now there are several cases in my dinning room and two frozen from last year. Fortunately for me, that is not one of my weaknesses. Several troops here are offering to ship "cookies to troups" - you can buy cookies and the girl scouts will ship then to the military troops overseas. But I have wondered about selling cookies - it is historical and the girl scouts just changed to cookies without the bad fats.

Hey all you longer term bandsters (I am 3 weeks out) After your fills started, I know that the pouch is supposed to only hold 4 ounces. When you first ate out, did you just estimate based on what you ate at home or did you weigh the food? Is there a website or someplace that has after-cooking portion sizes? OR did you go by the precooked sizes on websites? :help: Thanks for all the help you guys who have more experience give. It's already been great! CLB:clap2: :clap2:

Hi- I was banded 1 week ago and will be flying in a couple of weeks. I know that we have to make the security folks aware of the band because it will beep. But I was wondering if any of you have actually flown yet? Thanks.:help:

Really? That's great to hear. I had been told that there is some metal in the band that, if the sensativity is turned up on the scaner, it would beep. Thanks.
