Can You Sleep On Your Stomach After Being Banded?
Northerngirl31 replied to otters38's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had surgery jan 20th and I am just starting to be able to sleep on my tummy. -
It's just a question. Just because u have one little cheat before surgery doesn't mean your going to be cheating all the time. Wow can't believe we found the perfect person in the world that's never going to cheat. If ur so perfect why do u even have the band pugx3? A lot of topics on this site are about what worked for some and not for others. That's the whole purpose of this forum.

I was on a liquid + veggies diet 2 weeks before surgery. 2 days before surgery I had veggie fajitas. I still lost 13lbs in those 2 weeks. I say go for it but just don't over do it. After surgery tho I have not once cheated. Too scared to gain.

Now That You Have Had The Surgury, What Negatives Have You Experienced Thus Far?
Northerngirl31 replied to marketingdude's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
OMG take the stick out of ur a**. Out of all the posts u have written not one was positive! I'm sorry the band didn't work for u but u ever think maybe u should have made better food choices and maybe just ran little? It is just a tool not a magic wand. I get that everyone has the right to their own opinion but for god sakes relax alittle. WE GET It.... U DON'T RECOMMEND tHE BAND! -

Lower Bmi: 5'5 And 219lbs. Anyone Like Me?
Northerngirl31 replied to PudgyYogaChic's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
My surgery is scheduled for jan 20 2012. I have struggled with my weight for the last 7-8 years. My teenage years and into my twenties I was 130 lbs. it wasn't until mid twenties ( I'm am 31) when I started packing it on. I have tried everything to lose the weight and I did lose some I have never got down to goal. But always gained it back plus more. I weight 197 lbs and a BMI of 32 and my goal is 140lbs. The people that I have told have said "just exercise more" or "your not even that big". And it really makes me mad because I have been exercising. And I explain to those people (and I only told my husband and both sisters) I can't live my life trying to lose the weight and just gain it back every single time. I'm not living my life for them I'm living it for me. And my weight affects every part of my life... I'm tired of being depressed and stressed out because of the weight. I don't like to have company because I feel I'm being judged, I hate going out in public because I'm always worrying if the outfit I'm wearing makes me look worse then I already feel. And so much more...I have been reading this site for a few months and it gives me hope. Whenever I feel crappy I always get on here and read peoples success stories and I love it! One day my success story will be posted! If any of us lose just one pound that's a success to me! GREAT JOB EVERYONE and thank you! Amanda -
What To Ask Lap Band Surgeon?
Northerngirl31 posted a topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Ok so I have an appointment with my surgeon on Monday. What are some questions I should ask him? My surgery date is Jan 20th and there's always those questions that as soon as u walk out of the office u think aww **** I should have asked him that! I would like to know what the questions are that u forgot to ask. -
No they had some openings in December but January works out better for me.

Yeah I'm from Sudbury..I have been going back and forth with the decision. But I finally made up my mind. My surgery date is January 20 2012..I'm looking forward to the hard work that it's going to take but it will be well worth it in the end. I have tried everything under the sun. And yes I did lose the weight but gained it all back. I think this is the help I need to finally be happy.

oops sorry one more thing at thinlife there are 2 doctors that preform the surgeries. One of the docs is Chief of staff at the North Bay Hospital and the other doc travels from Toronto once a month. www.thinlife.ca
