I am looking for a protein powder that I can add to anything when I feel like I am not getting enough protein. Does anyone know where this is available??

I have a crazy question. Do any of the female banders that wear underwire bras have tenderness from your bra? I dont know how to explain it, but I feel like if i wear my bra too long, I have tenderness on my left side near my port site. When I don't wear it as long, I don't. Maybe I'm sitting wrong or something, but i hate the thought of giving up my underwire support!! Thanks yall, Have Very Merry Christmas!!

My boobs sit fine with the bra now without the bra...LOL. That's why I want new boobs when I lose all my weight!! My port is to the left and below my xepoid process, the point on the bottom of your sternum. I think when I sit more bent over, my underwire is hitting scar tissue.

I didn't have a nutrition test, just a consult. The psych consult was ok. They basically make sure you do.t suffer from depression, you are doing this for the right reasons. They asked me if I ever used drugs or alcohol? If there were alcoholics in my family? Did I have a happy childhood? Then the computerized test was a hoot! Do I hear voices? If so do I do what they say? Do I believe in God? Do I base my routing on what God tells me? They ask you the same question a million different ways. Don't go in nervous, its really easy!

I had my sx Oct 28th and I was out 6 wks cause I am a CNA and I move veteran's and some are 300 lbs plus. I went back and strained moved a stroke victim and felt something pull. So I'm on PRN, secretly hoping to find a different job. I love working with my veteran's, but I'm.not going to hurt myself.

I have been craving a salad but I have been told its hard to digest, anyone else have problems??

I did eat a mixed greens salad and it went well! I have even ate small tomatoes and it was ok. Chewed the heck out of them and I was good. I am a tomatoe girl, my mama had to hide them when I was a baby or I would cry for them. The only problem I have had is reheated food. It got stuck and I thought I was going to have to go to the hospital!! Learned my lesson.

I have a question!! I am going out with the hubby tonight to a concert and I haven't had an alcoholic drink in months! I was wondering if anyone has had any since being banded??

Thanks y'all!! I heard iceberg was the worst! I am excited now, cause I love me some salads. I have found that me and bananas do NOT get along. I ate one for a snack and 15 mins later I felt like I have a stomach bug.

My port swelling has gone down since I have been on my antibiotics. I feel lime it sticks out more though and a little apprehensive about going back to work as a cna on Sunday night cause some of my patients are 300lbs plus and I have to roll them.

I have port pain like a pulled muscle. Has anyone else experienced this? Also, I am loving some spicy food, got some heart burn, has anyone taken Zegrid since being banded? Thanks!!

I went to the Dr. today do to port site pain and swelling. The Dr. thinks I have an infected port site, I am going to get an ultrasound in a few hrs. They are checking for fluid and infection, if so they are going to remove the port this afternoon. Has anyone else had their port removed? I am really tempted to tell them to removed the whole band. I have done nothing but cry non stop.

I got gas pains if I drank my shake too fast. I used and still do use Gas X. I had a band/Hernia repair too.

I had it too after I was banded, it was gas pressure. I got Gas X strips and might have to use 2 at a time or back to back, but they relieved my back pain so much! Also, I was sleeping sitting up, that caused me some back pain, I had to take Tylenol and it relieved the pain some. Hope you feel better.

I was told at Thanksgiving that I could have a few pieces of turkey, so I ate the dark meat. I have come to realize, that dark meat pulverizes easier in your mouth. Try that, you may also be able to eat the chicken and tuna salad b/c it is "wet" from low fat mayo. I Googled slider food and read that when something has low fat mayo or dressing it slides through better. Good luck with trying new foods!

I hope and pray this is the biggest bump in the road, I was told not to eat this morning at my dr appt, now I am waiting to go get me some fish! I have the burning and muscle cramp/pull sensation still, but I believe with the antibiotics, I will be fine!

I had my ultrasound, no infection or fluid! I am thinking it is inflammation of the tissue around the port. It is still red though, that can be from it being irritated. I am on 750 mg of Keflex 3 times a day. So that should clear up anything! I was wanting it removed b/c my daddy got staph infection from having an aortic aneurysm repaired. I am a worry wort!

I got my ultrasound, no infection thank God!! I still taking antibotics. I'm thinking tissue inflammation is the reason, wasn't told, just told to do what my Dr had said in the office. No, I checked, I was warm because of my sweatshirt and having a 12 wk old asleep on me. I have a heating pad on my tummy. I feel so bloated, like I can't pass gas. Im scared now from what I have read, it would be appendicitis. If I am not better in the morning I am going to the Dr after class. its not red, I have gone through the 4 sighs of infections,redness, swollen, tenderness, and fever.

I am hoping just for a pulled muscle, I am the biggest baby when it comes to pain!! Thanks, I will try my liquid diet for a cpl days.

I have been having pain at my port site today, feel like I just had the surgery. I can eat, drink, but my site is swollen. Maybe a pulled muscle, is that what your experiencing? I called the dr, the nurse said the port didn't flip, the way it is in there now. It has been 5 wks since my surgery. I read to put ice on my port, I hope this works, cause muscle relaxers haven't.
