Tummy Tuck Scar Pics At Eleven Days
BeautyLarue replied to Jachut's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
wow. that looks so amazing!!!werk!!! -
I had my first fill on 1/12/12. I don't really feel restriction but that's fine for now as long as I feel that i have control over my eating. Since that time I have stuck to a 1000 calorie diet of CLEAN eating. No cheating. 70 Proteins 20 grams of fat per day (no saturated) . 13 grams of sugar. I measure everything exactly and track every single meal. I have been going to the gym daily doing 1 hr of zumba as well. I am gaining!!! No just plateauing. Gaining. I just don't understand. It feels demotivating. Ccan someone help?

I had my fill 5 days ago and I am not restricted enough for my liking. I was told by the doctor that it can take up to 4 week for the fill to "kick in'. I find that hard to believe. In any case he reduces to fill until 6 weeks out. Has anyone started to fill restriction a month after a fill?

I'm really not. He's a good doctor but quite dismissive and has a one size fits all approach to medicine. -
This is awesome. I love those plates.

Hi, I'm looking for a "dummy approved" portion plate....I want to make it as easy as possibly for myself until I can formulated habits. I found this http://www.lapbandtools.com/products/Portion-Control-Plate.html which is awesome, but it seems like they are only sold in bulk. Other portion plates that I have found put the larger emphasis on the veggies as opposed to Proteins ( for our sake).... has anyone found a similar plate?

Help.. My Port Has Flipped.
BeautyLarue replied to DancingSupaStar's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I went for my first fill today and my port had turned. The doctor flipped it right there under the floro. It hurt so bad and I broke down crying on the table. The doc said that it should be fine. I knew something was wrong b/c I have been having the same pulling pain under my port since surgery and that was 5 weeks ago. I was planning on joining the gym tomorrow but I think I'll give it some time to heal. If he could just flip it like that, what will vigorous excercise do. I'm scared. -
Looking For Lap Band Mentor And Buddy Bloggers
BeautyLarue posted a topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Hi, I am 27 and from north Jersey. I am looking for a few things, I guess. I'd like a mentor, a buddy and some cyber support. I am a no BS kind of person so that more abrasive you are the better. I'd like someone to kick my ass if I'm slacking and I'll do the same to you. If you are close we can meet up, or we can exchange numbers so that we can speak and text. I am looking for fellow bandsters that would like to cooperatively blog about the journey and offer support to each other. I am being banded on December 7th, 2011. I would like to pair up with someone that is being banded around that time as well. I am starting my preop diet on November 23rd and will start the blog at that point. I need help being accountable, so this will help me make it a habit. Let me know if you are interested. Thanks -
I have tried GNC Why Isolate and all the unjury shakes and I hate them all. To the point where I couldn't keep them down. From what I hear, a lot of people have trouble with whey shakes. My boss who is a marathon runner bought me some Sun Warrior vanilla powder and it works perfectly for me. It is a rice Protein that is very palatable for me. It's about $45.00 per bag, that that's about 50 servings. It's well worth if for me.

Tomorrow Is My Lap Band Surgery - Help !!!
BeautyLarue replied to khundaqji's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
are you still in the hospital, if so let them know if you are home, take the meds they have given you I had a hard time breathing for the first few days. Did the they give you the breathing "toy". Use that to expand your lungs believe me, it helps. If you are lying down try to walk a little bit and then sit in a chair for a while with some pillows behind you. -
sounds like a plan, lol

Tomorrow Is My Lap Band Surgery - Help !!!
BeautyLarue replied to khundaqji's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I am 17 days post op. I had a lot of pain the first week and I'm still really getting settled. Walk...walk and walk. It helps. It's more soreness that internal pain. Everyone in my life is anti- band but I did what I felt was right for me. Just educate yourself and prepare so that you have the best opportunity for success. -
I Can Eat Everything 7 Days Post Lap Band Surgery, Is This Normal?
BeautyLarue replied to CaroZ's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I too am ABLE to things that I am not supposed to. I have tried to keep that at a minimum ...except for the holiday work goodies and the eggdrop Soup from the Chinese restaurant. Today I simply recommitted to getting back on track. I am considering everyday to be day one....we can do everything for one day, right? I am ravenously hungry but I imagine that is b/c I have NOT been drinking my Protein. I have not been able to keep it down until I purchased new ones this week. I find that it has been easier to control myself since I have been back on the shakes. We made this commitment to ourselves b/c we wanted to be achiever our highest good. We all KNOW what we are supposed to be doing... just like we KNEw what to do do lose the weight before the band. It's up to us to DO now. -
