I am currently on day 8 of 21 days of pre-op diet. My doctor explained to me that typically for females he recommends 2 weeks, but as a male weight is typically held around the torso, so I would need 3 week. I'm allowed 2 shakes and one bar along with 2 cups of vegetables, each day. (800 calories)
I have to say that I am quite jealous of the people that are allowed a little variety in their meals, and those who have no pre-op at all.
For the most part I can't complain as things have been going quite well. I have already lost 15 lbs and I just past the 1/3 mark, hooray!!
