Anybody Else Feel Overwhelmed?
VWLangley replied to LeeLeeLosing's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hang in there. I was sleeved in Dec. January was difficult with managing the diet, protein and water. I also suffered from terrible constipation since my diet was so restricted. Alias, real food was introduced and things started getting lots better. You are close to the end of your dark tunnel. Hang in there. -
My doctor told me optimal weight loss occurs when you intake between 1000-1300 calories a day.

I am almost 3 weeks out of surgery. I am still on a full/pureed diet. I have become constipated. No rufage or fiber is causing me some frustration. Can I take a stool softner? I have been drinking some prune juice but no luck so far. Help!!! Has anyone had this happen and what did you do?

I last posted on 01/08 and it really got worse before it got better but it has gotten much better. Since I have incorporated some fresh fruit into my protein shakes and started eating some cooked veggies and added Benefiber if need be, things are looking up. Or atleast I think it is.

Strong Adversion To Protein Supplement
VWLangley replied to Cheles's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have lived off the Isopure drinks. You can get from GNC. They are not to bad but a funny film and after taste. A few different flavors but they are much better then the Injury powder and they are clear. Good luck! -
When did you have your surgery? My surgeon told me the acid would be pretty strong for about 3 to 4 months after surgery. Good Luck. I hope it subsides.

I was just approved also. My surgery is Dec 20. The nurse actually called today and said they had a cancellation for 11/16/11, did I want to do it then. I was shocked. She said you have to start liquids today. I told her I needed to mentally prepare for that and let's wait until next month. Crazy! I'm nervous but also excited. I'm sure like all of you.
