    Sucking it in

TONS of compression on Amazon, you can buy compression items at Wal-mart, Target, pretty much all of the bigger department stores. Just remember to buy 1 size smaller than you typically wear.

Only think you can really do is wait it out. You could *try* some pepto or some tums or something... but really, you just gotta deal with it until everything processes out.

    Kind of freaking out.

Sounds more like a "Hey buddy you need to get this WLS now" situation. Just remember, you'll be given pain killers, those will help that foot feel better too. Hope you feel better and good luck on your Surgery!
  4. Staple line leak for 1st time WLS patients is low. Staple line leak for revisions from band to sleeve is much higher because the staple line goes through a previously scarred tissue and scar tissue doesn't heal like un-scarred tissue. I trust my surgeon, she's been the one of the top surgeons in our state for almost 2 decades. She would have referred me to another surgeon if I really wanted the band to sleeve revision. But after her explanation as to why it's not a smart idea, I agreed with her and decided that revising to something that's riskier wasn't the best idea. So, I went with the RYN because that staple line does not transverse the scar tissue created by the band, thus, no increased leakage potential. Clearly it's each patients choice. But knowing about the band to sleeve revision's potential issues is a good thing.
  5. Had a pretty cool NSV yesterday. Walked up 8 flights of stairs in a Federal Hospital, so like... more than 8 actual flights of stairs. Did it in 1 shot, no issues and my HR was only 121 when I got to the top... LIKE A BOSS
  6. Be ready for a stall and a slow down. It ***WILL*** happen. When you move from liquids only to food, you will stall. When you start changing up your intake... you'll stall. Not sure why you are looking to eat more, while you are also stating you don't want to eat more. That's a bit confusing. You really want to be upwards of 128oz of water a day. Not sure what a 30/60 water plan is. I see you are from Rhode Island, who are you seeing for a nutritionist and where?
  7. @LBDucky you've lost 32 lbs already and you are worried that you aren't doing something correctly? Why? You've lost 32 lbs, that's more than a pound a day. 400 calories a day is low. Your body will eventually slow down more and focus on storage over fat removal. I'm seeing a MASSIVELY important thing missing from this long write up. Your water intake. Water is *REQUIRED* for fat processing. If you don't give your body enough water to meet your daily minimum requirements, fat loss *will* suffer. Personally I would increase the protein intake, increase the water intake and reduce the starches and fats. I don't worry about macros at all. Never have. Was never advised to. Even still, you've lost just over a pound a day, that's a great thing, do not overlook the progress because you expected something else. ****NEVER**** compare yourself, your surgery and your loss rates with anyone else. Because absolutely no one is going to lose the same way. Even if we put identical twins though the same exact surgery on the same day by the same surgeon, they would not experience the same things post op.

    regain weight

That nurse was way wrong. With RNY (gastric bypass) they don't remove anything. Gastric Sleeve is the procedure where they remove 90% of the stomach. The whole idea that removing part of the stomach removes any appetite is wrong too. Sure there is an initial reduction... but it typically returns. Again, this is ONLY with the Sleeve, not the bypass. That nurse was is completely out of her lane.
  9. Congrats! That's an amazing achievement!
  10. I say make a cup as per the directions before you start adding things for flavor etc. It does taste different, hard to describe (and the quality of the matcha changes things as well)
  11. Use it in place of, Matcha *IS* green tea, just powered so that you get all parts of the leave and not just the water soluble part when making the tea.

    Awful complications

That's nuts! But glad you caught it and it's being worked on!

    Anticoagulant injections

Nope, not with my band installation back in 2011. But I did have to give myself lovenox injections 2x a day for 7 days after my band to bypass revision. I don't see why you'd need them for the band installation as there should have been zero internal cutting.

@Frustr8 why would you revive a post from almost 9 years ago? ESP when this user hasn't logged in since 2012.

    I have lost 45 pounds!

    Congrats!
  16. Except Moon cheese is also 100% cheese with all natural ingredients. Moon Cheese has less ingredients on their panel as well.

weigt loss stall 2 weeks post op

Normal. Expected. Going to happen over and over and over. Don't focus on the short term... focus on the long term. I posted a write about this showing my week, month, year and overall weight loss charts. It's easy to get upset and frustrated when we look too closely at this process. It's a long drawn out procedure. Just keep doing the right thing and everything will work out.
  18. That sucks. Sadly I can't say that I've experienced the same thing. Did they do any surgery to your diaphragm? Any hernia repair?

    Back pain

I was diagnosed with Thoracic arthritis. I've had it for a while it seems, but because of all the visceral fat the arthritis was covered and insulated, protected from the nerves. Now with all the fat loss... I'm now dealing with the pain from it. Talk to your PCP and maybe get it xray'd.

    Dating

Whoa... "apparently?" Sorry! or Yay!, depending on how that went down. Today's dating scene is pretty much online at this point. Or you can hit it off in some of the single mingle events in your area.
  24. This one seems accurate as it requires tape measurements as well. https://www.calculator.net/body-fat-calculator.html
  25. 32 oz is so low it's not funny. I get it's hard, but your health is important, those young children aren't going to benefit from you not taking care of yourself. Hydration is so critical to your health, dehydration is deadly. For the tolerance issues, try different temps of water or adding some flavoring, I suggest adding some electrolytes to your water since you are getting in so little. Good luck!
