    Non scale victory

Congrats! It's always an amazing feeling when you assume you won't fit and then you slide right in with no issues!

    Water

Nice! I love the "REFILL", how large is that? looks like it *might* be 24-32 oz. If so, that's a good start, but to maximize your fat loss, you REALLY want to try to hit 128+ a day if you can.

the **ONLY** thing that *MIGHT* have protein is that Bone Broth... but I can tell you from a quick search, that it's not going to be anywhere NEAR what you should be getting a day... if you are buying it, check the nutritional panel, it'll have the protein count listed. What I'm seeing online for non-protein enhanced broths is as low as 5-6 grams per serving, when you should be aiming for around 60-80 for your daily total, so, if you were consuming this 5 gram per serving broth, you'd need to drink 12 servings to hit 60 grams in a day. And at that point, you'd be super high in sodium intake. What they give you the day after surgery, is for recovery purposes and no where near what you should be continuing to consume.
  4. I love the Avocoloda from Tropical Smoothie Cafe (no sugar of course) with added protein and flax seeds.
  5. I know, I'm not really "Stressed", I think I just need to "buckle down" a bit more. Been allowing a bit too much leeway personally. Just trying to make myself accountable.
  6. Need to drop a total of 0.462962962962963 per day to meet that goal! Not to put too fine a point on it LOL.
  7. I'd like it to be more, I've got to track .5 a day to hit my "Dream Goal"... just trying not to get too stressed about the process, but damn if I'm not trying my hardest LOL !
  8. How crazy is it that I drop .3 lbs and I'm "mad" about that LOL
  9. Hey... they are made with plant protein and have very low calorie counts per bag... so, TOTALLY "good" for you!
  10. Amazing job! Have you looked into insurance covered skin removal? Most have some option available to some extent, worth looking into if you haven't yet.
  11. Are you supposed to be eating 3 weeks out? Almost all post-op diet's I've seen for Sleeved patients is liquids only for a month. With the water, try adjusting the temperature and taste with sugar free flavorings. Water "texture" intolerance is fairly common post op, at least until you are fully healed. Check out some of the protein water style proteins that are clear, these fit into your clear phase and provide you with protein when you can't consume full liquids or actual foods. Might help you out. Have you been in contact with your surgical team about the issues you are having? If not, please do so!

    Anticipation

Congrats and good luck! Be prepared to not be prepared. There are things that just can't be planned for, but if you plan to accept that some things can't be planned for, you'll be better prepared for those issues.

    Protein

Depends on your surgery, and depending on how your surgery has gone. If I assume that your screen name hints at your surgery, you should be on liquids for a while post op, so "shakes" might be out of the question for a bit as they are part of the full liquid phase, BUT you can consume protein water style proteins as they are "clear" and are typically allowed in the first phase of your intake post op. But as always, check with your surgeon, surgical team and/or nutritionist.

Why are you not consuming any protein? Is this something they told you to avoid? If you are on clears, you can get yourself some of the protein water style proteins... clear doesn't mean perfectly clear (in case you didn't know) it means see through, even if it's colored. There are a number of clear protein options. defiance with WLS is a very bad thing, compliance is what makes the surgery work.

  17. Read the link I posted... they ALL use an endoscope. The term can and is used simi-interchangeably.
  18. Actually you are incorrect, all WLS at this point is Endoscopic unless there are issues/complications that require an "open" surgery. https://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/minimally_invasive_robotic_surgery/types.html Non-robotic minimally invasive surgery is also known as endoscopic surgery. You also may be familiar with terms like laparoscopic surgery, thoracoscopic surgery, or “keyhole” surgery. These are minimally invasive procedures that utilize an endoscope to reach internal organs through very small incisions.
  19. If you all haven't seen... http://shop.kaysnaturals.com/gluten-free-protein-puffs-s/1831.htm The Kruncheeze chips are amazing... the veggie pizza puffs are damn tasty, and I haven't had them yet but... those Mac and Cheese puffs... drool
  20. 12 lbs from my original "dream" goal. 28 day to lost 12 lbs to meet my dream goal on/before my 20th wedding anniversary and 40th birthday... so damn close it's just mind blowing! I have to think IF for getting me this far this fast... yes the surgery is helping, but it's IF that's made it work to the best of it's ability.

    Fat Shaming

At work, I'd tread lightly, maybe mention to them how if the roles were reversed they wouldn't appreciate folks talking about them that way. Or just state that that type of conversation isn't appropriate in the workplace, but be really careful as it could make you the target. It's amazing seeing how people change their interactions with me, some folks I worked with before I lost a lot, treat me differently now, and then there are those staff members that I really only saw in passing that would give me the 1000 yard stare, now are much more pleasant to interact with and actually acknowledge my presence. Even walking shopping, associates are much more attentive and engaging. It's sad really.
