    Premier Protein Shakes

I'm not sure it works that way, just a passing thought I put into words and submitted to a site. Not sure it's worth it overall given I think the max payout is like... $40.

    Dog Lovers

Ruby is doing great, not sure of her weight at the moment, but she's certainly filling out nicely! Can't really see her ribs anymore which is great! She's also gotten very comfortable with us all, although she still startles easily when someone raises their voice, even to yell upstairs to the kids... she gets worried that she's in trouble. But she gets constant love and attention so she's getting over her little quirks. Sadly French Mastiffs typically only live 5-8 years and Ruby is 4. I'm just glad her troubles are over, just need to get her fixed and we'll be done with the expensive stuff for now, 6 weeks of her being in heat/in season was horrible to deal with, so, much, blood!
  3. Looks really good! I know that I'm already planning on telling the doc that I don't need a belly button... seems like a hard part of the surgery overall, for a purely aesthetic body part. Got a LONG way to go before that's even an option at this point.

    Caffeine problems...

Caffeine causes your intestines to flood with water. Are you adding any calcium to your coffee at all? Calcium and Caffeine bind together. This is one of the reasons docs want folks to limit their caffeine intake, because of the calcium binding effect. But you can use this to your advantage, add a decent amount of fat free milk to your coffee and see if that helps/changes things. I use this daily to keep things moving and clear. Wake up, cup of coffee with sugar free sweetened creamer, some fat free milk, then pretty much as soon as I'm done, I down 3 large mouthfuls of water and let the cleanse begin.
  7. My 40th Birthday is in 25 days, my 20th wedding anniversary is in 23 days. Just sayin... LOL
  8. Sounds like you need to go back. If you can't drink liquids without issue... then you are too tight.

I wonder if they are trying to get in on the lawsuit...

    Beards

Body hair density *IS* effected by weight. So yes, thinner you is going to have thicker patches of body hair. Just over 7 months post op, zero hair loss, zero hair growth slow down, if anything my beard has gotten thicker.
  12. Most people bring way too much, use the search feature to look for "what to bring" posts, there are quite a few lists folks have posted with what they brought, what was useful, what wasn't, etc.
  13. I eat whatever I want. I'm still in the "loss" phase, but I still eat whatever I want to that doesn't cause any issues. I avoid added and unnatural sugars, I avoid white breads, but I don't not eat them ever. I focus on the protein and veggies first, but I still eat other things.

On the Subject of New Clothes....

I'm just the opposite at this point, I used to LOATH shopping for clothes. Now, it's just fun. I almost cried when went to Kohls and bought something off the rack without trying it on and knew it would fit without any concern at all. Now, my main complaint is that I need to keep buying more clothes because it's like every other month the clothes I bought become too big!

    Being sick after RNY?

Haven't had any issues with any medications post op (other than not taking NSAIDS)
  16. It's going to all depend on the requirements for the removal. Each insurance is different, some don't cover it at all, others only cover it after a set amount of time AND a history of problems that would not clear up with standard treatments. Mine, I have to be at a stable weight for either 1 or 2 years AND have documented, photographed evidence of skin issues on the excess skin, and even then, they only cover certain areas of the body. Check into intermittent fasting, it's REALLY helped me out.

    First round of labs?

First post op labs were at 3 months. Then 6, then 9. No surprises really, just pleased with the results from the patches I'm using for my vitamins. All levels were within normal ranges at both my 3 and 6 month post-op follow ups.

    Weird muscle pain?

How much weight have you lost? People tend to forget that fat doesn't reside only subdermally, we've got Visceral fat as well. Visceral fat protects muscles, bone, tendons, etc. So when we lose a lot of weight, we lose Visceral fat as well, this tends to cause some "slack" around the areas of greater loss, this can lead to pain due to lose joints. Working the muscles groups around problematic joints can help tighten everything up, I had some pretty noticeable issues with my hips, and I found out I've got spinal arthritis, didn't know until the fat stopped protecting the nerves, I can feel it now though! With your rump, does it only hurt when sitting on something hard? Don't forget that you are losing a lot of "padding". Stretching and targeted work outs can help get everything back into place.

    Too much thirsty

Drinking "a lot" isn't the problem, drinking too fast is. Slow down a bit, if you are drinking too quickly and causing pain... that needs to stop ASAP. Pain = Bad. Slow down and let the fluids drain. You should be getting upwards of 128oz of water, but it shouldn't hurt to do so.
  21. This is where you can educate them, because clearly they don't know wtf they are talking about.

    Waist Trainers

Literally ANY compression gear, don't bother spending a lot on popular brand names, walmart/target/amazon all have good, inexpensive compression gear. Don't confuse compression gear with waist trainers, waist trainers are usually for corset and hourglass figure "training" and are not for "holding in sagging skin". https://www.hourglassangel.com/what-is-waist-training/

    Kevin Smith / Silent Bob

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kevin_Smith He's pretty famous, globally, he's not a youtube star.... He didn't have WLS, he became vegan and then later joined WW.
