  1. Lisa, I am truly envious of how little food you can have for a meal. I haven't really been tracking my carbs but I will start. I often do have veggies with meals. I don't have bread and crackers every day just occasionally to switch things up. Its funny that you said a sleeve of steele cause that is exactly how I feel. I know I have overeaten once or twice and also eaten some things I was not suppose to and I have yet to feel sick or any discomfort other than feeling over full. With that being said I do not over eat, it was me just feeling out my new tummy. I use loseit.com to track my daily nutrition. It has a pretty nice mobile app as well. I think my docotors dietitian said that I can add her to it and she can view my I put. I will see her on the 15th and will discuss my issues with her so I can get her feedback.
  2. Lisa, I know that I have had great weight loss the amazing thing is that I have been stalled for over a week now. As far as my diet goes ever since I was told I could advance to the mushie diet I have kinded cheated and not chopped or blended any of my food. I have had absolutely no complications with my new tummy. I see people posting that they barely get down 1 egg and I have been putting down 2 or more if I eat them alone. My typical daily diet is 2 scrambled eggs with a piece of toast for Breakfast, a greek yogurt for a snack, tuna or chicken salad for luch sometimes with whole wheat crackers, then a cheese stick or half cup of cottage cheese for another snack. All of that takes place at my work between 8 - 4 I usually have around 200 calories left for dinner where I try to have chicken, a vegetable and a potatoe. As for my hunger being an acid problem, I don't think that is the problem. I have been using liquid zantac sine the day I was able to return home after surgery. I have also tried using tums with no change. Hope this answers some of your questions and I will be looking forward to your feedback.
  3. I am pretty sure I was told to stay around 800 calories. I have support group on the 15th so I will reconfirm then. I wish I was allowed 1500 calories, I must admit I am a little jealous of you. Congrats on your weight loss.
  4. I am 5 weeks post op and becoming more discouraged every day. I thought that this surgery was really going to help me control my appetite but I am hungrier now than I have ever been. I have had great weight loss up until about 2 weeks ago but I have been stalled ever since. I lost 12 lbs. on my pre op diet, and 23 lbs. since the 10/31. As frustrating as my stall has been my appetite is the most disappointing thing. I feel like I need to eat almost every 2 hours. I try to eat high protein foods but it doesn’t seem to help. I don't drink anything while eating or within 30 mins of eating, in fact I don't drink near the water I should because it just makes me feel hungry. It is becoming hard to stay under 800 calories daily when I am constantly feeling like I need to eat. I am pretty sure this is not an acid issue. Tums and Zantac have had no effect. Does anyone have any experience or suggestions? Thanks
  5. This thread has been so comforting to me. I was sleeved 10/31 and have been wonderng how I compare to everyone else who was sleeved around the same time. I have been feeling like my results were not that good and was feeling disappointed, but now that I have read this I feel like I am right on track. I started my 10 day pre op liquid diet at 277lbs. I was able to lose 12lbs by my operation day of 10/31. On my 2 week check up I lost a total of 27lbs and 29% of the total weight I want to lose. My Dr. Said that is some of the best results he has seen (had to brag a little). Since my 2 week my weight loss has drastically slowed down, but with keeping a close eye on my calorie intake I am back to losing more consistantly. As of this morning I have lost 35lbs and am down to 232lbs. As I already said this thread has made me feel much better about my loss and wish all of you the best of luck.

    Still Hungry

Today I skipped my liquid zantac and got some tums instead. I haven't had much of an appetite so far today. I have also ensured I didn't drink anything for atleast 30 minutes after eating. I hope this continues to do the trick. Thanks to everyone for their advice.

    Still Hungry

I think it is a little of both when it comes to my hunger. I think that I might actually mentally convince myself that I am hungry and then I start to feel hungry. I have been struggling to get in all 64 oz of water. It seems like the more water I drink the quicker I get hungry and the more my stomach growls. I don't believe that I am having any problems with acid since I have been taking my zantac.

    Still Hungry

I am on acid meds. My doc prescibes liquid zantac automatically. I do skip it occasionally because its disgusting.
  9. I know there are a few post on here about this but I have not found all the info I am looking for. I am 18 days post opt and have been on the mushie diet for a couple days now. My problem is that I am now hungry a lot more than I think I should be. I try to eat small portions usually about 1/2 cup and that usually does the trick, but I am hungry again in about an hour or so. I am eating foods with protein so I know that’s not the problem. I have also been at a stall now for about a week and that is starting to play mind games on me. Does anyone have any experience with this? I could really use some good news. Thanks Mike
  10. I was sleeved on Halloween, and was released from the hospital yesterday evening. Ever since my surgery, I have been having pain in my left abdomen; it’s a sharp pain when I take a deep breath. Both doctors and nurses insist that it is just gas, which I completely understand. The pain is not intolerable just very annoying. Has anyone else experienced this, and is there any remedy other than time. Thanks Mike
  11. I just wanted to say hello to everyone. I am a new member and am on day seven of my ten day liquid diet. My doctor allows no solid food what so ever, so I am a bit of a grumpy bear but I know it will all be worth it. I am scheduled to be sleeved on the 31st and I have never been so scared and excited at the same time. I imagine everyone feels this way. I look forward to being an active member on here, and wish everyone the best.
