I have been overweight since I had children 21 years ago, but I remember thinking that I was fat since I was probably 12 or so. My brother is married to a very skinny woman (61/2 stone) and made a few disparaging remarks when I was a teenager. So - lots of time wasted worrying about something that was really nothing.
Decided to get a lap band quite suddenly as I am sick of reflux, snoring, sore knees, sore back and reduced exercise tolerance.
Feeling quite ambivalent and anxious but hoping for a good outcome.
