I started this process with a thought last October but didnt get started on Monthly office visits for my weight until December 2010.  According to my insurance, I had to be on a doctor approved weight loss program for at least 6 months before I would be approved.  So I began a diet. I really lost no weight in this process, or take off a few pounds only to put them back on.  My insurance would not pay for this process because they pay for nothing with a dx of Obesity, so this was very costly.  Once I was almost to the 5th month, I saw  my surgeon, which insurance would not pay for either, and he wanted me to do some testing to make sure I was a good candidate for this type surgery.  No help with the testing either from insurance. very expensive. My insurance denied the first time they sought approval because they cited that my surgeon was new at this, so they appealed and then was approved. I am now 1 week and 3 days post op.  I stayed overnight at the hospital.  I have vomited once due to drank my tea too fast on 3rd day.  I go back to work on Monday as I took 1 1/2 week off. I feel pretty good although maybe a little tired. I am on the full liquid diet and trying to get my protein in is so hard to do. I hate that instant breakfast stuff, but I try to take it in.  I did make some killer split pea/butternut squash soup that I blended to make liquid. Also I am 5 foot even, but that didnt seem to be an option. I have no idea how much my surgery cost, I have not recieved a bill yet. My surgeon is awesome and did my cholecystectomy, but he is not listed yet as he is new at this Lap Band System surgeries.   SW 244 CW 235 GW130
