  1. haha! I had someone ask me if I was on the "jenny crack diet" the other day! to funny!!!
  2. welcome! congrats on your new begining!
  3. I havent had this problem thankfully, however you are right to be scared about it as constipation can kill. it is no laughing matter. Whenever I get a little backed up I drink some almond milk or soy milk.....it will help get things moving fast. Iron will definatly back anybody up so you can also take some dss also called collace. one pill a day to start. it isnt a laxative it is a stool softener so it wont make you go more, just easier to go. helps with those who have hemroids too. good luck to you!

    3 Weeks And No Weightloss

yep! almost everyone hits this stall. dont worry....you will come out of it as soon as your body adjusts. cheer up!
  5. my pain was gone about 2 weeks out. I would talk to your doctor about it, not saying anything is wrong as we all heal differently. just saying you should double check with him. good luck to you.....and I hope you feel better soon!

    Omg My Boobs Have Disappeared!

well good, mabye there is hope for some of us
  8. my body is feeling really good. i was able to go to the park with my family today and swing on the swings with my kids. they enjoyed a picnic while i drank muscle milk and had about 3 pieces of honey dew melon (really well chewed). i felt pretty good after eating it. i think i feel so much better because i started taking vitamins yesterday along with b12. i have lost 9.5 pounds in 5 days already! i know we arent supposed to weigh ourselves but once a week but i knew i lost weight already because i was able to fit into a size 16 jeans! i just wanted to see how much. i cant wait until my check up with my nutritionist. i bet she will just be blown away. family and friends are seeing the weight loss finally. my mother in law, who never makes comments about my weight other than to tell me that im gaining weight. she doesnt like me being fat, she thinks that her son deserves a skinny wife....but thats another story. she even told my husband that she could tell that i lost some weight. (she would never tell me, but at least she said something to him) she doesnt know about the surgery because i know what she would say. anyhow......the point i was trying to make is that i feel so much better today then yesterday, and im sure i will feel better tomarrow and so on and so forth. i love this sleeve!!!!
  9. it is very normal to have more pain with the repair. it is also a good idea to stay on top of those pain meds, and make sure you take them on time because it takes longer to get rid of the pain once you are in it, then it does when you stay on it. also, taking the pain meds will keep you from being tense, which is proven to help speed up recovery. you wont get addicted to them after 10 days of taking it, if that is what you are worried about. hope your pain goes away quickly, but until then.....take um

    25g Protein

I havent heard that before. sounds fishy to me.
  11. I was able to lay on my tummy while at the park with my daughter 4 days post op. everyone is different, so you have to consider he might not be as fast as you, or he may be faster. consider how he usually acts when he gets sick. does he lay in bed and whine and require a lot of care, or does he take his medicine and continue with his normal routine. some people are just better with dealing with that stuff, or have a higher pain tolerance. way to go on the marathon btw! what a wonderful thing to accomplish! good luck to the both of you! (oh and fyi-when you are flying him home after surgery, make sure that he gets up and moves around every half an hour during the flight. this surgery puts you at an increased risk for dvt and so does flying)
  12. looking really good. as for the vitamin d, you can up your levels by getting a little more time in the sun. I work with prisoners and it is the #1 problem with their labs because they only get 1 hour a day outside.(if they even go out). of course there is always drinking more milk too, if you are not lactose intollerant now. good job, and good luck

  20. omg! I couldnt even think of smoking pot with the sleeve. for one I used to lose all self control when I used to smoke it....and would end up almost choking on all the food that I would stuff down my throat. haha I would be so affraid of bursting my stomach. Be very carefull if you cant bare to go without it. also I know that the surgeon wont want to touch you if he knows you use it. just fyi....good luck

    I Don't Know If I'm Full!

i always get the hiccups when i get to a full point. i agree with the previous poster, you dont want to fill up all the way or it hurts. I learned the hard way in the begining to take it slow and give myself at least a minute between bites to make sure it wasnt the last bite i should take. one bite to many is a very fine line for us. one side of full and the other side of way to much is just a bite away for us, and then there is bad pain when we over do it. it will get better
