    I Have A Leak!

Probably why you have been feeling so bad since surgery. I am so sorry this has happened to you, but thankful that they caught it. Praying for a speedy recovery for you! Keep us posted!
  2. Not all of us can lose all of our weight in the first 9-12 months. Sometimes you just need to ignore what others have lost and focus on what you have lost, as well as gained. I lost more than 100 pounds, but I gained 15 pounds of muscle, so I like to include that in my overall numbers. Just keep exercising, eating right, and it will come off eventually. Keep your spirits up!
  3. I would have started exercising more frequently from the start. It is easy to think in the begining that you dont need to exercise because the weight is just falling off. I didnt realize that if I had been exercising that 6 pounds of my weightloss would not have been muscle. I thankfully have been able to correct this from exercising now, and have actually recovered that 6 pounds and gained 9 more pounds of muscle since. I felt so weak back then when I was losing all of the muscle and it really has made a difference in my energy levels by just getting out there and getting busy! I am in a bootcamp now and it feels wonderful to get my ass kicked....lol
  4. The time released part may be to blame here. your stomach is not as big anymore and so they dont sit in there very long before they go into the intestines. I would talk to your doctor about switching the meds to a regular release, and also talk to him about crushing the meds as well. (you cannot crush time released meds-so dont do it). The previous poster is right that the body chemistry changes as you lose weight but usually the meds need to be decreased, not increased. I know that lamictal is available in many forms so you wont have a problem with that, but I am unfamiliar with stratera and how the dosages come. Good luck to you!
  5. same with the monthly here. I will stop losing and gain a pound or two. then after about 2 days of it being done I drop about 4-6 pounds in that week. I never thought I would look forward to my periods (except when I was able to get pregnant..lol) but I do now because I know I will lose weight after them. Dont fret about it because stress tends to make you hol onto weight as well. good luck!
  6. This sounds like a true case of buyers remorse. I had the same thing starting about week 2 and it lasted until about week 6. I am now 5 months post op and I am really very happy I did the surgery now. It is hard to see the silver lining when you are in the middle of the miserable stage, but you will get there. I have lost more than 100 pounds now and I feel so much better with everything that I do. I am a different person now, and I love the new me! I really hope you feel better soon! I know that once you get to the other side of recovery from this major surgery you will be so happy that you did this for yourself! Hang in there!!!! ((hugs))

    Stomach Flu?

I avoided it thank god! thanks for the comments.
  8. I know that we are supposed to avoid carbs, but if you just love pancakes and cant stop (like me) then I have a great way to enjoy them while getting in ALOT of protein. betty crocker complete pancake mix (makes 3 pancakes) 1/3 cup of the mix (5 grams protein) 1 egg mixed in (6 grams protein) 1/2 scoop protein shake mix ( I used Matrix bananas and cream flavor) (11.5 grams protein) 1/4 cup lowfat milk (3.5 grams of protein) mix it all together and fry it up. I dont even use syrup because the flavor from the shake mix makes it taste yummy all on its own. in all it is 26 grams of protein, and 25 grams of carbs for those who count them. I absolutely loved them, and I made them the same for my kids and hubby and they didnt even know the difference, they thought that they were regular old pancakes with banana flavor---hehe, I love sneeking healthy in!

I have always been a big flirt. Since I have been heavier guys havent been much on flirting back though. I have noticed that since I have almost lost 100 pounds I have a few more guys flirting with me again! hehe...I love it! So I guess this could be considered a nsv!

    Flirting

haha! it is fun. I just dont know what to expect. how Im gonna look. it is scary to me because before I gained weight I was very attractive to the opposite sex, but I was also young. (18) now Im 35 so I have wrinkles. I have always thought, If only I lost my weight that guy would be attracted to me....but now I'm scared that I am losing the weight but im older now, so are they really gonna be attracted to me now? One of my hubbys friends from work (hes 26) told my hubby that I was a milf now. So I guess mabye Ive still got some stuff left in me hehe At least I have a husband already so I dont have to worry about it to much...but I still wanna look good, it makes me feel good.

    Loving My Gastric Sleeve Surgery

you are doing great! dont be hard on yourself, you will get to know when to stop eating before you are to full. its like you are a baby learning how to eat again. the weight loss is totally awsome! keep up the great work. as for exercise, I just hike and dance to the wii, michael jackson the experience.....it is the best game ever, and I really burn the fat on it without even realizing it. I totally recommend it to anyone who hates to exercise but loves to dance!
  18. oh, that is so wonderful! what a great christmas presant! congrats, and I will pray for a speedy recovery!

    Nsv: Sleeve More Tolerant!

I would be excited too! Eggs are one of the best things we can eat anyways. Yeah for you!
  20. I would just tell them that while they may not support your decision, that they can still support you. When they see the results they will come around. Tell them that you are doing this for them as well, that you want to be around longer, and this is the only way to do that. Good luck to you....and you will always have support here!
  21. I had a post about a month ago about this same thing. No more resolutions about weight....now just about other things. What a wonderful thing that we did for ourselves! I love my sleeve!

    Drinking

Upp until about 2 and 1/2 months post op I wasnt able to gulp....but now I can gulp and quinch that thirst again. That was one thing that had me down for a while because I just dont feel like my thirst is quenched without gulping and I am a huge water person. Nothing else quenches my thirst. Thankfully once the swelling went down this was resolved. It will get better
  23. sounds like you are working that sleeve! keep it up girl!
